Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

As the two passed by the seven goblinesses he too overheard snippets of the conversation the group had regarding them. It was good to know that at least some of the females were recognizing Breden as a possible mate. Griz would have given the young goblin a pat on the back for achieving that but they were both busy toting around a dead deer. A few moments of silence passed before the younger goblin asked if they were going to cut up the deer at his place. "Yep. Got a flint knife that cuts well." Griz says offhandedly as they made the turn towards the back of his hut.

Sparse as it may have been, it gave them more than enough room to butcher and skin the deer. "Alright give me a second." The older goblin says as he tied a rope to the deer's lower half and climbed up a small tree to lay the rope across a sturdy branch so that they could hoist the carcass up with relative ease. "Breden, get the knife and the big wooden bowl from inside my hut while I tie the rope to secure the deer."

The crossbow-wielding man froze as the kappas finally broke through the party's defensive line. Even with the slowed perception of time with [Zoned In], he was unsure if he can avoid the kappa's attack. So Raime made the most of the bad situation and took the shot nonetheless, a bolt lodged itself into the kappa...just as the 2.2-meter tall slab of meat tackled the kappa, all the while jamming another bolt into its side. But the kappa lunged to Klein, trying to get a beakful of his face. Raime made a split-second decision to jump to the aid of the massive man...just as Klein shoved his entire arm down the kappa's throat! The crossbow user visibly recoiled as he witnessed everything in graphic ultra-realistic high definition detail. "Jesus fucking Christ!" Jesus fucking Christ indeed. It was a miracle that Raime didn't empty his virtual guts at the sight, but all bravado he mustered in a split second to help Klein vanished just as quickly as it manifested.

Despite his horror, he still wished to provide assistance to the giant.

Diving back into the fray, Raime uses his slowed perception of time to help him close the distance and get into position with minimal risk. He then raises his crossbow over his head and takes aim at the kappa's ribs; intending to strike at full force with the butt of his crossbow.

"Maybe, Breden. Maybe." Griz says with a chuckle as he takes his bow back from the younger goblin. "But you've got potential. So, chin up! You've got your whole life ahead of you." This wasn't empty flattery to help raise the young hunter's self-confidence. He'd hunted with goblins older than he was that still have difficulty with tracking down a wounded prey. Breden not only managed to keep track of it on land but even when the trail ran cold still managed to find it.

Griz then approached Breden just before he began dressing the now dead deer. "Half and half is fair. You want help with the deer?" Griz held no doubt that Breden could have done the whole deer by himself but they were burning daylight and Griz really disliked the idea of toting a freshly killed deer in the middle of a dark forest when all the nocturnal predators come out to play.
Griz couldn't help but smile at the younger goblin.

To think that he had grown so much in just a little over a few months. Breden had great potential to be a great hunter and Griz was proud that he was able to help him on his path. Though upon encountering the stream Griz balked and grew slightly pale. The trauma of being swept away and nearly drowning was still rather fresh but he had to keep composure for the sake of keeping Breden focused on the task at hand. They were on a hunt for the sake of the village and leaving a wounded animal to suffer longer than necessary would upset the Nature Spirits. Keeping a brave face, he resisted the urge to make a dash out of the water and kept following Breden's lead. Sure enough, they encountered their mark once again.

Griz gave Breden a nod to convey the feeling of pride he felt to the up-and-coming hunter. "Excellent job, Breden. Now for the true test." Griz then produces his bow and arrow quiver and hands it to him. "Take the shot, young hunter. May the Ancestor Spirits guide your hand."
It had been three whole months since the incident regarding Griz, the magically enhanced orc, and the ominous dragon pendant. The pendant itself, along with the runed dwarven shortsword, were kept in the shaman's hut for safekeeping. And that was the end of that.

No orcish warband came to avenge their fallen brother, no magical curse/plague befell their village for having the pendant, and, most importantly, no adventurers came looking for the pendant.

It was peaceful.

"Remember, may your prey be beast or person, getting the drop on them almost always guarantees a kill." Griz whispers as he nocks an arrow and draws it back ever so slowly. Making sure that the deer was more focused on the pile of berries he left in the open rather than the goblin hunters hidden in the canopy above. He stays deathly quiet, going so far as to not even breathe at the moment before he loses his arrow. It embeds itself into the creature's upper body. It lets out a pained bawl before dashing off deeper into the woods. "A good clean hit." He says with a smile as he turns to face his hunting companion, Breden. "It won't make it far. Care to show me how good you've gotten with tracking?" Griz asks the younger goblin. Hoping that he'd been helping the younger hunter improve himself during the times he'd asked him to tag along while hunting for the tribe.
The RP is alive again? Good to hear. I can finally place this back from my Archived Subscriptions.

Raime's aim was trained at the kappa as it began to make hand gestures that confused him, though he was 100% sure that it spelled bad news to the party. Exhaling slowly, [Zoned In] activated once more as everything went in slow motion. The frothing bubble was just about to float out of the kappa's head as he let loose the bolt that swiftly lodged itself into the kappa's chest. Raime would have celebrated on hitting the creature but, despite hitting his mark, the kappa had already cast the spell. Raime winced as the ball of water majiks cast by the kappa smashed into Ames, Klien, and Mags with enough force to nearly knock them down. To make matters even worse, the spear weilding one capitalized in the majik attack. Ari tried her best to bodycheck the kappa but she was knocked back with a new shallow cut to her side. Raime was a second away from joining in the fray with the spear kappa when Lew glanced to him and nodded to convey that he ought to keep doing what he did to keep the other kappa from interfering further. Raime quickly gave a determined nod back to Lew and redoubled his efforts in keeping the other kappa busy.

"Use these to stab the bastards!" Raime yells to his party as he grabs a handful of basic bolts and tossed them to them. Bolts, bad improvised weapons as they may be, would likely deal more damage than just simply smacking the kappa with their fists. Afterward, Raime begins the tedious process of reloading his crossbow once again. Making sure to keep an eye out for any incoming attacks heading his way so that he could react appropriately and dodge.

If all things goes well enough, he would repeat the process of tracking the kappas movements and shoot when given an opportune moment.

Raime clicked his tongue in mild disappointment as the kappa reacted quickly enough to dodge his bolt. He should have expected that the kappa wouldn't just stand there and let itself get shot. The AI's complexity was phenomenal; it was as if it were a genuine creature trying its best to fight for its life. But, yet again, not the proper time to admire the game. With practiced movements, he sets the butt of the crossbow to his thigh and uses both his hands to draw the bowstring back. Though as virtual reality would have it, pulling back the metal limbs of a crossbow was significantly harder than plexiglass limbs. Fucking thing must have had more than quadruple the draw weight of his own crossbow in real life. Quickly giving up his usual method of reloading, he would plant the sirup on the ground and pull upward with all his might. The aching feeling in his hands and back reminded him that he ought to buy some gloves and a reloading lever if he were to keep playing at 100% realism. Almost doubling his usual seven-second reload time, Raime finally manages to reload his crossbow.

Raime would now retake his stance and keep an eye to where the wakizashi wielding kappa hoping that, if he were to track the creature's movement, it would increase his chances of hitting the kappa.

Edward Marsh

Ed paused for a moment after smashing through the giant bug.

A sense of pride filling his heart that he'd gotten strong enough to kill a myrminor in one hit. He wasn't even using his great club too! Though he couldn't savor it for long, they were here on a mission and he was far from finished with his part of the plan. He'd carefully dragged the corpse, making sure to keep the noise down but also a steady pace. Ed would hear Mother Rat's discontent. "Ah, sorry about that." Ed whispered to her before pausing slightly to scoop some of the bloody blue insect flesh from the myrminor's cracked head and toss it to Mother Rat. "There. A little something-something for tagging along." He wouldn't wait for her to eat the chunk of flesh before he returned to his task.

Once he'd reached roughly 10m of the camp, he would give himself a moment or two to look for where Asteria was in the camp. Once he'd confirmed her presence, he would scoop out some more meat for Mother Rat and to her to stay there and keep hidden. Once he was confident he'd delivered his message, he goes and grabs a massive chunk of the bloodiest bits he could get from the dead myrminor.

While going to each side of the bandit camp, he'd activate his [Muffle II] skill to drastically lessen his chances of breaking stealth; and Upon reaching each side, he would not only smear the blood all over random trees but also partially bury a piece of the flesh in the ground. Hiding it mostly under fallen leaves, but keeping it uncovered to help saturate the area with the pheromones. Once all sides of the camp were practically laced with distress pheromones, he'd go back to where Mother Rat and the myrminor corpse was and gestured to her to follow him back. Particularly, to the place where they previously overlooked the camp; licking his hands clean of blood and scraps of meat.

Raime was inspecting and appreciating the feel and look of his crossbow and the leather pouch that contained his bolts. They were far different from the crossbow he regularly uses at the local archery range, the most prominent difference being that this one was made from wood and metal instead of lightweight synthetic materials. Though he wasn't complaining, this was a real beauty of a weapon. It was around this time when the rest of his group arrived. A couple of his buddies looking way worse than he remembered, but he could guess that the brawl went swimmingly as Mags wasn't pestering them about fighting anymore. He simply gives them a nod as they wordlessly traversed the plains that surrounded the Pearl Bloom River. He would have appreciated the trek a little bit more if only the dozens upon dozens of immortals ran to and fro across the place weren't there. The death rattles of the monsters they killed didn't help one bit.

Though after a while, they encountered their very first monster encounter in the game. A pair of turtle humanoids wielding rudimentary spears. Raime gawked at the creatures in awe and amusement. They looked soo cool! He would have kept looking but Lew warned them about their wrestling prowess and their weak point was the water contained atop their heads, reminding him that they weren't here to say hi. These creatures were here to fight. Raime was already loading a bolt when Mags barked out orders. "Way ahead of you, Mags." He says just as Lew got kicked in what seemed to be in the boingloings. The sight alone caused Raime to flinch and push his thighs together.

He was starting to question if putting his user experience to hyper-realistic was such a wise choice after all. Though, given the situation, he had more pressing matters to attend to.

Raime levels the crossbow and takes his shooting position. Focusing on the turtle creature that just kicked his buddy in the didgeridoos and aims at the creature's leg. Hoping that, if he hits, it would give Lew an advantage against it and turn the tide of battle. Imagining it to be like one of the targets he'd shot innumerable times back at the range, he holds his breath and activates [Zoned In] before letting loose the bolt.
