Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Sunny days are meant to be spent in a dark room surfing the net and watching series in netflix.

Eating a stick of butter is not as fun as it sounds to be.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

Despite him starting early in the morning, it was disheartening to see fewer and fewer places to forage as the unforgiving cold of winter began creeping in. Griz had just returned with a small sack full of berries and edible flowers he had gathered. Not much to contribute to the village's granary but it was always better than nothing.

It was around the same time that a small stocky goblin had called out to him, covered head to toe with ramshackle pieces of bark. "Griz! Where have you been? It's almost time for us to begin patrols." The stocky goblin sees the meager bag of foraged goods and the rather disappointed look on the other goblin's face. "Don't feel too bad, Griz. It's like what the shaman says: 'Nature is just resting after three seasons of providing blessings.' It's out of our hands."

Griz could only sigh and nod to the consoling words of the stockier goblin. "I know but...yeah. Completely out of our control." He sighs. "I'll be in the gathering point in a short while. Ancestors guide you, Rom."

The stocky goblin replied with his own well-wishes before leaving. Griz on the other hand had to prepare for the patrol. Gods know only what they could encounter in the forest and, Griz knew that if they were to encounter the goblins of the rival tribe, some of them may not be coming home tonight...
Exactly why I'm curious.
Nah I just thought there would be some sort of secret hidden away only rogues with high perception could have seen.
Oh well.
Thanks for the info but now I'm even more curious as to what I could have discovered if my roll wasn't complete shit.

I don't think an 8 would give me anything of significance.
May I justify rolling a perception for clues with my proficiency with thieves cant?

Ed smiled as their plan was falling into place. The bugs could not have arrived at a more opportune time; allowing the attention of the bandits to be focused on the new arrivals instead of finding out where he, Asteria, and mother rat were hidden. They could even enter the base proper if they so chose to. Maybe the base had more information about the world and perhaps better gear...but that seemed to be a double-edged sword. They would be able to enter the structure but if the battle goes awry they would be stuck inside the enemy base, between a rock and a hard place. Literally. No getting out of there alive.

There's no respawn or continues as far as he knew. If they die. That's it.
But he can at least mitigate the risk.

"Both of us sneaking in now would be too risky. There may be information and better gear inside but getting trapped inside would mean a death sentence." Ed whispered to Asteria as he observed the bandits fight. Learning their moves and trying to identify possible weaknesses they could exploit. "But if one of us goes and the other stays to make an opening, we can lessen the risk of getting trapped. You're smaller and sneakier than I am, so I'll stay behind and do my damnedest to give you an opening if shit hits the fan inside." Ed finishes proposing his suggested course of action for the situation.

His eyes never leave the fight as he grasps his great club. Psyching himself up for the task at hand and gathering as much information as he can against his opponents.

Nearly a month had passed since the old goblin smith had given Griz and Breden their gifts.

Griz would become easily used to the blade. He would go even so far as to claim that Koglan had outdone himself with the craftsmanship of the dagger. May it be harvesting fruits and berries to piercing the skulls of boars or giant frogs, the blade performed exceptionally well. Though the true test of the blade was soon to come. One of the hunters spotted a rival tribe's scouting party dangerously deep within their borders. The Shaman and the Chief suspected that they were prodding their defenses and looking for weaknesses they could exploit.

A telltale sign that they were about to be beset by a raid within the next handful of days.

It was understandable. The cold season would be upon them soon and nature's bounties will not be enough for those who did not prepare accordingly. And as it would seem, their foes are getting desperate to procure those supplies. Though they would be fools to assume that they would be letting this happen lying down.

They needed to bolster their defenses and prepare themselves as best as they could.

Raime's perception of time slowed to a snail's pace compared to normal. Letting him see the monstrous centipede woman in horrifying detail. If this had not been a game, the man would have surely lost a significant portion of his sanity just by laying his eyes upon the vile parody of life. Their tank had chosen to take initiative in the encounter. Tossing one of his talismans against the monster before approaching the catgirl to...wait. He wasn't trying to carry her off. He was trying to tackle her! At her level, even a single tackle from Lugh could possibly kill her!

With little else to do than to try to mitigate the damage and make the best of the situation, Raime activated [Zoned In] and buff his already ludicrous speed. Allowing him to break past the 300kmph barrier and attain a whopping 351kmph sprint. A speed that could have easily rivaled the F1 cars used in races. Hopefully, the 100kmph difference between Lugh's maximum speed and Raime's would be significant enough for the scout to take the brunt of the damage intended for Ari and allow him to carry her to a safe distance just before the monster could retaliate against Lugh or him.

Raime would ensure that he would support the catgirl's head and neck as he slowed down to pick her up; to prevent whiplash that may just snap her neck from the sudden acceleration as he ran to his max speed once again. Gradually slowing down before letting Ari down and talking to her. "You really should stop running off alone like that. Especially in places like these." Raime finishes with a concerned but firm look before facing the monster they were facing and using [Asess] to see the difference in overall power and maybe get some extra information about its stats.

The ranger nodded in agreement with the suggestion. Nothing else to be done now that their informant unconscious. "Yeah, as ready as I can be right now." He replies while making sure that the crossbow was loaded with bolts and his dagger and sword easily available just in case things go south real quick inside the bathhouse. With nothing left to say, he spearheads the group into the establishment.
