Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

A Turning Point

@Leophael @myinneroblivion @ShadowsofNight

Bob's arms and legs ached badly. His gloves and boots ensured that majority of the force was absorbed and he avoided severe injury, and possibly, death. He wouldn't be fighting at 100% any more, but the fire of determination in Bob kept him running. Was he about to let this dusted up dummy kill him or the others? Hell no! But he still needed time to get up. Fortunately Talia was there to provide the much needed back-up and distraction that Bob needed. The razor tipped ribbons lashed at the brute's face and regardless of how thick his muscles were, his eyes were still the same squishy slimy spheres as when he was still normal. The effect was immediate as crimson life fluid spurted from where an eye should have been. Success! But only a partial one as when Talia's ribbons wrapped around the brute's hand and by sheer power alone, yanked the Performer mid-jump and causing her to be dragged closer to the rampaging mutant. Close enough for her to be in range of the flailing arms of the pseudo super human.

Things were looking bleak.

Manny was bleeding pretty badly from his arm injury, but from the sound of the Jersey Devil's command to duck and the sound of something breaking and splintering, his allies were getting a worse beating than he was. Talia's cry of disbelief made the dread he felt even worse. Had he led his new companions to their deaths? The man's knees began to shake once more. "What's the matter, chump?" Bucur takes a sharp breath. "Finally realizing you fucked up?" Scowling at the injured man Manny yells at him. "S-shut up!" Façade makes a wheezing sound that echoed a chuckle. "Play time...over, wannabe." He hated how even now the villains didn't take them seriously. How their group was the butt end of every joke in the hero community. Hated how all their blood, sweat, and tears were being disregarded like trash! The shapeshifting villain finishes wheezing out a chuckle and lunges at the seemingly disheartened Manny, intending to kill him...but gets knocked out.

Manny had used his armored hand to parry the knife's blade and slug Façade in the face. Leaving Bucur dumbstruck. "No." He wasn't letting his new CHAMPs die here. They were the CHAMPs and champions don't give up! Turning around and leaping from the railings of the VIP area he free falls to the semi-blinded mutant man. "Omega Zap!" He removed the suit's safety limiter and discharged the full wattage the suit had to offer. He was risking his life to prove that they were heroes worthy of respect. But more importantly, he was risking it to make sure his new friends were coming home alive.

There was a brief flash of light and a deafening boom as if a lightning bolt had struck the dance floor.

As Talia and Bob blinked away the disorientation they saw Manny on the floor alongside the mutant brute, both of them having 3rd degree burns in the pattern of a branching tree...but even after that sacrifice, the over dusted up monster stood back up. Albeit with barely any fight left within it; but it was still rearing to go fight and kill it's opponents.

It was up to the two remaining heroes to finish it off now that Manny had knocked himself out and Link was still too shocked to move.

Franklin headed down the side road from the main road he heard the voice. Night was approaching at an uncomfortable speed and the last thing he wanted to do was to stay overnight in an abandoned town. God knows what kind of animals or dangerous people could be in this derelict town? He'd considered calling for help but getting arrested for trespassing did not sit well with the man, and even if he were willing the hills interfered with the signal and he doubted that the cell towers in the town were still functional after all these years of disrepair.

"I really really hope I get out of here soon."The thought of dying here sent chills down the man's spine and the idea of making his wife, best friend, and adoptive father suffer that way made him determined to leave this place alive. He didn't have to jog long before he made it into the town proper. The light of day had disappeared behind the hills and he was forced to use his phone as a way to see where he was going. At night, Silent Hill seemed even more creepy than it had any right to be. The overgrown buildings seemed to be like empty husks, the cracks on the road and sidewalks resembled spiderwebs, and even the shadows seemed to move and jump at him at times. But regardless on how he felt, he forged onward. "Silent Hill has loads of roads leading in and out. Bound to be at least one way where folks illegally got in. Of course there would be one or two near here...r-right?" The lone man muttered to himself as he wandered the dark streets of the cursed town.

Reaching the first intersection, it was revealed that the way out of town had been fenced off like the way he entered. Similarly for the next intersection. Franklin was getting disheartened. Then something fell on his head causing him to yelp before it fell to the road. Shining his flashlight to what it was, it was his car keys. Irritated he looked up to the night sky and berated the bird flying overhead that only now decided to return the keys. "Thanks so FUCKING much you little shit." He harshly whispered to the unseen bird. But before he even could utter another word, he notices something fluttering on the abandoned Happy Burger beside him. There was an old note taped onto the dust caked window he could barely look into. Approaching the worn paper, he began to read it.

Joey, I'm so sorry. I couldn't do it any more.
This town, no, this HELL is too much for me.
I really wanted to see you again, but the monsters keep getting mommy.
Mommy just wants to leave now.
Please. Mommy didn't mean to leave you in the bath.
Forgive mommy for letting you drown.
forgivemeforgivemeforgivemeforgivemeforgivemeforgivemeforgivemeforgiveme

LET ME GO.

"Creepy." He mutters under his breath as he steps back and steps on something. Looking down he sees a crumpled tourist's map of Silent Hill. "This...this could be useful in keeping track of blocked roads." He unfolds the map as best he can and takes a photograph of it. Once satisfied with the photo, he begins to squiggle red marks on the roads that he had encountered to be blocked. With that done, he begins to cautiously explore the town further.
Not trying to sound pushy, but are we going to get a GM post soon?
Yo GM.
Do you wanna pm you our character's twist/deepest secret/repressed memory to make setting up situations for them easier or nah?

...The Harder They Fall

@Leophael @myinneroblivion @ShadowsofNight

As the battle raged on below, Manny did his best to pull out as many zip ties as his hands could carry. "Man, I knew buying these in bulk would be useful in the future." The man muttered to himself as he restrained the thugs' hands behind their backs and their legs together. When he tried to tie the shapeshifting drug peddler, he was surprised to not see the villain on the floor. Manny began to panic as he thought the group's first ever villain arrest had escaped their grasp in the heat of the battle with Bucur. But after scanning the area again he finally notices that Façade had snuck up on him and, worse, procured himself a mean looking switchblade. Without any hesitation, a quick stab was given to the Latino Man.

The blade pierced his unarmored forearm without any resistance, forcing the man to drop the case of Diamond Dust inhalers. "GAH FUCK!" "I...I may not be...getting out of here free..." Façade wheezed out an unsteady breath. Bob's earlier attack had broken a number of his ribs and made it exceptionally hard to breathe and much more to talk. "But...I'll kill your bitch...ass before that...happens." Bucur may have been in pain and occupied preventing from bleeding out, but the sight of one of his attackers caused the big man to let out a guffaw. "Told you wannabe...guh...you're fuckin' dead." He was hurt and it was a 1 on 1 fight with an armed villain. Guess he'd take a little longer before he could help his comrades down in the dance floor against the behemoth of a man.

In the dance floor, it was made painfully obvious that despite their 100% they were doing superficial damage to the artificial super. Akin to a bear fighting against two cats. The muscles swelled to the point that even the lacerations of Bob's claws and Talia's razor tipped ribbons seemed to only irritated the drug crazed man. Blinded by rage, Bob failed to evade a big meaty hand that grabbed his arm and nearly popped the arm from the socket as he was thrown off. From clawing away at the meaty back of the brute to suddenly having his vision blur as he careened to Talia. Bob would have a heartbeat's time to do something before he hit the woman.

Talia knew that Link would be relatively safe behind the bar if she and Bob fought the overdusted brute head on...but that was quite a tall order, but with the sight of the Jersey Devil's brutal heroics inspired the woman to fight back...but sadly to little effect as the hulking brute tanked the damage and even managed to use the masked hero as a projectile against Talia from her position. She could try to catch him but that would damage her while mitigating Bob's damage received. Alternatively she could dodge out of the way, saving herself but would cause Bob to slam into the bar and likely to severe injury...if not outright death.

Decisions, decisions...

Franklin had been standing at the observation deck for what he assumed to be nearly two hours now. Hands placed atop the aged and mossy cement divider as he stared vacantly to the lake and of the legendary town of Silent Hill. The chilly Maine breeze barely phasing him as it blew at his back. As if trying to goad him closer to the town. He'd left Brahms a little while ago to cool off after having a heated argument with Eris regarding topics about his late father.

His father.

The passing thought causes the man to scowl deeply and grip the divider tightly. It had been twenty years since he was saved from and rid of that vile excuse of a human being...and now he had to die. Not only that, but have the balls to request Franklin to attend his funeral and the audacity to be buried beside his mother? No. Not now. Not in his lifetime. NOT EVER.

"Fuck...Even after dying, that piece of shit still finds a way to make me suffer. Typical." He mutters under his breath quietly as he finally decides to step away from the divider. But just as he pushes himself away from the divider and take his car keys out of his pocket a magpie swoops in and causes the meek man to flinch and drop his keys, much to his annoyance; made worse by the fact that the thieving bird took the opportunity flew away with his keys deeper into the woods. "Great job Franklin, you jumpy klutz. You got robbed by a bird." He berated himself as he chased after the bird.

A brief jog later and he was still hot on the trail of the thieving bird until he hit the security fence, almost literally. He grumbled to himself as he could see the bird fly further into the decrepit skyline of Silent Hill but not far enough for him to loose sight of it. He was about ready to give up and turn back and call for Triple A when he saw a gap in the fence big enough for him to squeeze through. He really wanted to just cut his losses and head back to Brahms...but something was making him go onward despite it being a terrible decision. Upon reaching the other side of the fence he heard a voice call out in the distance. "KAL!!! KALI, COME!" Thinking that a state patrol had seen him, ran and hid behind a dumpster while he waited for a minute. Then five. Then ten.

Once he was sure that the 'patrol officer' had left, he finally gets to his senses and decides that paying 140 dollars for a towing service didn't sound bad after all. But as fate would have it, upon returning to the way he entered, the way was gone. "There was a hole here...it's gone now." Franklin held his head in disbelief as he tried to look at the fence from different angles to no avail. He could try to swim past the fence but with how little he worn and the chill of Maine, that could easily spell his demise by hypothermia. If he tried to climb over, he'd get badly cut up by the rusted razor and barbed wire. "Great. Franklin you colossal moron. You shouldn't have gone in. Now you're stuck in this ghost town." The man laid his head on the chain linked security fence in frustration. "Ok. New plan. Find a way out of this place before I get arrested or worse."
Just giving a heads up that in 2 days I'll be making another IC update post.
