Why couldn’t it end when it was over?

*Links my arm with yours and pulls you tight*
Data said this was a known problem with her soul’s stability, right? This isn’t because of anything you did.

*Trembles*
I can’t be if the chain of events that lead to this pain you both feel, starts with me. It’s not deserved, and it definitely isn’t right. The end of a “hero’s” job is met with cheers, smiles, and celebration. But everything was quiet when it was all over. The silence was so loud that my ears felt like they were bleeding. And people continue to hurt because of it. Violet, you, mom, dad, Melody, X… Countless families. If I was a real hero, it’d be me instead of any of you.

We’re around because of the billions by billions of people who died covering my inability to handle it sooner. Heck, I didn’t even do anything. Our dads were the ones who did the heavy lifting and ended it all.

I can't handle this being my fault too. It can't be.

*Stands in silence*

Was she hurt? There was so much to keep track of back then. I should have kept a closer eye...

*Recoils slightly, then blinks in realization*
I guess that does line up, huh...

I agree with that much at least. After she was patched up, I'm hoping this information being in her work didn't immediately remind her of anything without us realizing. Have you been spending much time with her recently?
