Bio

Biopunk, comic book (still mostly superheroes mind you), fantasy and oddball character aficionado. I'm back and ready to git loogin'. I am a Hufflepuff Primary with a Ravenclaw Secondary. I probably model Gryffindor as a secondary and model Gryffindor primary as well. Those are just my hunches but I bleed black and yellow. Though Pittsburgh can go plug a hole for all I care. My spirit guide is Phoebe Buffay which is awesome and fits me like a glove. For you Meyers-Briggs enthusiasts I'm a ESFP

I write almost every day either as a novel or just as casting for my many idea for RPs or just stories. Theme and genres for RPs are mostly superheroes (any kind prefer original superheroes but not against DC or Marvel at all), fantasy (original ideas get a cut to the front), urban fantasy, and biopunk and most any soft sci-fi. Romance is a great sub genre. School RPs are fine but put a spin on them. I'm now open to anime games, I'm team Digimon 4 lyfe and Ah! My Goddess still holds up. I have realized I totally suck at large RPs mostly because I just can't keep up with them under any circumstances, this was a suspicion I had for a long time and it has just been confirmed. I am a Christian as well, if that fact alone makes you squirm please don't cross my path, I will merely ignore you. If it doesn't welcome to my mind.

Faceclaim: Skandar Keynes

Name: Cameron Waterfield

Species: Human

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 165lbs

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Body Type: Skinny

Eye Color: Dark brown

Hair Color: Very Dark brown

Skin Color: Pale white

Relationship Status: Single

Personality: Determined and hard working, Cameron is a very focused person and when he sets his mind to something, he’ll damn well try hard to get there whether it takes a day or a year. He’s quietly confident – behind the loner persona, he’s not shy. He’s more inquisitive and confident, he just doesn’t show it on the surface too well. Cameron is also very calm. It is very hard to ruffle his feathers and he keeps his nerve exceptionally well under pressure. However, he can be selfish – he’s not a very trusting person, he keeps a lot to himself and doesn’t like sharing. He can also be incredibly fickle. He can have a habit of going his own way rather than sticking to the plan; he’s been on his own this long why should he start trusting others now?

Fighting Style: Calm and collected. Cameron will work out a strategy before striking and he will seek out higher ground, not only for the sake of his weapon but also for the surveillance opportunities it can give to him. He can strike with a calculated attack, rather than charging around blind

Hobbies: Reading, cartography, archery, hiking

Habits: correcting people, if he thinks they are wrong, he’ll correct them immediately.
Being his own team
Rolling and unrolling his sleeves

Likes: quiet, maps, dark forests, mountains

Dislikes: loud places, alcohol, close combat

Fears: mildly claustrophobic, it’s more discomfort than an actual fear. Mildly scared of snakes; though he plays it off as hatred for them.

Bio: The Waterfield family made a big name for themselves in the property market as a property refurbishment form attached to an estate agents chain. Of 3 siblings, Cameron is the youngest and by their standards the black sheep and rebel of the family. He never got on with his two older siblings as they were more alike than he ever was. He spent his childhood racing through the woods whilst they were busy being taught the family business at home. Annabelle and Jason are willing heirs to the family business - Jason being the oldest, is already a partner at the firm and works closely with their father. Annabelle is the middle child and she moved overseas to stay in the business to build a partnership with overseas businesses. Cameron is the youngest and has no idea what he wants to make of his life but knows that he wants nothing to do with them, instead being interested in maps and history. He’s the rebel of the family in that sense. Zala takes a liking to him for it as he’s the least spoilt and takes the least for granted with her, though he can still be a brat.

He found the bow one day on one of his misadventures in a forest. He came across it in a ransacked tomb - the bow being the only thing of value left behind. He was going to leave it behind too when it called out to him. Being a fellow archer, she felt a connection and wanted her freedom after her previous owner died fighting in a battle against magic hundreds of years ago.

When Cameron found her, she continued to mourn for her previous owner. She cared for him because he cared for her and part of her resents Cameron for not being Ethelrae. She was crafted into his bow and spend her life with him fighting side by side until she was buried with him. This was so long ago that the modern world perturbes her and she is resentful of the new-founded things in this new land

Description of Weapon:

Weapon Name: Fothaes

Weapon Type: Shortbow

Weapon Personality: Mildly possessive, yet distant. She offers insight into fights, schemes and directions with self-confidence and authority. She is not talkative and isn’t personal with Cameron - it’s almost a strict business relationship. She had a more personal relationship with her previous owner and it is mourning for them that has made her so distant and almost resentful towards Cameron.

Weapon abilities:
Blaze: the arrow shot from the bow will erupt into flames upon contact with a surface
Strike: the bow will release a lightning strike rather than an arrow
Hawkeye: the bow will allow the user to see up to 50m further than their eyes will allow and provide a more accurate target to aim for

Relationship with owner: as above, Fothaes is distant from Cameron and their relationship is formal and business-like. She is resentful that she has him now rather than her previous owner.

Faceclaim:
Kathy Bates

Name: Zala Underbridge

Species: Gnome

Height: 3’2”

Weight: 20kg

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Body Type: Pudgy and broad

Eye Color: Dark brown

Hair Color: salt and pepper blonde.

Skin Color: Ruddy and tanned in places that see the sun regularly

Relationship Status: Single, though some would say unhappily married to her weapon (see below)

Personality: Zala is a cranky and easily irritated gnome that gets by with sending everyone a grimace and a huff. She is obedient and fiercely protective, particularly of the Waterfields but she will mumble and grumble as she does so. She is motherly and very hard working, and she loves a good gossip. She can also hold a grudge and can be quite conniving when she is riled.

Fighting Style: Rough and ready, Zala will swing for the weak spots and ask questions later. She can be a loose cannon in that she doesn’t think about her actions before she takes them.

Hobbies: Complaining, watching fish in the garden pond

Habits: interrupting others, picking her nose, sneering at things she dislikes

Likes: Bossing Izzy around
Neat and tidy rooms
Fish pie

Dislikes: Kameron’s older brother
Being interrupted
Babies crying

Fears: Spiders and woodlice

Bio: The Underbridges first began working for the Waterfield family in the 17th century and since then they have been born into service and died under the same family name for centuries now. Zala was born into service and as soon as she was old enough she started working alongside her mother for the Waterfields. She enjoyed working with her mother and learnt a lot from her, especially when she learnt about magic. The stories were passed down through the Underbridge generations, alongside a box containing a mysterious object that nobody had seen, but all believed had magical powers that would one day reveal themselves. On her deathbed too early, Zala’s mother presented her with the box to carry on and give to her own children in the future. That night, Zala’s mother passed and she became the sole gnome working in the Waterfield household. She grew closer to Kameron, the youngest of the three children in the household, as he was different to the other two - he made her laugh because he was defiant and so calm about it. He wasn’t cocky like his older siblings. It was during the celebration of the new year - the year of the sheep that the box opened and Zala was... disappointed to find that it was an old rusty iron. She almost threw it back under her bed when she felt the chill of the presence within it. It introduced itself as Isiah and she could sense the magic it held. She scrubbed it and made it shine as much as she could, then tied it to her belt. It has kept her company ever since.

Description of Weapon:

Weapon Name: Isiah, nicknamed ‘Izzy’

Weapon Type: Iron

Weapon Personality: Isiah is old at heart and a complacent weapon, happy to take orders. However, like Zala, he is prone to complaining and disagreeing, though in the end he’ll follow Zala’s commands and thoughts.

Weapon abilities:
Extend: the iron’s wire can extend at will to however long the user needs it to be.
Heat/flare: the flat iron itself becomes red hot and acts as a heated plate to attack with
Steam: the iron will shoot out hot steam.
Generally, Isiah is used almost like a kusarigama, with his long wires being used to entangle the enemies, or used to flail the iron head to hit and damage enemies.

Relationship with owner: Kameron often jokes that Zala and Isiah are like soulmates, saying that they bicker like man and wife but pull through in the end. A lifetime of serving others meant that Zala was finally given something that she could have some control over when she was given Isiah. He is complacent and allows her to tell him what to do, though he will complain and let her know about every discomfort he feels. They have a close bond and work very well together; they just bicker and argue all day long about anything that they can. In this way they are similar to one and other.
Both character accepted I will post them in the character sheet part tomorrow as I have plans with friends tonight. I am very happy to see a nice team of three :) Welcome to Forever Worthy.
thanks I forgot about Payback.
@Mariana Collie Mine are Saint Bernards never had one but I've met plenty of them and they're awesome.
This RP is inspired by old school revenge films like Deathwish, Unforgiven and Get Carter. More recent films are the original Old Boy, John Wick and Kill Bill. It also has a 100 Bullets a comic series by Brian Azarello and a little bit of the tropes I like in my own writing because me. You don't need to read the material to know what this RP is like nor the movies but it's kinda preferrred you at least read the wiki entries

You play someone who was wronged by a group of bad people. It can be lowlife thugs, organized crime, a political group or any group really. You start out damaged physically, mentally and skill wise since this was a very recent beating you just survived. They also probably killed or kidnapped your love one. You're in a dark alley and you get a vision of an old, scarred Asian man smoking a cigarette flipping off those who wronged you and telling you he HAS the way to get them back forever. Since you're in an RP you say yes. You head to a cabin in the woods where you meet the team of fellow "Trees" as the man you've seen from your who calls him self "Scratch Cassidy" despite not being remotely Irish. Together with your fellow Trees and Mr Scratch, the team of wronged individuals will face off those who delivered pain upon them.

The RP is gritty with a healthy dose of questioning one's sanity as you accepted to follow a man who just might be insane and is training you into being a killing machine and literally giving you powers for the sole purpose of killing people who wronged you. Superpowers are existent but you will not start out with them and they're low-level (the highest power level is around Alan Scott the Golden Age Green Lantern who while fairly powerful for a Golden Age superhero was thwarted by a club because it was made of wood). Will you as Trees get revenge on those who wronged them? Is Scratch Cassidy a benevolent man? Will you find closure somewhere else with your newfound friends forged in tragedy?

Here are some things I will add before you plan out your character.

While you can play any age, this game I think would be A LOT more rewarding RP wise if you play someone older late 20s and up for instance. They have their lives planned out (usually), have a spouse and kids, have some fleshed out skills and also in order for this game to matter. You gotta lose something. A teen or a young 20 year old might have dreams, hopes and aspirations but apart from a prodigy or planning since birth I doubt he is happy with something like a full on life as I described.

Superpowers and how you get them will be discussed via PM with me and you. The superpowers are in a way like a steroid or a PED, they will help you A LOT but they're parasitic, will harm you in the long run and given to you by a sketchy source. You can always decline the superpower offer mind you.

I put Romance in the genre for a reason, while this is a throwback to 80s revenge flicks where love interests... die among other things, love can be a powerful motivator and an anchor for your character to not turn into a sociopathic product of the cycle of violence. It can be a PC or an NPC, let me know and I can tailor make a soulmate for your PC that can also challenge them in some ways. Remember you've lost someone (probably permanently) you aren't going to be attached from the get go.

I have A LOT of ways to deal with a lot of things. Don't expect this game to be as linear as the movies it is inspired from.

I am sticking to a small group RP. I'm already running another small group RP and these two will have my hands full.

That's all now start throwing stuff into your vengeance gazpacho since it's best served cold :P
hey yo how are you doing fellow dog lover?
I'm on board however I have questions:

Is this a fictional world or a historical fictional earth?

Either way which countries will be relevant? I want to play a Polish or Balkan Hussar for example or a Russian Cossack.

Ok so you can play as royalty, nobility, a guard or a pirate if I'm getting this right?

Baron Corbin's got nothing on me fivehead wise
small but fine
Character sent, really hyped and hope this game gets some more players gotta keep focused on good things this year.
