Bio

Biopunk, comic book (still mostly superheroes mind you), fantasy and oddball character aficionado. I'm back and ready to git loogin'. I am a Hufflepuff Primary with a Ravenclaw Secondary. I probably model Gryffindor as a secondary and model Gryffindor primary as well. Those are just my hunches but I bleed black and yellow. Though Pittsburgh can go plug a hole for all I care. My spirit guide is Phoebe Buffay which is awesome and fits me like a glove. For you Meyers-Briggs enthusiasts I'm a ESFP

I write almost every day either as a novel or just as casting for my many idea for RPs or just stories. Theme and genres for RPs are mostly superheroes (any kind prefer original superheroes but not against DC or Marvel at all), fantasy (original ideas get a cut to the front), urban fantasy, and biopunk and most any soft sci-fi. Romance is a great sub genre. School RPs are fine but put a spin on them. I'm now open to anime games, I'm team Digimon 4 lyfe and Ah! My Goddess still holds up. I have realized I totally suck at large RPs mostly because I just can't keep up with them under any circumstances, this was a suspicion I had for a long time and it has just been confirmed. I am a Christian as well, if that fact alone makes you squirm please don't cross my path, I will merely ignore you. If it doesn't welcome to my mind.

I'm liking your character. And yeah so much interest got my hopes up sigh
ok anybody else still up for this?

All the better since the first and second season have the most police procedural traits. Again Silent Mobius is very awkwardly paced and has SEVERE mood whiplash half-way through but it's enjoyable. There's a reason the anime came and went, it's a very flawed show (and again I'm a fan of it).

Edit: Also 100 Bullets is more X-Files than cyberpunk but it's VERY much an urban grit-based noir
@Mariana Collie I haven't played much police procedurals RP-wise but bio/cyberpunk are my favorite genres of science fiction. You can easily play off Paige (despite her Luddite tendencies).

As for offsite research obviously Blade Runner is the textbook cyberpunk movie. If you want a longer look into character-centric hard science fiction into the near future that has some police work in it I will recommend Orphan Black (notably the first and possibly second season, third season gets kinda off and the fourth and fifth ones are amazing but are nonsensical without context) but it's harder to find due to the fact Netflix isn't streamining it unless you're across the pond.

If you want to lean on the noire aspect of the RP but not science fiction look into Brian Azzarello's 100 Bullets comic book series.

If you're an anime fan try Bubblegum Crisis or it's very, very, very bizarre younger sister Silent Mobius. Bubblegum Crisis is the better show but Silent Mobius is the one I watched and I liked it despite its many flaws.
