Jett looked down at the plush doll versions of himself and a few other people. It took him a few moments to process it, but afterward he burst into laughter. He placed the back of his hand over his mouth as he suppressed the hysterical laughter only slightly, "That is glorious," he replied, wiping a fake tear from his eye, "Chibi overlord...I so want one. You just have to be sure to get my devilish good looks."

Jett then stopped his laughter slowly, looking on as Corban had an internal argument with himself. As that occurred, Jett had begun to prepare himself for battle. His mana was gathering around him, ready for quick use if it was required. However, he was also lost in his thoughts, Corban...Corebong? That name sounds kinda familiar.

He only left his own train of thought upon the appearance of a new face--a digitized woman, standing next to Corban as she bowed like a royal would. He blinked at her name as well, "Ishtalle?" He began to snicker again, trying to hold his laughter between his words, "Well, it doesn't seem like..." His words came out again strained and high, "You ish talle."

He then straightened himself, clearing his throat, "Man, I crack myself up--sorry, my name is Jett," He spread out his arms and moved around slightly, "Like the type of plane, but with an extra T."

He flexed his fists a bit, looking down at them, "It's nice to meet you, Ishtalle and Corban," He nodded once fervently--unlike most of the competitors, Jett was very exuberant, and had an aura of excitement and child-like behavior around him, "Hey, Corban, aren't you like...an element on the Periodic Table?"
Corban likely didn't see it on his first scan around, but on his second, he would notice a figure a few yards away. He said nothing at first, simply staring up at the sky with his hands stuffed in the pocket of his leather jacket, "It's a beautiful day outside..." His words were soft, menacing. His face was shadowed, his expression unidentifiable. He was silent for a few moments, his body completely still.

Then, he turned to face Corban. The goofy grin on his face was illuminated, his hazel eyes glistening against the light that shone down on the both of them. The menacing facade had quickly fallen, especially when one realized that Jett was 5'5 with a leather jacket--he looked like a short guy with an attitude.

Jett chuckled, "Hey, nice entrance," He pointed toward the transportation that had now left him in the barren wasteland, "Heh, how many dress rehearsals did that take?" He stared at the man clad in state-of-the-art armor for a few moments before walking forward a few steps, snickering at his own joke.

"Ah come on, don't give me the silent treatment," He seemed to take no notice of the terrible conditions around him. The burnt buildings, the roads that had been torn asunder. He even stepped over a charred body--he hadn't committed the terrible deed, but Jett decided not to worry about trivial things such as a human life when he had a bigger prize to claim, "I'm just trying to make conversation is all."

He snapped a finger, pointing at Corban now, "Say--what's your name, anyway?"
Give me Corban. I'm feelin' gutsy.
So there's about a million misunderstandings in all this, but a'ight.

Ye know, I gotta wonder what the deal is with this place sometimes. I know some of it's simply getting off on the wrong foot, and that's on me. For that, I do apologize. But I swear I haven't seen folks this twitchy since the Roleplayer's Realm days. Yeebus.

@Shawdus as Enki mentioned, the rest of those yayhoos put me up to splashing Cee because they were all "...huh? o_@" when Enki got rejected, as Enki was specifically built to be a lower-end character that has to grow into his abilities. So they wanted to show folks what usually goes for "2 stronk" in this little circle. That and they simply like the work that went into her dossier. Yeah, it backfired, but what can you do? For the record: yes, I always knew Cee would get tossed, Entropic Order or no. I was hoping there would be more "Lolwut" and less "f'kin scrub" in the process, however.

By 'Street Fighter', I didn't mean completely-dispowered idiocy. I think of Street Fighter as "guys with Hadoukens"; mostly average-guy fighters with a trick or two, but who generally end up falling back on what is apparently termed "Realistic Melee" around here because Realistic Melee seems to be overwhelmingly the preferred game type, and because they don't have the array of abilities they need to otherwise find holes in their opponents' defenses.

I guess I can respect that they put you up to it (I've done stuff like that, too), but I think the hostility that followed was justified based on the fact that you figured there would be some sort of reaction, good or not. Also, just to let you know, Jett (my character) barely ever relies on melee. His powers are used specifically for the reason that I don't particularly like just melee fights; Something that I think you feel as well?

For the record, I haven't even read your sheet. I'm just telling you what I see from an outsider's perspective. I'm just saying that a lot of these people do make powered characters, they just choose not to use them. Although, based on their responses, I'm sure that you can gather that much.

EDIT: Both of my experiences with this site (the former being one with Seed that eventually lead to the entire thing falling apart, the latter now here) have lead to something like this happening. Can we all just agree to be civil with each other, and if we actually want to be here, then be here?

I have a lot of powerful characters, but I read the rules and made sure that mine were on tier with the rest of the fighters here. Jett is actually a pretty powerful guy by most standards, and he's pretty creatively made. I don't understand the assumption of "street fighter" when he has shadow manipulation and telekinesis. You're making these jaded statements like you own the place. If people want to fight with lower powered characters, why can't you let them? Why do you have to put them down just because yours are seemingly more powerful? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a particularly diverse site like this?

You chose to come here. You chose to put your sheet up, and it seems to me based on your posts that you knew for a fact that there would be a bad reaction from the people here. I don't understand the hostility.
Yiss, I'm in.

Bwahahaha.
@Seed

I've read some of his character sheet, and it is obvious that he is certainly a complicated character. The reason I say 9v2 is because the amount of clones grants the possibility that you always could use it, even if it wasn't a larger brawl. I guess that could apply to the fact that I don't know you and it's quite possible you'd pull out all of them in battle.

I could understand wanting to use Tetsue because he's simpler. I just think that it struck a chord given how the battle had been going. Also, I'm not even sure if characters can be switched mid-battle, especially since you mentioned Tetsue dying (Correct me if I'm wrong) in your intro post. Although, I'm assuming that you'd just start the battle over again, so that's just me rambling I guess.

I can also understand being semi-retired, because I am semi-retired as well. This is actually my first "official" RP battle in over a year, haha. But even with all of this, both Terror and Gun are friends of mine. I may not know much about the situation, but coming at them in that way (more specifically Terror) made me really want to step in. I don't think Terror was ever particularly hostile, and even when he was, he was respectful (again, correct me if I'm wrong).

@LeeRoy Let's run away and eat popcorn together <3

@LeeRoy I love the kinds of people that can make something hilarious out of an otherwise tense and angry situation
You're judging a guy who's made a few posts and has expressed dislike for the way this has been going, just because he has his sheet on a website that (admittedly) is normally for things other than legitimate roleplay characters? Then, you proceed to call him a loser? I think that's a bit uncalled for.

More importantly, I think the reason they're most upset about this is that you were the one to suggest Seed and bring him to the table, only to yank him away because you literally said that they (I assume they includes me, although I kinda jumped in here late) weren't worthy.

To be honest, I really feel like this whole thing got off on the wrong foot and then just kept running until it became an absolute trainwreck. I jumped in because Gun told me about the fight, told me it was okay to come in--The status did literally say 'Jump-In'--And so I decided to have a little bit of fun with one of my guys, with Desperado, who consists of friends of mine. But if you want the opinion of an outsider, I think that this should just be scrapped because it isn't gonna get any better.

EDIT: @Seed Sorry, didn't see your previous post cuz there's a lot of posting. I knew that the clan thing was shut down, but I figured that the war still meant people could come in (see above)
