Jalo was never fond of how strict the rules were for them, especially since the government had messed up the housing plans. Would he ever be getting some form of compensation for that? It wasn't something they could express in English, though, so they would have to take the next opportunity they got to say something. "You all are so weird..." Jalo mumbled, getting up and following Medousa.
Jalo looked at Vindle and waved at him, before turning his attention back to Kaito. "I don't know what that is. My home...Does not really have beaches." Their home was practically all marsh and swampland, so it was all a bit confusing to him.
Without thinking, Jalo took the mug when it was offered, and showed regret and slight distress when encouraged to try it. After a few moments of staring at the drink he did, recoiling and handing it back. "A bit too much for me." He commented, shaking his head.
"But how are your classes, what are you doing this week?" Though Jalo asked about Kaito's classes on a weekly basis, it was always interesting to him that people congregated in one building to learn. Keeping them all controlled sounded like a nightmare, though. He had always been good at the maths and sciences, but didn't think he could do it like that.
Looking mildly interested in some of the other food on the table, Jalo looked up as Kaito was drinking coffee. "What..What is that, anyway?"
Jalo rolled his third eye, grinning. "If you would like to go I'll go." He never really did like to be alone, and would just prefer to follow whatever Kaito wanted to do. Earth was a weird place, and he still didn't understand it.
Minan followed the growing crowd out to the Epiplex facility, thinking about who they would put him up against. He preferred the rule against weapons, as he knew many people fought with guns. The blades on his elbows were natural weapons, part of his body, and he wondered if they would allow him to use them. He didn't really see a reason why they wouldn't. He was still good, but fighting on land against natural land dwellers was a detriment to him.
"I think with her we will get kicked out." Jalo commented, finishing the lettuce. "But we can try."
As always, it took Jalo a good fifteen minutes after Kaito knocked on his door to roll out of bed. Another twenty minutes went by before he showed himself downstairs. While it took him time, at least the fur on his head looked pristine.

He had always been timid with tying new foods, and although Kaito cooked a lot, Jalo only took some bread and lettuce as he sat down to eat. Even that was improvement; for the first couple months of living on the planet, he wouldn't eat anything that wasn't native to his home.

"Good Morning, Kai-ii-to. Thank you." The alien's accent was still strong, and they would have trouble with his name for a long time.
Minan had never enjoyed filler in speeches, but was used to hearing it constantly in his political circle. Besides, new recruits always needed that, right? So once the Granjudge finally got onto business, he was almost surprised at the fact that they were all called in for something as trivial as that. Spar training again, yeah? While he had things to do and things he wanted to do before that, he wasn't about to say anything on it. Once Jubiryon was gone and the formalities of her arrival ended, the lieutenant stood up, stretching his arms over his head and glancing at some of the new recruits. Maybe he would get to know them better during spar training.
