Yeah, that's true. So should I edit my thing and have Jenna just force him to take the money then get out of there so Cypher and Vic can do their thing or what?
Well she'd only be gone about a minute or 2 and then Vic can go...I dunno...

Feneya awoke and smiled when she saw the cooked elk in front of her. She winced as she stretched her wing and shoulder to see how much they had healed. Fortunately, they were healing excellently, the dart wasn't poisoned, and Feneya estimated she should be able to fly by nightfall. She turned to Dovah and nodded to him.

"Please eat, Dovah." She took a bite of the elk and prummed as the savory taste washed down her throat. She turned to Istaria and the dragon and raised her eyebrow "I don't think you told me your name, Dragon. What is it?" While she waited for his answer Feneya gently nudged the wimborne awake and pointed at the food.
Hessta had been listening with a bored expression but as soon as Six said "Gortex" he straightened up and listened very closely, studying Six's mannerisms and speech to gauge him better. Six finished and Hessta unfolded his arms, slithering only slightly closer to Six as he spoke.

"You're after Gortex?" He glared for a moment as he considered telling Six to back off and the only person that was going to hunt down Gortex was him but he stopped himself. Hessta coldly calculated whether joining Six would be beneficial or inhibiting, but after a second he realized even he wasn't going to be able to take down Gortex on his own. He sighed and smirked maliciously "Well then, Agent Six, I think an agreement between us can be made."

He slithered a little closer "I will join this 'team' of yours but I do have a few conditions that would be...Beneficial to everyone involved if they were acknowledged and respected." He glared and straightened up as he towered over Six "I am my own master, and I expect to be treated as such. I expect my privacy to be respected by everyone I will be dealing with. But most importantly," Hessta's glare grew colder and he dropped his voice as his accent came through "When we find Gortexss, he. Iss. Mine."

Hessta backed up to his own ship and softened his expression, smiling coldly but civilly at Six. He extended his hand towards Six and raised his eyebrow "Do we have a deal?"
Jenna once again considered to punch him in the face when he clapped his hands but she stayed in control. She leaned back slightly and waited as he looked out at the streets.

After a second he turned back to her "Not that it's your business or anything, but I need to pay a man $1,000 dollars for fixing me up after last night," Jenna raised her eyebrow and maintained a harsh demeanor but internally she felt sorry for him. "Or, someone I care about is going to be in some... trouble." Despite his brash personality and rudeness, there was something about the way he spoke that made Jenna actually want to help him. She knew the lengths people would go to for the sake of someone they care about and was beginning to understand his motives.

Of course, her stubbornness was rearing its head again and she was considering going home and forgetting about him, but she had seen him risk his life for the same reason that she had risked hers. After a moment of internal debate she sighed and shook her head. She pointed to the ground as she checked to make sure nobody was looking. "Wait here."

Within seconds she was back at the warehouse and she quickly ran to her room. Jenna unscrewed a panel in the wall behind the boiler and took out a wad of bills and a few coins before she teleported back to the alley, praying that nobody besides the bird guy saw her. Luckily for her, nobody did. She added the money she got from Baxter to the pile and held it out to him. She sighed again and spoke with a slight edge in her voice.

"This is 154 dollars and 92 cents. Take it." She shoved the money into his hand and teleported back to the warehouse before he could react.

Finally the truth of her actions hit her and her entire body sagged as she ran a hand through her hair. What now?
I think it'll be fine, it'll give Vic more of a reason to lay low and his mob guys might not be happy, so there's that. Also if the LoA start doing some really bad stuff the cops might not focus on Vic.
Whyyyy? :(
Hessta crossed his bulky arms as "Agent Six" walked into the area between their ships. He raised his eyebrow and internally rolled his eyes as Six kept his hand over the pistol at his side. Although to be fair, Hessta could reach both his scimitars in the blink of an eye from where he was standing. He looked the man over a few times and raised his eyebrow as he spoke with a stern voice, masking his accent.

"I am a mercenary. This means I will do almost anything if the price is right. Unfortunately I'm afraid I have some personal business to attend to before I can take on any new assignments, Agent Six." He shrugged slightly as his glare grew a touch stronger "But I do have a few minutes to spare, if you would tell me a little more about this mission, and exactly what kind of 'agent' you are."
Awesome! Sorry about that Rumiko
Jenna's eyes narrowed and she took a single step back in a defensive stance. "Look, I'm not some 'little girl' you need to defend. Isaac's an ass but I didn't ask you to beat the crap out of him, I can do that myself. " She pointed at his stick "You could have killed him with that!" She crossed her arms and looked him over, maintaining a cold glare but there was a hint of compassion and sympathy in her eyes once she saw his injuries.

Jenna raised an eyebrow "How much money do these 'dangerous people' want from you?" She wanted to ask why they wanted money from a vigilante, but she could tell this guy would never tell her. A part of her was considering punching him for almost robbing the diner but another equal part was against it because he didn't.
