Sorry for the delay, guys. @CallaLily and I are trying to work out the details of the fight.
Mason had been awake since 5:00. He'd woken up with a terrible headache, and had occupied himself with his tablet. When 7:00 came, he got up to prepare for the day's classes. He slid on the uniform shirt, once again uncomfortable with it's tightness. He slid into the shorts, and found the fabric was cold after sitting through the night. The feeling sent a chill down his leg, which caused his calf muscles to stiffen.

The young man slowly pulled his duffel bag from under his bed, still having not unloaded it's contents into the dresser. He removed a pair of sleek, black running shoes, and slid them on his feet. He rarely wore the shoes, as he proffered boots any day. However, he assumed they would be running a good bit today, so he opted for the more athletic choice.

He left his room, not bothering to check on Chess. Starting down the hallway, Mason walked with long strides. He entered the Weapons rooming and saw the other recruits there - but they still lacked many others. He also saw that the instructor wasn't there. He spotted Lilith - the only person he'd spoken to beside Estella and Chess. He stood a couple feet from her, silently waiting for something to happen.

Mason shook Lilith's hand, careful not to squeeze too hard and break her hand or something. Sometimes, he forgot that he was as strong as he was and screwed up. She had soft skin, which he assumed to be common of Principle kids. As opposed to hers, his own hands were tough and leathery from years of work and heavy lifting.

He released a quiet laugh at her comment on his name. "Uh, yeah... like the jar." He said, smiling ever so slightly. His eyebrows went up when she mentioned Estella. "Oh, yeah I'm new. Came today like everyone else." At the comment on his height, Mason shrugged. "Just turned 18 a few days ago. Not sure where the height came from, though. My parents aren't staggeringly tall."

He glanced momentarily at Estella, who seemed uneager to join the talk. "Pardon my manners," He turned in his seat to face her - finding himself having look slightly downwards once again. "It's nice to meet you, Estella."
Mason had come to the facility, expecting to find people he didn't like. The moment he stepped out of the limo, he spotted a select few. When he entered the Cafeteria, however, he expected the principle girls to eye him, disgusted, or possibly reprimand him from his snobby habits. He did not expect for either of them to be nice to him. When the girl beside him smiled shyly, he found himself staring dumbly. When the second girl spoke to him, he decided that he'd have no privacy during this dinner. Might as well make the most of it...

He picked up the napkin and sheepishly wiped his mouth clean. "Uh... Hi." He said. He glanced at her, Lilith apparently, and then to the girl named Estella, who he couldn't help but notice was pretty much gorgeous (Though her friend wasn't ugly, either). "I'm good... I guess. Uh, yeah.. Speech was great.." When she commented about his food, he glanced down at his plate. "Oh... Yeah, the food's pretty good..." He answered, almost embarrassed. He sat back in his chair, fumbling with the seams of his shirt, which were uncomfortably tight on his arm muscles.

This was quite odd, he thought... He felt a strange sensation in his stomach as he sat in a rather awkward momentary silence. He still maintained a hard-set jaw and stiff posture. He shifted his legs under the table, though they were slightly cramped in the small space meant for people who were not 6'6. This time, he took the initiative, and reached a large hand over the table to shake Lilith's hand; he almost knocked down a cup in the process.

"I'm Mason - Till. Nice to meet you." He said, more confident in his words this time.

Mason was glad when the announcement rang and called the recruits for dinner in the cafeteria. He assumed his normal process of pushing through the hallways and nearly ran over a couple people on the way. He entered the cafeteria and looked around, his eyes searching for an empty seat.

His eyes landed on the closest seat, about a foot from a group of girl, one of whom he instantly pinned as a Principle girl(@karamonnom). He sat beside the girl, not speaking or making eye contact. He did his best to ignore the obnoxiously loud recruits in the room, but he found himself becoming irritated by the volume. When the speech came, he watched the man, Nau Kent, intently.

He seemed confident, but the façade seemed to be cover some kind of stress. When the servers brought the food out, Mason filled his plate and began eating rather wolfishly. He was sure that his table manners were no where close to adequate for the principle recruits, but if they were paying him any attention, he didn't notice or care

Mason listened as Chess spoke, almost flinching at the guess of his home-grid. Was he making a statement? Did Mason just dress like a farmboy? "Uh... yeah, Till..." He said. He shrugged at the second comment. "I mean... we're farmers... I know plenty of people who grow things besides crops, if you know what I mean..."

He shifted on either feet. "So... see you at dinner?" He guessed. He waved his hand in farewell and let the door close between the two of them. He pressed his palm to his forehead - slick job on the greetings. He turned and looked around his room. His eyes wandered to the uniform that was still folded on the bed. He quickly changed into the shorts, shirt and hood. He left the hood and mask hanging on his neck... it seemed kind of weird to wear it...

He noticed his pants looked like someone had simply spray painted his thighs navy blue... He opted to open his oversized duffle bag and produced a pair of fitting, black cargo pants. He slid the pants over the shorts and tucked the ankles into his black boots. Lacing them comfortably, he stood fully and felt a little more comfortable. He didn't understand why the uniform was so... tight. He cracked his neck, sat down, and occupied himself with his thoughts before dinner came.
Mason ended up looking down - literally - at the boy on the other side of the door. He was small and short, so Mason didn't really have to size him up, threat-wise. He stepped back, so he could comfortably look at the guy. "Uh chester?" He repeated, dumbly. Great first impression, idiot... He thought. "Hi... I'm Mason..." He said, shifting from either foot. He looked at the younger guy expectantly. "Well... I guess we're neighbors... Nice to meet you..." He stuck out a hand for the guy to shake. He almost took it back. Did other grids shake hands? Did anyone still shake hands at all? He sighed through his nose. Note to self... You suck at greetings...

((Sorry for the late entry! Couldn't get to a computer last night *Sadness*))

Mason's ride to the facility was rather awkward. The driver, who was obviously new at his job, tried to make petty conversation, but was ignored by his rather introverted passenger. At this point, he would've rather walked all the way from Till. He spread his large hands and rubbed out the wrinkles in his dark blue jeans. He watched his own reflection in the driver's mirror, glancing from his recently cut hair to his freshly shaven face.

His eyes drifted from his own self to the tall building ahead of the limousine, which could've been the biggest building he'd ever seen in his life. Looking upon it, he felt slightly intimidated - and Mason rarely was intimidated. He looked around as the Limo pulled to a halt. He saw other teens crowding the steps of the facility, and he almost began to regret not running and bailing from the recruiters.

As he opened the door the vehicle, the driver said goodbye. Mason stepped out, accidentally hitting his head on the roof. He swore, but stood his full six and a half feet. The area was warmer than he thought it would be, so he unzipped his leather jacket. He entered the crowd, and became slightly aware of a set of eyes on him. He turned to see a boy he recognized from Till - Steril... Carol... Sterah - he gave up, unable to figure out the guy's name.

When the asian man spoke, Mason's eyes snapped to attention. He looked at him with studying eyes. He looked like a confident man, and he could probably take down anyone in the yard - Mason included. He'd learned that enough skill could take down biggest of men. As the man dismissed the recruits, the bustle of teens shifted inside. Mason parted the crowd in front of him, making his way towards the front of the crowd.

When he reached his room, he set his bags down beside the bed. He took a moment and glanced at the positioning of his bed. Unsatisfied, he grabbed it by the base and dragged it with little effort across the floor to the other corner of the room, so that he could lay down with full view of the room. He sighed and looked at the door that opened to the other room. He'd probably have to meet his roommate sooner or later.... He went and knocked on the door, waiting for an answer.
