Bio

So, hello all, I'm Shi. I've been participating in play-by-post roleplays for the past 8 years, though I did just come back from a break. If I'm working with you and go silent for more than a week without any explanation or heads up please send me a message and call me out on it. (Check my status if this happens. I leave most of these warnings there now.) I honestly just lose the motivation to write a lot...or forget to give a warning and then feel super guilty and put off replying longer.

On a better note; I just recently completed college and my schedule has opened up for the first time in years. Unlike before I am no longer balancing school, work, and life.

That is all...

"My life is my own, its secrets are mine,
I keep my world to myself, so don't cross the line,
But if fiction is what you are looking for, then I will be there,
A pen in my hand and a story to share.

That is what I am here for, to create stories galore,
Epics of heroes, battles of gore,
Lives unheard of, worlds not yet explored,
I am here to write, to no longer be bored."

Alexandra smiled at the cute being nestled in her arms before turning to them all. Her attention turned to the doorway, a determined look in her eye. She had no idea what awaited them yet fear was far from her mind. “Alright, time to get out of here.” She says confidently. With that she clambered up the steps carefully, moving past Daniel, and peeking her head out of the door. Her aqua gaze was trained on the end of the hall, a sinking feeling of dread creeping down her spine. Something wasn’t right, yet she couldn’t see anything potentially dangerous about the empty hallway.

There was something though, an object her eyes were practically glued to, a framed painting at the end of the hallway. It was a large portrait but from this distance she couldn’t tell what it was of. Suddenly however she felt herself leaving the sanctuary of the basement and moving in its direction, her curiosity taking over and leading her down the hall like it was some sort of magnet.

When she reached it however, she froze. Before her was a portrait of the seven of them, but something was odd about how they stood. She couldn’t see their faces and a part of her was glad that their gaze was turned elsewhere. With every ounce of strength she could muster she looked away, looking down the hallway to the left. There wasn’t one to the right but what she saw looked like a dead end and there seemed to be someone down at the other end. Something about it though, the way the figure moved when she did reminded her of a mirror but much more sinister. That was it, she forced herself to glance back before her and when she did she almost screamed. The faces were now looking out at her with glossy eyes and no emotion on their painted faces. It had moved.
By the time Lydia reached where the sound had come from her ears were back to their normal shape. She was expecting to find an angry dragon ripping some poor soul to pieces before they could get to the ‘safe zone’. Instead she found a small group of people she didn’t recognize. They were probably just new students but something about them made her doubt that. “Ok, who thought it was a good idea to make Raziel angry. He’s a dragon, not the school bully.” She said loudly, meaning to get their attention. Her eyes looked more worried and hurt than angry however. She wasn’t one to get angry, but she didn’t like people who hurt other’s in any way. “And… who are all of you? I haven’t seen you around before.” She questions.
*Evil cackling*
I can't wait to see what they do when faced with a challenge.
Alexandra hugged the bear close for a second more, examining her companions for a few seconds. Then with a single nod she set the poor creature down by her side. “I’m Alexandra, Alexandra Valentino, but you can all call me Alex and I am a shapeshifter. A creature who can take other’s forms, but unlike my kin I can copy a being down the personality and abilities that make them who they are.” She said, a smirk on her lips. “Like this.” She adds, her voice suddenly deeper. It almost matched Daniel’s perfectly but even weirder was the fact that she had already shifted into the pyro’s form. Taking a slight step back away from everyone she willed herself to conjure a spark on the tips of her fingers before extinguishing it and slowly melting back into the white haired girl from before.

Finished with her little introduction she picked up the bear once more, facing him out towards everyone but keeping a protective grip on him nonetheless. The woman was completely unaware of the Mansion’s plans for them all. Not knowing that this house had a mind of its own and a goal of keeping them trapped here forever. For now she stood calmly in the basement, her mind set on escaping and hopefully saving the others trapped here with her. There had to be a way out right, or were they just being toyed with for The Collector’s amusement?
It's been quiet the past two days. Is everyone stuck or busy or something?
Alexandra had been listening to everyone try to figure out what they should do when she noticed the little teddy bear move on the floor. Until then she hadn’t even paid it much attention but now that it appeared to be trembling her practically melted. In seconds she had rushed over and plucked the fuzzy being off the floor, hugging him tightly like a child would do. “Aww, poor thing is terrified.” She cooed, hugging it protectively against her chest. The shape-shifter had a slight pout on her lip as she held the bear, her eyes looking at it with a bit of worry mixed in her usually cheerful aqua eyes. “Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure no one here wants to hurt you, and if they try I’ll protect you ok?” she says, smiling brightly down at the plush creature wrapped in her arms.

Her gaze shifted upwards for a moment, looking towards Daniel. “Maybe we should introduce ourselves, we have no idea what we’re about to face and knowing a bit about everyone might make it easier to work together and get out of this place.” She said, gaining her composure yet still hugging the bear.
I'm so sorry rocketrobie but I might just make Alexandra pick up Mr. T and hug him.
She's not the most stable individual and I think it would be funny to see how he reacts to being hugged by a strange person. I just felt I should give you a fair warning.
Alexandra let out a deep chuckle, reveling in the warmth of her new form. “My apologies, I guess I should change back though.” She replied. With that being said her form shrunk back down to the young woman she considered her true form. The scales disappeared and her bones snapped back into the human like frame once again. “I guess this is a little less intimidating, seeing as that young man over there seems to be having some sort of panic attack.” She adds, stretching her arms to make sure the change went correctly. Her eyes were locked on a boy with bright red hair and with a look of concern she crossed the space between them, stopping beside him cautiously. “Calm down, alright.” She says comfortingly before swiveling to face the rest of the group.

She watched with interest as Daniel demonstrated the effects of using brute force as a means of escape. “Well then, there has to be another way but we can’t figure that out if we stay down here.” She replies, looking at the door up out of the basement again. It might be unlocked, then they’d be free to finding a way out of this crazed man’s house. “We just have to figure out what we’re doing with those still unconscious. Do we carry them with us or try waking them?” she wonders aloud, actually talking to herself but it sounded like it was addressing everyone.
