Shade, still oblivious to the robot behind her, jumped onto the robot before her. Her hands quickly slashed at the wires as it flailed its arms in an attempt to get the girl off its shoulders. The shard made contact with the frail little things running the metal man, slicing them cleanly apart. With a shudder the bot collapsed, the thin girl flipping off its shoulders before it landed and landing in a crouch on her feet. It was then she noticed the other robot, the one whose arm was glowing brighter. In a panic the girl ducked, only for nothing to happen.
Shade stood back straight, looking over at it confused. The ray had malfunctioned. Something had been lodged in the beam’s pathway. Her eyes flitted over to the mystery man again. “You keep saving my life today don’t you?” she joked before approaching the malfunctioning bot. It flailed, backing up only to trip over one of its companions and fall over.
“Alright, who sent you and what purpose do they have?” she asked, her eyes becoming darker. It was as if her personality switched over, something that hadn’t happened in a long time. In seconds she had her boots clad foot on top of its throat, keeping it down forcefully since it didn’t need to breathe in the first place. “I’m not joking! Who’s behind this Tin-man!!” she yells, her voice suddenly menacing and cruel.
In response a flickering light began to flicker across its face, almost like a television screen. It wasn’t just this one though, it was all of the robots, or at least the still functioning ones. A man’s face appeared on it, though it was hidden by a mask, the mask however didn’t mask the chilling grin on his face.
