Nicoli V.S The Guardian

Nicoli watched with all of his focus as the Guardian reacted to his attacks. It was a rather impressive display of agility and hand eye coordination. Tossing up his own weapons, catching the daggers, leaping then throwing his weapons back at him. Yes, very impressive. Perhaps too complicated or Nicoli. But then again, he was like his father and was willing to dispose of his tools if it provided him an advantage.

At only about seven feet away from his opponent, the need that Guardian felt to leap incredibly high from a standing jump Nicoli would never know. But what he did know was an advantage when he saw one. He released his chain whip as it flew under Guardian, the momentum carrying it to slide over the edge of the lip and into the two feet of water around its edge.

Nicoli dove forward under the two daggers that were thrown at him, his body tucking into a roll that carried him under his opponent as well. Even as he was coming up he spun to his right and withdrew his long sword from his left hip, slashing at the back of his opponents leg while he was still in the air, the slash angled upward from left to right so that even if the Guardian managed to tuck his legs in he would only marginally delay the powerful slash that would meet the man on his descent.

Arena Battlegrounds 2.0

Hey,

I want an arena, I have it in mind, but can't find a picture to match.

I'm looking for something with platforms, ropes, maybe some pits. Something that employs the use of movement and still in an enclosed area.

If anyone could find a picture to match that'd be awesome. I'll keep looking as well.

In the Darkness of the Night

The impact jarred Nicoli, only his back against the wall save him from falling over. The down side was that the brick wall was there to keep him from falling over. The air was blasted out of his lungs and his grip fell from the long sword, it was impossible to hold onto with his own damaged hand. This was brutal, down to a physical match where Nicoli knew he was outclassed. Still, even with his opponents physical superiority Nicoli wasn't yet ready to admit defeat.

The creatures vice like grip found purchase on the opposite side of Nicoli's head, effectively making it so that he couldn't dodge or evade those dangerous fangs. Yet, Nicoli did not panic. His right arm came up, the metal gauntlet covering his forearm being used as a barrier, it was all he could do to keep those fangs away. His left hand shot across and without a whimper pulled the dagger that had stuck there a moment ago. With all his strength he jabbed that dagger upwards, once again using what strength he had, but mainly the momentum of his opponents head coming down to bite on his throat, and effectively try to use the blind spot of directly below his opponents muzzle against him.

If that weren't enough Nicoli twisted his body and dropped to his knees, as his opponent was still in the air, albeit, it was only slightly, he didn't have much say in which way Nicoli spun himself. The spin would be enough to turn him in the way of that dangerous Rune Blade that his skeleton summon was now swinging at him. Nicoli knew he couldn't beat Daxius in his current state like this, so perhaps Daxius could defeat himself?

He thrust the weapon forward in an attempt to spear the Monk in the belly. He held Balance in such a way that the slashing edges pointed both left and right, so in the event that his foe was to dodge left or right, he would follow his motion and disembowel him with a devastating slash to the gut.

Hey, sorry for the late response. Can you give me some clarification please?

As I am reading it, you thrust the weapon forward, then state you are holding it left and right. I am assuming your character is turned so half his body is facing me? That way he could still thrust and hold the weapon to the left and right of his body?

Or, did you thrust then bring the weapon back to hold it so both ends were left and right?

Or... am I way off?

Since this is a non-ranked match I'm sure we can work something out to simply end it.

Nicoli V.S The Guardian

It took but a snap of his wrist and rotating his arm to bring the chain back and send it into more continuous figure eight spins. An amused smile played across his sharp angled facial features, dead blue eye watching with cruel amusement. He made no rush as he grabbed another two throwing daggers, presenting them at eye level, his head cocked to the side.

This time when he threw his two daggers he threw the first swinging his arm vertically, than launched the second one underhand. Like the ones thrown a moment before these were aimed at the his opponents right side, exact same locations as before. The only difference was that this time as the second dagger was release Nicoli took a large step forward and to the right and swung the chain out.

If Guardian attempted the exact same maneuver he would find that the ten foot chain had more than enough reach to strike his ankle. What's more is that Nicoli kept attacking from the same side, eventually he would force Guardian the remaining distance into the two feet of water that wrapped around their small battle ground.
