Drifting within his dreams, Wolfric remembered his old life, the life that was ripped from him. He remembered his free life and his adventures, his first love and his first heartbreak, he remembered his time with his father teaching him all about their history. He also remembered his defeat and his shame, how he let his people down and his treacherous sister that sold her entire people. It seemed that treason was not meant only for humans, it seemed that living for thousands of years doesn't bestow more wisdom than what the humans possess. Physical torment wasn't the hard part for him, but this eternal torment of betrayal and failure, of hate and ungratefulness, that no cry or howl would begin to express. He would've taken his own life by now, but surrender was something that wasn't in his blood, and not something that was taught to him by his father.
Strange was the sound that awoke Wolfric, the sound of heels pounding the floor, no woman has ever set a foot inside the dungeons. But the scent even though he couldn't tell exactly because of his dull senses, was oddly familiar. The moon had disappeared by the clouds, hiding Wolfric's face in the darkness of the backend of room, yet the torches outside his dungeon kept light in the hallway, and slightly to his cell. He heard a woman's voice ordering the guard to go back to his station, he wondered for whom did she come? She stopped at his looking at him. Sudden anger was brought from his inside as he recognized her from the scent, she was the daughter of the vampire king, nevertheless he couldn't do anything about it, so he calmed down "Why? Did you come here to admire the wounded wolf? Or just to admire your father's prize? Daughter of the vampire king. Or do you have some sadistic needs like those guards and want to indulge them?" Barley talking yet he laughed at his last question, since it was clearly with bad intent, he coughed even more but he felt it was worth it. Still he wondered about her reason for coming here, but he sensed that it wouldn't be a pleasant one for she is the enemy...
