The Origin: A War Resumed (Arc One; Completed)

Magnificent was the capitol it's architecture was unique, and witnessing its beauty was more of what the brothers imagined, and it was by far better than the snowy mountains that they inhabited for long. Seraph went through the city guiding the amazed brothers through the streets to his estate "Welcome to my home, make yourselves comfortable till I get you our agreed payment." A maid came and took their ragged cloaks "Master Setaph ordered me to get you a pair of new cloaks" Azai was happy with the new cloak, it was black decorated with gold on the sides and the hood that was pointed from the front, it looked quite elegant. Chozai on the other hand didn't care much for it, his mind was concerned about Lily who was silent the whole road with no emotions or reaction to anything "Can you also bring new cloths for the girl?" Chozai told the maid with a serious tone, the maid took Lily with her to clean her and dress her. Azai turned to his brother concerned about him "Brother it wasn't your fault. You did everything you could and no one can say otherwise, but do you really think that you can take her with us? Because I don't think it's safe for her nor a good life for a child.." Chozai interrupted his brother with a higher tone "I know but I gave her my word. And I will let justice reign upon the H'kelan army. No decent army would kill women, children and the elders, so brother please I need your support with this." Azai knew that look in Chozai's eyes and he knew that he would never fail on this promise "Alright brother, I will help any way I can" As they were talking the maid brought back Lily cleaned and dressed with fine clothes, and Seraph came with the money "You look wonderful child..Now here's your payment with an add to it, you did a very fine job much better than what I expected, even though we had our differences but please accept my friendship. And you can stay here today if you want to." Chozai turned to Seraph "It's kind of you, but we have still work to do here so we will be going." The brothers headed for the city.

They searched the city for a decent inn to rent a room, they couldn't be going inside taverns with Lily alongside them. They entered what looked like a good inn, and could already notice that there weren't any news about the H'kelean army that attacked, could it be that no one survived the attacks? Chozai felt the need that he should alert some officials about the matter yet he didn't know anything about the city or how it functions, Azai was renting the renting the room when he heard some people talking about the queen who was in the city the whole day. The brothers carried their bags and headed for the room "Alright Lily just stay in the room till we get back, we will do our best to be back early with dinner" Azai went hunting for jobs in taverns while Chozai was walking the streets thinking what to do with Lily and thinking about the coming war...

Wolfric wasn't interested in the kings talk of the same politics he heard many times in previous dinners, what was ironic to Wolfric is that he could point out where the king's policies fails to benefit him and how he could improve it and actually have the strongest kingdom because he possessed the needed resources. He was more interested in the tense that was building little by little across the table, he couldn't hear the conversation well but he could see the reactions of the group and it seemed that Adria was insulting her brother and his date the princess. The servants distracted him by throwing a piece of meat to Wolfric to get him busy with something instead of just staring at everybody and giving them an uneasy feeling, and to keep his mouth busy with something other than talking back to the king and his guests, Wolfric usually didn't eat it as a sign of rebel but he decided to eat this time to keep himself busy, he couldn't pay much attention to what was happening at the other end, till he heard Adria's voice insulting her brother, he was a bit surprised as he was still munching on his meat and stopped there just watching Adria with a wide surprised look on his face, he was barely able to hold himself from commenting something funny, but he didn't want to raise the tension in the air.

He couldn't help but to feel a bit excited by the family drama, breaking the illusion of the perfect family yet he was feeling bad for Adria that she couldn't feel happy being surrounded by her family. Adria sat down and glanced at Wolfric as he resumed eating wanting to give Adria a thumb up but he didn't want to raise suspicion. A servant came in carrying something wrapped, and as the king started talking about a gift of some sort Wolfric got interested until the gift was unwrapped revealing his sword, Starfang, a relic of the werewolf culture inherited by every alpha. Many myths involving its origins was told through history but no proof of them was ever found but one thing for sure is that it's metal was not of this earth and had extraordinary properties. Wolfric knew that it was in the possession of the king and he didn't feel bad about it since he defeated him and won it, but to give it away for such reason was unacceptable.

"You ungrateful bastard! How can you give away such a sword!? Do you even know how valuable it is? And for what? Because your son is marrying his daughter, that spoiled brat you call a son can not do anything on his own not even come up with a gift of his own, so you go and solve his problem. Tell me will you even go to bed with her instead of him too!? Do you remember how strong that sword was? It broke through you'r sword, shield and even your armor in one strike. I could bear all your stupid politics, and bad parenting. But this is the last straw" Wolfric was furious he couldn't help but to shout at the king and not caring what will happen next. The guards whipped him and stroke the whip around his neck choking him so he couldn't speak anymore, Wolfric resisted all he could but then fell on his knees barely awake. The guards unleashed him as the prince slammed the table in anger, something he has never done before, he has never replied to Wolfric it was only his father who did this but the insults he was listening to couldn't allow him stay calm "That's it father. How can you allow him to live any longer after hearing such insults to me. Father allow me to end his miserable life." The king sighed in anger not knowing what to say because he knew deep down that Wolfric was right but he couldn't admit it, and he wanted to shut his son while maintaining some dignity of his own "If you really want to end his life, how about you end it while proving him wrong. How about you face him in combat and you can end his life if you win... But if you lose, I will not give the sword instead you will have to bring a gift of your own. I doubt he will be of any challenge since he's wounded and weakened" The prince startled for a bit, but was interrupted by a coughing Wolfric "I do not even want fight such a spoiled kid.. Even if he used dirty methods.. I will still win.." everyone was still silent while the three were talking and all was staring at the prince awaiting his answer.

Yeah the problem of modern society we can't live without the Internet, but it's still good to be able to find a way to not rely completely on it for entertainment x) but I know what you mean the first couple days I was bored out of my mind

Hmm... Yeah I should, but I don't think it would be good to do it now since she is still feeling down, I need to cheer her up somehow first
