Name: Bass.EXE
Age: ??
Gender: Male
Appearance: God of Destruction
Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon
Universe of Origin: Megaman Battle Network

Personality: Bass carries a unsettling contempt for humans that even carries over to human-like beings, but rarely acts on it because of being unable to understand or find the reason for this hatred in the first place, and deciding that surrendering to a base emotion like this would only paint himself as an idiot not only in the eyes of others but also himself. Even worse, it could get him killed, now that he was supposedly something similar to flesh and bone. To put his mind off it, he turns to the only things that he can be said to love; combat and destruction. For this reason and his preference to be left alone, he spends most of his free time by himself in the training areas in Yggdrasil, not needing to eat or sleep. He doesn't believe in morals, but his own pride brings about a set of standards that stop him from carrying out truly devilish deeds, though this has been overridden by his desire to survive more than once before. Only interested in opponents as strong or even stronger than him, he doesn't raise a hand against the weaker ones, provided they don't push him too far. Despite a love for direct combat, Bass is willing to trouble himself with the objectives at hand, knowing it's an efficient way to send the enemies straight after him. He may seem dedicated, but the truth is he has abandoned loyalty long ago, and wouldn't think twice about turning his back on the UMMA if not for the promise of powerful opponents. His uncertain, alienating state of existence has made him careful and analytical, and while Bass is composed, he is still capable of aggression when provoked, though time spent amongst the other agents of the UMMA has made him somewhat more tolerant to other people, and ever since his discovery of the greater scale of the world, he seems to have become less prone to blowing annoying people up.

Abilities/Weapons: Bass possesses multiple abilities such as levitation, and an aura that protects him from weak to moderate attacks. His cloak also shields him from attacks, but for stronger attacks he's forced to block by hand. Having assimilated numerous opponents in his life time, he has gained the powers of beings like Alpha, as well as Dark Power. His basic attacks consists of a destructive blast generated from the hands, transforming his arms into cannons for rapid-fire energy shots, and an arm blade made of Dark Energy. One of his most powerful attacks is the Gospel Power; Vanishing World.

Backstory: Bass.EXE, designated 'Bass' or mistakenly and only recently, 'Bach', was a sentient life-form constructed from pure data by humans, a 'program' called a 'NetNavi'. NetNavi possessed the ability to exist inside, and affect the 'net', the electronic network that linked the whole world together, allowing them to complete tasks such as abnormality exterminations or data extractions, making them a vital and useful component of the world. The past generation of NetNavis had been limited to working alongside human partners, but his creators intended for him to be among the first of a new generation of them that would not require these human 'operators'. For this, Bass was installed with a special "Get Ability" program that allowed him to assimilate the abilities of deleted viruses and NetNavis. When a string of error-plagued incidents began to surface all across the net, Bass was the first to be blamed because of his nature, and he was arranged to be deleted by an elite force of NetNavis. Surviving by a thread, Bass recuperated from the damage done to him by the sent NetNavis as well as from numerous viruses afterwards in the recesses of the net, assimilating data from the defeated NetNavis and the deleted viruses. He continued to assimilate more data, not only for the sake of revitalizing himself, but also to grow stronger. Over time, he became one of, if not the most powerful NetNavi in the world. However, he would go on to encounter an adversary unlike nothing he's met before, and no matter how powerful he grew, the blue NetNavi surpassed him in power every time.

Most recently, after having been defeated once more, Bass lost the last remnants of a cyber beast's data that he'd absorbed just for the sake of defeating this opponent, and he stumbled into the furthermost recesses of the Undernet. He soon falls over from the strain of having used, and subsequently losing, the cyber beast's power. When he awakened, he was met with a distinctly human-like being, that introduced himself as an agent from something called the Unified Multiversal Moderation Agency. Noting that Bass' 'homeworld' had yet to have an agent, and that the 'blue bomber' seemed to have his own hands full, the being told Bass that he was currently aboard a multiversal vessel headed for the agency's base of operations, where he'll be asked to join. Bass laughed at the idea, saying that he's never heard of a God of Destruction that protects. However, having come this far (and having been healed from his previous injuries), Bass decided he would entertain the being, and see for himself how the multiverse was like. Despite it only being a fleeting desire at the time, Bass did believe that he could find worthy opponents where he was going. And shortly after, he was proven right when some... thing from another group called the 'Shadow Eternity' attacked the vessel and killed the UMMA agent that brought him aboard. He himself survived and made it to Yggdrasil. Even though the UMMA didn't suit his ideals, he believed that the strongest opponents are those unbound by something like morality, and thus decided that Shadow Eternity provided the best opponents for him to fight and destroy. Because of this, he accepted the offer to join the UMMA.

Faction: UMMA
But the beef's there - he's crazy. Or at least, he's going crazy.

I'm actually trying a lot of things with Seth and that personality section, like using the weird kind of prose you'd see on the TYPE-MOON wiki, for the purpose of making him not just a character, but also a sort of meta-commentary on how people try so hard to make 'unique' and 'complex' characters these days. But of course, I couldn't settle for making a shallow character while I'm at it, so perhaps I can't say that this is completely true. Perhaps I tried too hard myself. Though your observation is fair - if you require it, I'll whittle down the personality. To be honest, not all of it is there, since he actually dabbles in politics, in a way. He has connections in the Zenterr military, men and women who've looked past simple sentiments, and you can't exactly call him a simple, mindless soldier. But at the same time he's not not manipulable, with the state of mind he's at.

As for Altair, it's the halberd seen in the picture. I wanted to include a name, but didn't know how to put it alongside a general classification of the weapon, sorry.
Name: Seth Rainier
Age: 35
Appearance: Knight of the Crimson Eagle
Birthplace: Sord
Personality: Driven to the belief that no one person was more special than the rest, Seth's first clear trait is a complete and utter disregard for a somebody else's social standing compared to his own. No matter the receiver, he will tell it the person as he sees fit. Seth follows his own values of right and wrong. If something doesn't go over well with him, he would loudly proclaim it and act against it if need be. The only time this has been different is if it happens to be about the orders of a superior, or the superior himself. Seth believes in a twisted perception of discipline, and to him no other bond matters but the bond in service - even if that bond is devoid of respect or goodwill, and he feels his superiors are trash. This is why despite a history of numerous accounts of insubordination, with the scars to serve as evidence, he still remains with the military. In his mind, he needs to be loyal to something, and act in place to it. Not only to 'preserve peace', but also to further his own ends. For the sake of duty, he is willing to adopt any means to ensure he can accomplish a given task, even if they are unconventional or require greater effort.

Seth normally is silent and refrains from speaking unless necessary or is spoken to. As mentioned before, Seth has an unimpressed outlook on others, and this has carried over somewhat to a fearlessness that allows him to keep a level head in most situations. He believes that he isn't incapable of a feat anyone else could accomplish, but this does not stem from pride. Using as much brains as he does his brawn, Seth knows that even if he can do something, it doesn't mean he should. Outside of that, he keeps his emotions bottled up almost all the time, but will occasionally let out sardonic wit accompanied by an even rarer small, mocking smile. Because of his personality and a lack of effort on his part, it has been a long time since he has had any friends.
Race: Human
Canon or OC: OC
Weapon: Altair
Thauma #1: Volt
Thauma #2: Undine
Base Artes/Spells: Lightning Blade, Aqua Edge, Deep Mist
Bio: Seth is the child born from the union of his father, renowned merchant Gerald Rainier, and his fourth wife Agi, a young dancer from the oriental lands of Sord. Seth grew up together with his two siblings (an older sister and older brother), his father, and his three mothers in many different houses and manses throughout his life, as his father was a man whom preferred to represent his company himself, and would thus be there in flesh during the establishment of new trade agreements, negotiations, trade posts, and the such. Where his business called, he would go, but not alone. As a final request from his first wife - whom died without birthing a child for the man - his second wife promised him she would never leave him to have to come home to an empty home - even if it takes her across the sea, and it has become a way of life for this generation of the Rainier family for the whole family to tag along with the man on his business trips. Soon, this became moving between old and new residences to fulfill Gerald's need to tend to his tasks as company head, wherever it may be. The longest Seth has remembered staying in one home would be for a full year.

Gerald's second wife, Yvonne, was a very kind woman to everyone in her family, and Seth - as he grew - found her to be more doting on him than would his birth mother, who seemed to always want most of her husband's affection to herself. In fact, while his siblings would grow closest to their respective mothers who gave birth to them, Seth would try his best to grow close to all three of his mothers, inspired by Yvonne's unconditional love. At first he had little success gaining Hilde, Gerald's third wife's affections, and also felt a bit of a disconnection with his own birth mother, Agi. However, after a certain incident that attracted the attention of the whole town where they were living, he succeeded - and at that time, it was his happiest moment in life. Having been helped by the entire township, Seth was inspired to began loving everyone else unconditionally.
He was the very idea of a crusader for love; hopeful, joyous eyes that looked past all the faults and shortcomings of a person, and accepted them for who they were.

To the boy, everyone was the same; everyone deserved the same amount of love; everyone was special.

He would hold on to this vision, and held on to it with every ounce of his heart. But childhood had to come to an end for everyone. At the age of 12, his father's company began to suffer some setbacks that took their toll on his person. He began to change, becoming more irritable and aggressive. He struggled to keep everything together.

It was a struggle that would prove futile in a few years' time, and its complications would change lives.

One of them was Seth's. Now an adult, he carries a new name, and serves under the flag of the Zenterr military, as an elite knight within the Crimson Eagle division. Most recently, he, along with a few other members of the Crimson Eagle, has been given a task to investigate a few things in the land of Sephira...
Is this still accepting? I have a due long left unpaid.
This has my attention. If I might ask, which of these four characters seem most plausible for Brilliance, and so which one should I pursue?

#1 - Animated suit of armor, origin unknown at the moment, dialogue consisting mostly of grunts (though he can speak and will), wields a hefty, intimidating claymore, surrounded in cold air and possesses limited mastery over shadow. Is hella tall when standing up, and he is (most likely) human. Or, was...
#2 - Old researcher, hails from Sord (may be government or private sector), prioritizes his own set of agendas over himself and others (to an extent; he's still a moral man, but...), still dresses in his old, formal attire for a number of reasons; one being that people can find him easier. Human magic-user and face-puncher.
#3 - This guy is an oddball. His appearance and choice of weapon will scream "Villain!" due to an incident in the past, but he's actually a really sweet and doggedly nice human guy outside of battle, and he's not much different in battle either, only switching to a victory-based mindset with a tendency to jump in the line of fire for others.
#4 - Human knight of Zenterr, granted autonomy by an unknown-as-of-yet direct superior; he's investigating something at the time the story begins. Slightly sociopathic personality, but is focused on upholding his given duty. Wields a pole-arm, and showcases extreme disciplined skill in combat, to make up for his clashing elements.

I'll await your response. I've always secretly wanted to see how a "Tales of" story would grow...
