Lily Meadows
[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]@NinianLily walked over to the window Celes had been trying to open. She giggled a little before undoing a latch holding the window shut, and watched as Celes called over her Dragonite guardian. After she closed the window again, Lily flipped the latch back into place.
"Yeah, I'm not sure how, but I'll get to sleep. See ya in the morning then." She said, laying down on her bed after flipping off the lights. She laid there for a good half hour or so, but finally the fatigue drove her to sleep.
...This had to be one of the weirdest dreams she'd ever had. All around her there was this golden glow... it felt warm. She couldn't feel the ground under her feet, but she was standing perfectly stable on something. There appeared to be no one around, though.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" She called out. There was no verbal response.
Soon a shape emerged in the distance. It was a very familiar shape. It was small, kind of cute actually. Then it finally came into full view. It was Shaymin. She floated up to Lily, seemingly as confused as she was.
"I don't know either, if that's what you're thinking..." She said.
A brighter glow suddenly manifested before the two. It was a bright glow, and it too had a shape, one Lily did not recognize.
"Lily Meadows..." A voice said aloud.
"You have been chosen, one of pure heart, in a time of peril." The voice explained.
"Long ago, ten humans were chosen to partner with certain creatures that inhabited the land. They saved this land from destruction. Not since then has this power been needed again..."Everything began to go fuzzy. The glow began to diminish.
"You have already bonded with each other, though you may not understand it now. In time you will learn everything you need to know on your own, and with the help of your friends and fellow chosen humans. This is where I leave you... the rest is up to you..." The glow finally diminished, and everything went black...
The Next Morning...@Light Lord @SketcherLily woke up with a jolt. She looked around her, she was right where she had gone to sleep the night before. She looked next to her, it seemed Celes was still asleep. She sighed lightly. That dream... no, it was more than a dream... it was a message, a warning? No, that wasn't the word... she couldn't figure out what to call it. She reached over onto a bedside cabinet and grabbed her PokeGear to check the time:
7:14 A.M. VST (Viore Standard Time)She moved and sat up on the edge of the bed, stretching out a little. She felt a little clearer headed than the night before. She stood up and looked out the window. The sun was just on the horizon now. First thing's first: every morning business. She headed into the bathroom to get ready for the day.
Brent Ignia
[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]That morning Brent was still fast asleep in his bed. He was a rather heavy sleeper, there wasn't much that would wake him short of dynamite. Cyndaquil had already woken up, and was sitting on the edge of the bed watching some early morning cartoons while waiting for his trainer to wake up. If he took too much longer, he was going to give him a little nudge in the right direction with a little Ember to his backside.
Michael Stint
[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]Michael was wide awake already by the time everyone else was waking up. He was dressed in his traveling clothes and was out in the main lobby feeding his Pokemon.
"You guys make sure to eat up while you can, it'll be a few hours before we reach Vertigo, according to the maps." He said, starting to eat on some breakfast himself.
Bryce Crest
[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]Bryce was also awake, but had gotten up a little after Michael. He opted to stay in his room while he got ready to head out himself. His Pokemon were all ready to go, and also eating their breakfast. Bryce never really ate breakfast, if he got hungry between morning and lunch he had some energy bars in his backpack to keep him going. Maya's attitude had also reverted back to normal after her episode the previous evening.
Brooks
[Route 701 - Pokemon Center]"Alright Noivern, Diving Air Slash!" He said as his Pokemon dove downward at incredible speed, delivering a swift Air Slash to a training dummy before quickly pulling up and out.
"Perfect, you're still in top shape it looks like." He said, giving his Dragon Type a thumbs up, Noivern returning the gesture.
"I think we should be all set then, just had to make sure you were all warmed up this morning." He stopped and thought to himself.
"I'll go a little easy on him. He looks like he's got some experience, but not too much power." He told his Dragon Type, who nodded in response.
Sierra Hymn
[Vertigo City - Pokemon Center]Sierra was up bright and early that morning, and had Deerling and Fennekin out back behind the Pokemon Center.
"Alright, we've got about two days before the Vertigo Contest now, so we need to be ready. Let's warm up a little first, then get into some contest moves!" She said, her Pokemon jumping with her in enthusiasm.
