[Shiny Keldeo]

Welcome! If you're reading this, than you decided to drop by for a visit and check out my profile! If not, then why are you still reading this right now?

The name's Keldeo, Shiny Keldeo. I joined the Guild about a two years ago after my first forum fizzled out. I thought I knew what I was doing with Roleplay when I came on the scene, when in reality I had barely scratched the surface of what I had to learn.

My first few RPs went bust, but with each failure I gained valuable experience to learn from, and eventually I started up a fairly successful RP known as Digimon: As the Lights Fade. However, it eventually went bust as over half the RPers, including my Co-GM, poofed and dropped without much warning.

Then came two of my longest running RPs. Pokemon: Legendary Guardians and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Shadows of the Past. Both were filled with great characters and I made a ton of new RP friends in them. Sadly, too many problems arose in both, and I was forced to shut them down.

I wasn't done with Legendary Guardians, however, and rebooted it to try my hand at it once more. So far, it's still going strong, thanks to dedicated people like Ninian and Light Lord, who've helped it stay alive through it all. I'm still not done yet, there's still more creative genius in me waiting to be tapped into!

Roleplay Information

I like to stick to Casual mostly. I've never tried anything in Advanced, but I just can't do anything in Free. I like to include way more dialog and information in my posts than I can post in Free.

I usually prefer to RP with Multiple Characters. It's easier for me to say more and do more, whether that being a Digidestined with a Digimon, a Pokemon Trainer with their Pokemon, or multiples of either.

Speaking of which, there are several subjects to which I usually work with in RP. The biggest being Pokemon. I'm up for (almost) anything, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, or just being a normal Trainer is completely fine with me. Other interests include Digimon, Star Wars, and various other subjects that would be too numerous to name here.

"So you two failed to capture The Gratitude Pokemon, and also defied my orders. I wanted no combat against the trainers." Said a man with a rather large build. "Sire, they were an unexpected variable, and they were interfering with our-" One of the grunts started to reply. "Silence. Your ignorance is what is not tolerated in this organization. You didn't think I wouldn't be watching your progress, did you?" He said, holding up a tablet that gave him a first person view of what the grunts had done.

"Sire, please, give us another chance. It was the heat of the moment! We haven't even told you about the abnormally strong trainer we encountered!" The other grunt pleaded. "I said sil- abnormally strong trainer?" He asked. "Yes... Sire... he was strong enough to take on both of our teams with only two Pokemon..." The first grunt replied. "And... I believe he executed Mega Evolution... on a Pokemon not known to be capable of it." The second grunt continued.

The large man put his hand up to his chin in thought. "Interesting... this information may serve us well... I'd heard reports from the other Admins about a rather strong trainer who's been poking around." The grunts looked at each other. "So... what will happen to us now?" One of the grunts asked. "As... useful as this information is... your actions are inexcusable. You will be sent back to base for reconditioning." He said, and with a snap of his fingers, the grunts were restrained. "Take them away." He said.

As the group left, he returned to his vehicle, turning on the video screen to show a live feed of another man. "Elite, what have you to report?" With a sharp salute, the man responded. "Sire, we engaged The Victory Pokemon, as ordered. It put up quite a fight, and the outcome... you've seen the morning news, haven't you?" He replied. "Ah, I had my suspicions. What became of the target?"

"The target managed to escape into a populated area. We did not pursue, to avoid collateral damage." The man nodded. "Copy that. Meet me in Vertigo, I'll bring you up to speed on recent developments here." The man on the video gave one last sharp salute, and the image ended. The man, now in the drivers seat of the vehicle, put it in drive and began heading for Vertigo in the morning sunlight.
Selena the Bayleef and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Trunk Entrance]

@Ninian @Light Lord

The two couldn't help but overhear the awkward conversation between Devon and Lilisette, wondering why she didn't know how to go home. The two looked at each other with a questioning glance, but neither knew the answer. Finally when Lilisette began addressing them, they replied. "You guys can share that stuff between you two, Selena and me got plenty of stuff." Ember said, looking down at her treasure bag. "Right, we've each got 5 apples, and a Reviver Seed each. But you guys can have these." She said, placing 2 Oran Berries and 1 Blast Seed on the ground in front of them.

"We grabbed enough Oran Berries for everyone that we could, even one for you Mr. Brick, if you needed one." She finished. "Yeah, Selena actually knows a lot about this stuff, even though she's never been out of Folio before. Like grabbing Blast Seeds instead of, like, Gravelrocks." Ember said. "Everything I know is from my parents, it's because of them..." She said, suddenly taking a moment to think about how much she had actually detested the training she had been put through.

Finally, the mystery seemed to get the better of Ember, as she finally asked the question. "Hey, Lilisette? What did you mean, that you didn't know how to go home?" Ember asked, Selena looking nervously at her friends. "As... much as I don't want to prod... I'm curious too..."

Fuse the Luxio and Hikari the Luxio
[Folio Town - The Blue Treeko]

After finally somewhat regaining his freedom of movement, Fuse led Hikari down to The Blue Treeko. There the two got situated and began to order. "The usual, Tomato Berry Salad with Rawst Berry Juice." Fuse said without even looking at a menu. "I think I'll have... The Mixed Berry Saute with... Oran Berry Drink." Hikari replied after a few moments of thought. As the waiter left with their orders, Hikari finally asked the question again.

"So... how did you end up way out here?" She asked, seeing his face and showing a bit of concern on hers. "Well... you know when I left on my trial I had to get back that Artifact from the Manectric Clan right?" He said. "Of course. I watched you leave... it was the last time anyone saw you again..." She said sadly. "Well... I never found it... I didn't want to come back a failure. I decided to try joining Law Enforcement, hoping that could help me. That's when I evolved. But... I flunked out, didn't have the right Personality they said." He said with a low growl.

"That sounds just awful for you..." She said with a genuine voice of comfort. "And after wandering around in the desert, my supplies got stolen by bandits, and I thought I was done for... but then..." "Then what?!" She piped in excitedly, pulling back when Fuse gave her a glance. "... then I was rescued, by members from this Guild in fact. I admired what they had done, and I saw another chance I could take to redeem myself, so I joined them. But ever since... It's just been one bad mission after another..."

He sighed. "That's how I got here... one failure after a next, resulting in the biggest failure sitting next to you..." Hikari's eyes showed deep concern now, seeing Fuse so down. "Ligero... it's time for you to come home..." She said, Fuse opening his eyes and looking at her. "I can't come home... not until I've done what I set out to do." Hikari shook her head. "Stormer wants you to come back, everyone does. You've been away for so long, so much has changed... you've just got to..."

Fuse shook his head. "I can't... I don't want them to see the failure that I've become... so go back to them, tell them I'm still working towards my goal..." He said. "If you're not coming, I'm not going." She said sternly, stamping her paw on the table. "What do you mean?" He asked. "My Trial, my Right of Passage Quest, was to find you and bring you home. I won't go home unless you go home. So if you're staying here, so am I." His eyes lit up a bit in surprise.

"So you'd better get used to me hanging around, because I'm sticking to you like Frubble." She finished. He gave a smile, but in his mind he was thinking of how bad a time it was for her to be here, about what was happening soon. As the food arrived, the two began to eat, and there was a calm silence between the two at last.
Brent Ignia and Lily Meadows
Brent's Party: Cyndaquil
Lily's Party: Chikorita
[Route 701]

Brent shrugged at the replies. "Anyone can really write something down, get people to believe it, and make it last for centuries. For me, it's not that I don't believe in it, but I just want proof before I put my full faith in a few words." He said, looking at Lily and Shaymin. "That said, I'm not sure if you'll find any direct legends to Shaymin. Legends like the ones my dad looks into are before Pokemon were even called Pokemon. And a lot of Legends of Viore are... well... lost. Either they were accidentally lost or purposefully locked away, that's what Maple and Dad are looking into."

Lily listened intently. "So there's still a lot this region doesn't know about their own history? That's weird, but cool at the same time." She said. <I'd be able to tell you about that stuff... if I was hundreds of years old.> Shaymin said sarcastically. <I know that my kind had some kind of purpose, but no one really knew what.> She finished, scratching her head as she flew alongside Lily.

The air grew somewhat silent as the group came upon the remains of what appeared to be an intense battlefield, the same that Bryce and Michael had passed through earlier. "This place looks like the battlefield back at the Pokemon Center... except... more careless destruction..." Said Brent. Lily looked around, seeing the neatly sliced trees and assorted craters around the area. "What happened he-" She stopped as a rustling in a nearby bush caught her attention. "Something's there..." She said, causing Brent and their Pokemon to stop and look. It was a light rustling, as if something was passing through. The Pokemon jumped in front, to guard against any potential danger.

Sierra Hymn and Luna Muuya
Sierra's Party: Fennekin, Deerling
Luna's Party: Torrent the Popplio, Flake the Vulpix, Hound the Rockruff, Sola the Bounsweet
[Vertigo City - Pokemon Center]

Seeing his response to her question, Sierra's enthusiasm quickly vanished as she pulled back somewhat. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..." She tried to say. Luna, seeing the situation beginning to turn somewhat somber, decided to try and lighten the mood. "Well, Torrent's going to be out for a little while, so how about I show you the rest of my team?" She said, pulling three Pokeballs from her bag. "Come on out everyone!" She cried as she tossed them all into the air, each releasing the Pokemon held inside one after another.

The first to be released was a pure white Vulpix, the second a young Rockruff, and the third a cheerful Bounsweet. "These are Flake, Hound, and Sola." She said, gesturing to each one. "Wow, even here in Viore these Pokemon are super rare! I've never even seen an Alolan Vulpix in person!" Sierra said, kneeling down to get a good look at her team. <Hello.> Flake said quietly. <Hiya! Nice to meetya!> Hound said with energy while bouncing up and down. <What they said... I see Torrent probably used Hydro Vortex again...> Sola said, taking note of the slumbering Popplio in Luna's arms.
Selena the Bayleef and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town]

After splitting off from Devon, the group of three made their way to the center of town to the Kecleon's Shop. While the two were looking at supplies, Lilisette split off from them. She didn't say why, and they didn't ask. Instead, they focused on getting the supplies, because even they knew that some Pokemon just needed a little alone time. In total, the two gathered an inventory of:

  • Apple x10
  • Oran Berry x5
  • Reviver Seed x2
  • Blast Seed x2

After arriving at the Trunk, it wasn't too long before Devon finally reappeared, bandage free and ready to go. "That's good to hear!" Said Selena, giving a smile towards the Totodile. Then Brick tossed them what would be one of their final pieces of equipment. "Oh yeah! Emeras, those are those weird gem crystal things that can only exist in dungeons or something..." Ember said, showing her lack of knowledge on the subject.

"My dad used these all the time in Dungeons, he still has his usual one, he never takes it off." She said, before shaking her head and getting back to the subject. "Emeras are strange objects only found in Dungeons. They can grant special abilities and effects that help those who know how to use them. The one my dad used often was an Awakening Emera. They're one of the few things that can allow Pokemon to achieve Mega Evolution." She explained.

Omen the Absol and Serenity the Sylveon
[Folio Town - Folio Guild]

The teenage Absol watched the large oak door open and the Marowak answer their knock. He locked eyes with the Pokemon, letting the seriousness of his attitude sink in. "I know what's happening. We're here to help." He said, nudging his way in a little, Serenity following behind. "Guild Master Glyph, right? My name is Omen, I'm a member of the Valiant Village Guild under Guild Masters Spirit and Luna." He started, not moving from his spot at the door.

"We've traveled far from our home on the Grass Continent because of... well... you know how Absol have acute danger sense..." He said, closing his eyes. "My father has a Disaster Sense more potent than normal Absol, and that passed on to me. I've sensed great disaster approaching, and I knew I had to come." He explained. "So my partner, Serenity, and her sister Krystal, came with me. I cannot determine how potent the threat really is, but if what I heard you saying is true, then my worst fears may have been realized..."

He opened his eyes, staring into the domed eyes of the Flygon Guild Master. "Another world ending disaster is upon us... and Folio could just be the beginning... I... We will do all we can to stop this threat before it begins. Let us help you." He said, bowing slightly to the Guild Master. "Please. As fellow Guild Members, we have to do something if we can help it. Otherwise, it goes against everything we believe in, that we've learned, that we've taught." Serenity said, following Omen's example.

Fuse the Luxio
[Folio Town - Folio Guild]

He'd been sitting alone in his appointed Guild Room for a while now. He'd been questioning his actions, wondering if he'd done the right thing, thinking about what would have happened had he told the truth. He'd finally come to the realization that he'd done what he'd done and there was no turning back. He had to go out and face the world as he always did. He left his isolation and re-entered the normal world. As he walked out the door, his head was held low, his eyes closed as he was deep in thought. He never even noticed it coming...

*THUD*

The pounding in his head felt like he had just headbutted a wall. "Ow..." He heard in reply. Okay, so it wasn't a wall. "Oh my gosh, are you two alright?!" He heard another voice. He was afraid to look up, he'd plowed right into someone. "I'm okay... what about yo-" He heard the voice stop. He heard a gasp, and he heard a few steps. "L-Ligero? I-is it really you?" He stopped. His eyes opened wide. Who would know his real name? Only Glyph really even knew it, everyone else only knew him by his nickname Fuse.

He looked up, and was taken aback by the face of another Luxio staring right into his eyes at point blank range. "Gah!" He jumped back in surprise. He looked over the Luxio. She was clearly female, but a single detail caught his eye. A single flower. The same type of flower he'd given his best friend not long before he left his tribe. It couldn't be... of all the places in the world, it couldn't be... "It is you... you're okay, you're really okay!" The Luxio before him rushed forward, tackling him in a hug.

"H-Hikari? There's no way... how... why..." He stuttered. He was speechless. He didn't know how it was possible. "I've missed you so much... you never came home... we thought the worst... I don't believe it!" She said, keeping him close, her closed eyes shedding a tear or two. "Um... this is getting... kinda... awkward..." The second voice said, and suddenly the two snapped to attention and attempted to regain their composure. "Sorry... but really, I thought I'd never see you again... where have you been, what have you been doing?!" Hikari asked.

"Well... Uhm... It's... a long story..." He said, Hikari coming up next to him. "You can tell me ALL about it over lunch... oh yeah, this is Krystal. Krystal, this is Ligero, he's the one I've been looking for!" She said, the Glaceon giving a little wave. "Nice to meet you. I'll let you two... catch up... catch you later!" She said, rushing by the two as she skirted past the guards and into the Guild. "Now come on, like she said, it's time to catch up!" She said, beginning to push Fuse along. "Hey! Okay, I can walk on my own! Come on!" He said as she continued leading him towards the town center.
Michael Stint and Bryce Crest
Michael's Party: Turtwig, Glameow
Bryce's Party: Moss the Swampert, Striker the Manectric, Maya the Flareon*
[Route 701]

Leaving the remains of whatever battle had taken place far behind, the two trainers continued to converse. "So you've competed in not one, not two, but three Pokemon League Tournaments? That's amazing, you must be a really good trainer!" Michael said, now beginning to admire the veteran trainer. "Well I never did very well... I've never gotten past the Top 32. But my Pokemon enjoy it, and that makes me happy." Bryce replied.

"Well, at least you never give up. That shows you've got spirit, determination, whatever you call it." He said, causing Bryce to think for a second. He'd all but given up on his dreams. He'd failed so many times his spirit had been crushed, his determination simmered away. Or so he'd thought. Why was he here again? If what he thought was true, why was he still moving forward? "Thanks... that's really inspiring to hear, I mean that." He said.

Striker was still thinking about what they had seen earlier. <I only hope that it wasn't poachers...> The very word made Maya stop in her tracks for a moment. <P-Poachers? Y-Yeah, I hope it wasn't...> She stuttered, quickly increasing her pace until she was side by side with Bryce. <I'm guessing from how she reacted that she has a history with that breed of human.> Glameow said, having fallen back with the other Pokemon.

<Yes... back when she was an Eevee, she was mercilessly hunted by a Poacher. It was by chance that Bryce came across her beaten and exhausted. Me and Moss fought off the poacher when he attacked, and he was later captured by authorities, but something like that... it leaves scars... some you can't see... even Moss understands that...> He explained. Hearing this even left Turtwig speechless, as the group continued on.

Luna smiled, walking onto the battlefield and picking Torrent up in her arms. <Yeah... I'll be... fine... just need to... catch my breath...> She said as she closed her eyes, relaxing in her trainers arms. "Maybe... but I still find it kind of silly..." She said, looking at Silvally whom seemed concerned about Torrent. "She'll be okay, she's not as well trained as you are, using that takes a lot out of her." She said as she felt the Popplio fall asleep in her arms.

"That was amazing, really amazing! I could literally see the aura connecting you two, that's incredible! I had no idea..." She said, taking in what Gladion had said about his father's research. "I'm not too sure what you mean by that, but it sounds cool." The girls entire personality had changed in a moment, such an extraordinary sight had filled her with so much excitement. "You've got one of those too, don't you Gladion? What does yours look like?" She asked.
Selena the Bayleef and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Folio Guild]

With everything that had been talked about, a check up with Rhys had completely slipped everyone's mind. "That's right... you did get hurt pretty badly yesterday..." Selena said, remembering what had happened the night before. "Well... we could probably go to the market and get what we need while you get checked up, then meet you at the trunk." Said Ember. "That could work... what do you guys think?" Selena asked the group.

Fuse the Luxio and Breeze the Shaymin
[Folio Town - Folio Guild]

The sunlight finally began to shine through the windows, touching the edge of the Gracidea Flower that hung on the slumbering Shaymin. In a moment that sunlight activated the flower pollen, and the grass type transformed as the electric lion entered the room. With a yawn, Breeze looked over to Fuse. "Morning... well... did we do it?" She asked. "You don't... remember?" Asked Fuse, turning his head questioningly. "No... that's weird actually... what happened?" She asked.

The events of the previous night replayed in Fuse's head. He couldn't tell her that, it could break her heart, or trigger another episode or whatever happened to her. "Yeah, we did it. You passed out from... exhaustion I think... so we took you back. And Gren... he found what he was looking for, and I hope he's okay now." He said, trying to make it sound believable. "That's good, as long as he was happy in the end, that's what matters." She said, a smile on her face. She bought it at least, but it didn't make Fuse feel any better.

"Yeah... so how are you feeling this morning?" He asked. "Just fine. That good night's sleep is all I needed. I think I'm gonna head into town and get a bite to eat. Wanna come?" She replied, Fuse shaking his head. "No thanks. I've got some stuff to take care of... maybe later." He said. "Alright, well, I'll see you later then!" She finished as she gave a wave and flew out of the room, leaving Fuse alone with his thoughts.

Omen the Absol and Serenity the Sylveon
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

Their knock went mostly unheard it seemed, but it seemed the group of Pokemon inside were in deep conversation. It sounded quite interesting, and they didn't want to interfere, but they couldn't help but eavesdrop on what they were saying. "You see? They know already, and they're preparing for it. You're worrying yourself to death when everything is already under control..." "Shh." Omen cut her off as he continued to listen. From the sound of it they thought they still had plenty of time to prepare and get civilians to safety...

"They think they can actually protect them all... they won't even have enough time to evacuate a third of the town... if this event occurs the same as others before..." Omen said, taking in the information he had heard and adding it to his own knowledge. He knew that another world ending event was beginning, and that this place would be the first major blow in what could become a war between Pokemon. Now he began to piece everything together.

"A Legendary Pokemon... leading an uprising of Dungeon Pokemon? Why?" Asked Serenity. "I don't know... I don't see the point... the Legendary Pokemon of our world have no reason to do such a thing..." He said, continuing to contemplate the details. "I need more details..." He said to himself in the same hushed voice he and Serenity had been using to avoid detection. Now he moved to the door and knocked hard on the door, hoping to get someone's attention that they were there.

While everyone seemed skeptical and unsure about the mystery man as they kept moving, Devon seemed curious about what he meant. "You don't have to tell me that, my dad's Professor Maple's right hand man." He said, closing his eyes for a moment and thinking. "What that guy said, it sounded like an old bedtime story my dad told me when I was younger... I never really paid attention to it, so I don't remember it much. He'd be the one to ask about that kind of stuff." He said. "You don't believe in a lot of those legends, do you?" Asked Lily.

"Can't say that I do. I will say that there's always something to them, but most of the stuff they say is so wild and out there that it seems so exaggerated. Like Arceus. I couldn't even imagine a single Pokemon creating the entire universe, just doesn't sound like it's possible." He replied. "I guess it does sound kind of extreme... but there has to be something behind it if it gets remembered after all this time, don't you think so guys?" Lily asked in response.

The two watched in confusion as Gladion seemed to open up something on Silvally like a CD Drive, taking out a disc and replacing it with another. And in a moment, the Pokemon's color changed. "What did he just do to it... is that even a Pokemon?" Sierra wondered in her mind as she and her Pokemon moved off of the battlefield. "You sure? Okay, let's go Torrent!" She said, happily moving to her side of the battlefield. <Oh, I hope I don't screw this up...> Torrent said as she took her place in front of her trainer.

Luna reached to her Z-Ring and touched the crystal there. "This one's kinda embarrasing looking to me, so we don't use it very much, but here goes!" She said as she began moving in her stance, performing the activation motion for the Z-Move. Sierra watched as the air turned serious and the aura between the trainer and her Pokemon was clearly visible. "Alright, Torrent, Hydro Vortex!" She called out, her partner unleashing the Water Type Z-Move on the Silvally. The Pokemon was lifted into the massive whirlpool, afterwards Torrent quickly struck multiple times at the Pokemon before a flash of light ended the Z-Move, the remaining water droplets falling to the ground.

Torrent fell back down to earth on her side of the battlefield where she began, clearly exhausted by the endeavor. Both trainer and Pokemon looked across the battlefield to see what had become of Silvally.

The two followed along as they finally got ready to head out. As they headed into the main area, they were met by the Feraligatr from the night before. Devon did a fairly good job explaining what had gone on so far, so the two remained rather quiet, still giving a slight nod to the Luxio who had finally diverted his attention from the bare cork board to meet the new recruits and the trainer. "You sure they've got what it takes to handle the Gauntlet, Brick? I mean, I trust your judgement and all, but I just want to be sure."

"I think we can handle it. Brick's given us some very helpful tips, and we're going to stock up for the journey ahead now." The Bayleef said. "We can totally handle this! I'm so psyched!" Ember said, much more confident than her friend.

Fuses eye's focused on the item the Feraligatr offered to the fledgling team. "That could definitely be a life saver out there, that's a very sought after item right there." He said. Selena was surprised when the rare item was offered to her. "M-me? Really? A-are you sure? I-I..." The Bayleef stuttered. "Come on, Selena, take it!" The Bayleef nodded, holding out a paw and accepting the offered item. [Selena Obtained a MENTAL HERB. Selena Stored the MENTAL HERB in her TREASURE BAG] "Thank you, I'm sure this will help us out a lot." She said, politely bowing to the towering Water Type.

The Luxio looked at the group, wondering how such a mismatched group could possibly find a way to function in the gauntlet. He cast the thought away soon after, surely Glyph knew what he was doing. "I'll be back, I have to check on a certain slumbering Pokemon of my own." He said, slipping past the group and heading towards the Guild Member Barracks.

Krystal the Glaceon and ???
[Folio Town]

The Glaceon and her newfound friend, now revealed to be a Luxio, traveled along the tree trunk streets as they explored the treetop town. "It's amazing that something like this can even exist, the view is amazing, everything about this place is..." "Amazing?" The Luxio asked. "Exactly!" Krystal replied. "But... I know I said I would help Omen with his mission if he let me come along..." She said, sighing. "We should probably go find the Folio Guild and catch up with him."

"It's probably that right up there." The Luxio stated, pointing up towards a large building covered in foliage and guarded by a Nidoqueen and Scizor. "Good eye, you'd make a good explorer." Krystal said, giving a smile. "Now come on. As Omen would say, we've got a Mission to do." She said, the two finally heading towards the building.

After Devon finished caring for his injured Pokemon, the group was on the road again. Devon was already starting to plan a bit ahead for when they reached Vertigo. "That's an easy one for me. Me and my dad pass by the Vertigo Pokemon Center every time we come in from Stormbutte. It has plenty of room for trainers passing through, and it's free. Better than having to pay for a Hotel." Brent explained. "Stormbutte?" Lily asked, looking at her PokeGear Map. "Yeah, it's a city up to the Northeast. It's where most of Viore get their power from too, from the Stormbutte Power Plant." He answered.

"Wow, that's cool. Must be an interesting place to live." She replied. She stealthily looked down at her hand once more, something she had been doing all morning so far off and on, looking to see if that mark had returned. So far, it hadn't, everything was normal. It seemed like it would be a normal trip to Vertigo from here on.

"In Viore's Ancient Past, Ten Humans Were Chosen to Bond With Certain Magical Creatures that Lived Here." Came a Voice. It was a man, shrouded in a cloak sitting under a tree. "These Ten Heroes Would Defeat a Great Evil, Cementing the Safety of Viore For the Future. It Was Said That New Heroes Would be Chosen Should Another Such Threat Arise. It Seems... That Time Has Come..." He said, before standing up and walking past the group. "Excuse Me." He said as he passed by. Soon he was out of sight.

"That was... random..." Said Brent, scratching his head. Lily seemed entranced by the encounter. As the group continued onward, she kept having the feeling that the man was talking to her, but why? <That man was weird.> Shaymin said as the group walked. <Yeah, no kidding... gave me the creeps...> Said Chikorita, looking over her shoulder to see if the man was following them, which he was not. <There's a lot of weird people in this world, that much I know...> Cyndaquil said. <Not all of them though. Some, like everyone here, are nice, kinda normal, and fun to be around.> Chikorita replied.

Michael Stint and Bryce Crest
Michael's Party: Turtwig, Glameow
Bryce's Party: Moss the Swampert, Striker the Manectric, Maya the Flareon*
[Route 701]

"What do you think that guy meant?" Asked Michael, talking with Bryce about the strange man they encountered and the story he'd told them. "Ten Heroes, Ancient Prophecy, seems kinda silly to me." He said, Bryce shaking his head. "Trust me, you might want to rethink that stuff. I never really believed much in the ancient legends in Hoenn, either. But then..." A flashback to Bryce only a few years before as he watched a climactic battle between Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. "Legends always have truth buried in them. Somewhere."

"Alright... then..." He said. "Look at this..." Bryce stopped and looked around him. Broken Trees and craters littered the area. Fresh Tire Tracks were evident in the dirt. "Something happened here... Let's keep moving." He said. <Wow, one crazy battle took place here...> Striker said. <What makes you say that?> Asked Michael's Turtwig. <Those Trees were slashed clean through. Name one Human Lumberjack who could pull that off. And I can still smell the scent of ash from those craters, a Draco Meteor.> He said. <Yeah... let's get moving in case whatever did this comes back.> Maya said. Glameow took in everything but remained silent, keeping close to Michael.

Sierra Hymn and Luna Muuya
Sierra's Party: Fennekin, Deerling
Luna's Party: Torrent the Popplio, Flake the Vulpix, Hound the Rockruff, Sola the Bounsweet
[Vertigo City - Pokemon Center]

@Ninian
"Oh, me... well... you can't say I didn't complete A Trial..." She said, moving her arm over to the Z-Ring on her wrist which held Waterium-Z. "After my first trial, I just decided that it didn't feel right for me at the moment... so I decided to travel to somewhere I'd never seen. And, after a few boat trips, here I am." She said, taking note of Gladion's Z-Ring. "It's not something written in stone that you have to finish ALL of them if you want to leave Alola. I'm free to go wherever I want to, as long as my Pokemon are with me."

"I've never seen something like that before..." Sierra said, looking at the Z-Rings both trainers carried. "I'm not surprised, it's an Alolan Custom. I... could show you... would you like to help me demonstrate... Gladion was it?" She asked, proposing a battle with the veteran trainer.

<Wait... you'd have me battle... him?> Torrent said, her pupil's shrinking as she truly took in her would-be opponent. Ignoring her for the moment, the two Pokemon of Sierra's continued the earlier conversation. <A Coma? That's so... sad... and I guess wanting to make new friendships on a journey is a good thing.> Deerling said, the Fennekin jumping forward. <So... what happened?> She asked bluntly. <Fennekin! I'm so sorry...> Deerling said, jumping in front of the Fire Fox and pushing her back. <You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to... Apologize Fennekin!> She said. <Ow! Hey! Stop It! Alright! I'm... sorry...> She said.
Selena the Bayleef and Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Light Lord @Ninian
The two listened carefully as Brick explained the answer to his question. "I get it... without that, nothing that we even suggested would work at all..." The young Quilava stated as she looked to her teammates. "Of course you can't understand everything at once can you? Which is why we're a team. We'll each be able to understand different things that the others might not." Selena finished.

Then Brick threw the curveball at them. Their first official mission as Team Horizon. "Alright!" Ember yelled in happiness. Her first mission, she was so excited. "So soon..." Selena said quietly. With so little preparation or guidance, they were being thrown out into the world beyond Folio.

Thankfully Brick cleared things up slightly, informing them of a few more coming lessons and some time before they headed out. The Bayleef let out a sigh of relief, with Ember still completely hyped. "I don't really have any questions right now, other than when do we start the next part?" She said.

Fuse the Luxio
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Light Lord
He listened carefully to the short response the Feraligatr gave. It wasn't one that was said to just change the subject, one that didn't believe him. But it wasn't one that spelled full faith and belief either. It was an answer that said he was a Pokemon who took many different views into consideration. "Me? No, I didn't even sleep here last night. I couldn't relax, so I went for a little walk and ended up spending the night over on the Observation Platform." He said. "Not sure if the troupe stayed here either. If they aren't here, they'd probably be somewhere in town, the Blue Treeko would be a good place to check." He finished.

Omen the Absol and Serenity the Sylveon
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

@Light Lord
The Absol and Sylveon watched as the two guards stepped aside, allowing them access to the Guild. As they entered, Omen heard what the Scizor said about having been beaten to the punch. He only nodded as they continued past. Perhaps all his worry was for nothing, perhaps they already knew what was coming and were prepared for it... but he had to be sure. A feeling this powerful, it could only mean disaster for the world. The two looked around inside the large building. There wasn't much, the place seemed fairly empty at that moment.

Hearing talking, the two followed the speech towards a set of stairs that led to a large set of oak doors. Omen was ready to march right in, but was stopped by his partner. "At least knock before you just barge into something. He's talking with someone, let's be polite before we drop a bombshell on him." She said, tapping on the large doors before her with her paw.
