By the way, I was definitely thinking of Vespania being in one of the two regions I've circled on the map.

Four days is dead?

Instead of through introspection and monologue, the idea would be to portray what make each character themselves would be through words and action seen through the eyes of the poor mooks/baddies/rivals they would face. That would be a huge study in characterization and perspective, in that each player would effectively try to impact each scene as much as they can through actions and words alone. The plot would probably be pretty big on action, and the pace would probably means shorter but faster posts as a result.

This reminds me of a video game concept someone shot at me once: a second person shooter where you have to shoot the bad guys but have to see through their eyes.

It would work much better in your version, however, as writing from the perspective of the mooks would be way easier than designing a second person shooter.

It's an interesting idea to be sure.
Granted. You are booted in the ass.

I wish for the power of perpetually fortuitous circumstances!

I understand. Good luck!

Also, if you don't mind, I would like to interact with the Namilee rather early on in the RP, mainly because they are my favorite race thus far and I think I like them almost as much as my own

This would be fine with me. It might make the most sense, then, if the X'cor systems are located near the Xim, and if the Namilee fleet is fleeing X'cor territory.

Also, I forget what other points I wanted to make about Namilee-Xim interactions, but feel free to ask me questions about that either here or via PM. I will answer to the best of my ability, though I will be busy for part of today and most of tomorrow, so I'm not sure how well I'll answer before Friday.
Well, here's my first draft.

EDIT: Made a couple modifications.
EDIT 2: Changed the name "Ferdinando" to "Fernando." Spanish names are cooler than Italian ones.

Just finished my Final paper. I am... pooped. Very pooped. And I hope it was a good enough paper.

I'll take some time to relax and then start puking out some commentary.

And what if someone stared at them like they were a piece of merchandise, clearly sizing up all their weaknesses and strengths as one would with a horse? Then asked for a gene sample and to see sketches of their entire biological systems?

Because that's how Xim greet everyone. Until you prove your intelligence, you aren't a person so much as just a wad of raw organic material, which should be refined and modified into a more perfect form.

The Xim have a lot of strengths- they're smarter, stronger, healthier, hardier, and faster than most others- but diplomacy is not one of them.

As noted previously, a "peace or flight" response is pretty much standard procedure for the Namilee at this point.

If they did not feel immediately threatened by the Xim, they'd probably begin interacting by trying to decipher their language and establish an air of peace. They'd potentially engage in trade, though they may be curious - and cautious - about the Xim's desire to procure samples which would provide them with Namilee DNA. At the very least, they'd want to know the why behind this; but being trusting, there's a fair chance they'd concede, but might ask for similar samples from the Xim.

(After all, why let an awkward and potentially threatening negotiation get in the way of a good experiment?)

But they'd much rather trade information, such as cultural information and scientific learning, especially so they might get an understanding of the Xim's outlook on the galaxy and their technological advancement. Then they'd decide what technologies they're willing to reveal to the Xim, as they'd want to make certain they don't give a race technology too far beyond its present state as that might risk, y'know, more genocide. Again.

I'll talk more about this later. I have to finish an essay.

You might want to make sure the camouflaging tech masks scent as well since the Mabronnans have noses to rival bloodhounds.

Well, that isn't something the Namilee would have prepared yet, though it probably WILL become a part of their stealth technology eventually. But they haven't been hunted by bloodhounds or anything like that, though they certainly know there are predators that rely on their sense of smell...

Also, I should make it clear that this stealth technology only applies to them on a personal level. Their ships can't just POOF. At least, I don't think I wrote it that way, and if I did I'll change it so their ships can't just go invisible.

Their camouflage exists solely to help their people survive on the surface of planets/moons/asteroids.
