"I appreciate the cooperation." Thomas said, smiling, "I will be questioning you in your quarters, along with Eva." Thomas explained to Sophia. He had no intention of take royalty to an interrogation room, especially after what Sophia had saw, "As for you, I'm afraid I will be taking you to to a holding cell until I care question you. You will be the best cell we have, and we'll make sure you're accommodated correctly. I'm sorry, but due to the recent events, I must take action this way." Thomas further went on, explain why he had to do what he was about to do, "You will be treated with the diginity that royalty deserves, Princess. This is simply investigation, nothing less, and nothing more." Thomas finished, as he looked at Feril, "If you don't mind, I'd appreciated it if you both followed me." Thomas finished, as he turned to Gareth, "As a squire of the Order of the Thistle, I request you follow along with me, Mister Harker."
Alright. :D I'll post then.
Thomas nodded as Gareth's thanks, before returning his attention back to Sophia, "That's actually why I came here. Princess. I'm afraid I need to alert you to some events, and ask you a few questions." Thomas reveal, a look of slight disappointment on his face, as if he did not enjoy revealing he needed to question the Princess, "I also need to question you, if you don't mind, my lady." Thomas added, pointing towards Feril, "It has to do with events that have transpired as of late." He explained, as he stood up from his seat, now standing next to Gareth. As Thomas stood up, he noticed the intricate scabbard Gareth now possessed, He smiled when he noticed it, knowing full well that Sir Walden had given the squire the weapon, and had no doubt sent the boy on a mission. It was evident in the way Gareth now carried himself. He seemed far more confident, to Thomas. Something Thomas had not seen before in Gareth.
Lmao, I lost it. I'm pretty sure that that's enough justification for Thomas to draw his sword and fight Gareth.
I'm just joking. Lol. I was wondering if you were gonna have Gareth show up, or not.
Thanks, Obama!
Thomas noticed as Sophia took note of his coming presence, donning a friendly smile as he did so. As he approached his posture relaxed, and he took a seat next to Sophia. "My lady," Thomas said, nodding and acknowledging Feril, "Your grace." Thomas turned towards Sophia and nodded. Thomas was trying his best to ignore the fact that part of his face was covered in a white eye wrap, and figured it best if he simply didn't refer to it at all, "How are you fairing?, Princess?" Thomas asked, with a concerned tone. Everything that had happened had created a habitat dangerous, and traumatizing, for children. Thomas felt remorse, as he remembered that Sophia had seen what he had down. Before Thomas could add anything else, Gareth approached, and placed a hand on Sophia. Thomas smirked slightly as it appeared Gareth refused to acknowledge his presence. "Hello, Gareth. I've heard you've recently became a squire of the Order. Congratulations!" Thomas said, smiling as he did so, "It's been a while since we've talked." He added, as he took a glance at Feril from across the table, the fact he only had one operating eye making it slightly more obvious, before then turning his gaze back on Gareth.
Thomas smirked at Jezin's comment, before shutting the door, locking it. Thomas then turned to the other two knights, and nodded, who then took Alia and Jorun to their own cells. Jorun's identical to Jezin's, while Alia's was far larger, with a wool bedroll on top of an actual bed stand. Once the servants had been led to their cells, and the doors locked, the two other knights made their exit, leaving Thomas alone in the cramped hallway. Thomas sighed, rolling his shoulders as he did so. Now would be a good time to alert Sophia to his actions, as she was the charge of Sophia. He would likely have to delegate two or three knights to her protection as well. Thomas made his exit from the prison hallway, making way to the Great Hall, the last place he saw Sophia. After a bit of walking, he entered the nearly vacant Great Hall. Two other Order of the Thistle knights were already present, standing guard near the rear of the Great Hall. After a moment of scanning, he was able to make out Sophia, who was carrying out a conversation with another woman, wearing a red jacket with a seal. Thomas had seen the seal before, people who wore it were typically couriers. Thomas wondered what exactly the woman had been delivering. The inner machinations of Thomas' mind began to turn. The package meant for Redwyne had apparently arrived earlier this morning, bearing the Lyoki snake, and here sat a courier talking to Sophia. Thomas smirkedas he watched the interaction for a moment. Left hand tight on Harmony's hilt, he began his way over to the pair.
The entourage made it back, quickly, to the Palace, taking the rear entrance of the grounds in order to get inside the Palace. Thomas did not wish to alert anyone that wasn't part of the actual government to his arrests, just quite yet. They would be put into cells for now, but Thomas knew he couldn't keep them there long, at least not Jezin. Something as prideful and as wild as Jezin would refuse long-term containment, "You will be issued to separate cells. As a lady, therefore warranting more respect, you will have the biggest of the three cells, along with an appropriate bed roll." Thomas said, pointing his finger back at Alia. Thomas doubted the kindness would be acknowledged, or even appreciated, but Thomas was going to act as he saw fit. Thomas eventually came to a large metal door, and opened it. On the other side was a long, small hallway, with cells placed 15 feet apart from each other. There appeared to only be cells on one side of the room, and there appeared to be 5 cells. Thomas walked up to the first one, and unlocking the large metal door for the cell, then opened it up to reveal a small room with a cloth placed over a small hay pile. Thomas looked over to Jezin, and waited for the man to enter the room.
"The time will come, Gareth, where important things will rest on your shoulders. I know you'll do the right thing." Walden said, with supreme confidence in his voice. He burped once more, and laughed. "Well, I shouldn't keep you any longer, Mister Harker! You have your own things to do, and own places to be! If you ever need anything you can just ask me, remember that." Walden added, goofy smile adorning his jolly face. A worried face then came on Walden's face, "I almost forgot, Mister Harker! I had a sword brought up from the armory for you." He said, reaching behind a nearby bookcase, pulling out a light purple scabbard, adorned down both sides with imprints of white thistles, to signify Gareth's position in the Order. The sword itself was just slightly shorter than the typical longsword. He handed the sword over to Gareth, "Now, it's not anything special. Magic wasn't used to forge this weapon, nor did someone work on it day and night for 4 weeks to create this sword. It is a simple sword, made directly from the Order of the Thistle's personal smithy. A good, reliable sword for a good, reliable user." Walden said with a smile. Walden had no intention of Gareth using the sword over his bow, as it took a long time to perfect the art of sword play, but he intended it to be more of a ceremonial weapon, and a impromptu self-defense weapon.
As he nodded, Sir Lucas and Sir Sven manacled Jorun and Alia. Thomas himself manacled Jezin, his one eye meeting Jezin's eyes as he did so, "Sir Bull, gather Jezin's weapons and take them to the armory for holding." Thomas commanded, which Sir Bull nodded to and set about gathering the weapons. "Sir Sven, lead the horses back, we'll head back to the Palace on foot." Thomas commanded. As Sven tied ropes from the other horses saddles, to his own horses saddles, Thomas look at Jezin, a smirk decorating his face, but said nothing. Thomas then took a step back, nodding to the only two remaining knights, to which they responded by placing Jorun and Alia on either side of Jezin. "Thank you for your cooperation." Thomas said, as he turned his back to Jezin, and began the walk back to the Palace, with the two knights staying at the back of their three prisoners.
Walden smiled at Gareth's guess he was not made of the material needed to be a hero, "If their is one piece of advice I can give you, Gareth, it's this." Walden started, taking a long drink from his wine before giving said advice, "A hero doesn't have to be strong, or brave. He doesn't have to be smart, or quick. He doesn't even have to be an adult. A hero requires one thing, and one thing only. Doing the right thing." Walden said, with his toothy smile now back on his face, "Out of everyone in this whole damn Palace, I think you're the only one that has the potential to be a hero, Gareth." Walden righted himself, and finished off his wine glass, letting out a small burp as he did so.
