Ash recoiled as the boy reacted to the word she had used. 'Contained'. Obviously a sore subject for the boy. It just entered Ash's head that not everyone had lived relatively normal lives like she had. The people here could of been through things she couldn't of imagined, "I'm sorry." Ash responded, burying her head slightly into her knees, still watching the boy. Ash wondered what exactly the boy had been through. Whatever it was, it was bad enough to illicit a very emotionally charged response.
Ash didn't reply to Jason's offer. It wasn't that Ash didn't want to respond, but because she didn't know how to respond. Laying all her spare clothes out, which was actually quite a small amount for the normal girl, she turned around and sat on the bed, finally fully facing Jason. Ash brought her feet up on the bed, once more drawing her knees up to her chest. Ash wrapped her arms around her knees, seemingly making a protective ball, "We're special." Ash said, from behind her makeshift protective shield of her arms and legs, "Maybe whoever the person is who wanted us here is trying to contain us." Ash added, as she kept her eyes on Jason, examining his figure. Something about the young man made Ash slightly uncomfortable, which Ash tried her absolute best to hide.
Ash froze up for a moment as Jason addressed her, asserting that he knew how she felt. Ash unzipped her bag, and started unpacking her clothes, keeping her back facing Jason. Even now, Ash was shaking slightly, but she was doing her best to hide it from Jason. This wasn't the first time someone had told her that they knew how she feel, and knew who she really was. By now, Ash had started ignoring people that spouted that kind of thing, but something in Jason's voice made it sound as if he really meant what he said. Ash attempted to speak up, but couldn't find the right words to respond to Jason. After a moment of fiddling with the contents of her bag, pretending to be busy unpacking, Ash slightly turned around to look back at Jason, "Thank you." Ash said, quietly, keeping her gaze on Jason for a few moments longer before going back to the contents of her bag. Ash felt slightly relieved that someone seemed to care about her here, and actually was attempting to try to relate to her.
Ash wandered aimlessly, losing herself in the manor a few times before finally coming across a slightly agape door. A diamond caught Ash's eye, giving Ash a sense of relief that she had managed to finally find her room. Unfortunately, she always saw the gemstone of her roommate. An emerald. Ash froze for a moment, trembling like a leaf as she stood in the hall. Frozen in a panic-like state. She could hear movement inside the rooms, signifying that Jason had found the room well before her. Summoning up what courage she could, Ash pushed the door open slightly, and slinked into the room, trying her best to appear as small and unimposing as possible. Ash kept her eyes on the ground as she walked into the slightly dark room, slowly making her way to her bed, and placing her bag on the bed.
Ash's rising panic quickly lowered as she was addressed by a friendly person. Had it been Roxy, or even Jason, it would be likely that Ash would of had a heart attack. Ash watched the demonstration of Kara's powers with a small smile. Ash recoiled slightly, however, when asked about her powers, ~ That's right, I'm around people like me. I can show my powers. ~ Ash thought, as she quietly returned her feet to the ground, starting to become somewhat comfortable. Ash pulled the sleeve of her hoodie back on her right arm, revealing her skin to Kara. Within an instant, 4 inches of thick diamond materialized over the exposed skin. Ash smiled slightly, happy that she could show off the power with no repercussion, "I can do this pretty much all over my body. It's really good at protecting me." Ash replied, as the diamond skin seemed to skin back into herself, disappearing completely. As Ash did so, a twinge of pain flashed on her face for a second, before being replaced by her normal passive look.

Ash snapped her head to the girl known as Genevieve, whom began to read a letter from the manor's owner. Ash listened intently as she did so, almost grimacing at the contents of the letter. After the letter had been read, Ash stood up, and started to make her way out of the room, quickly so that she could be the first one out, and so that she could avoid further social interaction, if she could. Ash exited the room, and looked around outside, determining to herself where the rooms would be located at. After a moment of deliberation, Ash trudged off, to go find a room.
I'd like it if Ash and Jason roomed together. I think the two would have a pretty cool relationship.
I'll go ahead a wait for you! I'd rather wait than go on.
Ash listened quietly as the rest of the people talked, but the tension from the confrontation between Roxy and Jason still ate at her. This feeling was only compounded when she realized that Roxy had vanished as well. Ash looked around the room, scanning everyone, before allowing her gaze to fall to the floor. Ash starting to rock back and forth on her chair, slightly, as if she couldn't stand her nervousness. Ash wanted to leave the manor already, or at least get up and go to whatever room or place the owner of the manor wanted his guests to stay at. She couldn't take it in the room much longer.
"And I'm Tessa. I'm also new." Tessa butted into the introductions, beaming her typical smile to Erin. While the glowing mark on Erin's face definitely intrigued her, there was no way she was going to ask about it, or be rude and stare at it. Tessa got her food, two sandwiches, a canned soda, a apple, a banana, two small cartons of milk, and finally she grabbed a small bag of chips and placed it on the tray she had grabbed. It was a feat all it's own that Tessa managed to keep such an amazing figure if this is what she ate on a daily basis. As she talked to Erin, and Ruby, she paid for her food, before looking for a place to sit, "Why don't you come sit with us, Erin? Three's company!" Tessa said, as she turned to look at Ruby. Tessa instantly felt a wave of guilt as she saw how nervous Ruby was. Was inviting Erin to sit with them really a good idea? Tessa gave Ruby a reassuring wink, to let her know that everything would be okay. Tessa waited for the other two, before making her way to an open space at one of the tables, and sitting down.
Tessa felt truly comfortable and at home for the first time in a couple of years as she led Ruby to the cafeteria, "I'm sure my bag will be fine, I doubt anyone would want it." Tessa said with a chuckle. Nothing but school supplies that she kept with her for 'just in case' scenarios. As the pair entered the cafeteria through a set of double doors, Tessa released Ruby's hand, "Here we are!" Tessa beamed towards Ruby. Thoughts of what Tessa was going to grab to eat was already flying through her mind, the thoughts tantalizing in nature, and sent Tessa into an ecstasy-like state as she played with the thoughts of what kind of food combinations she could have. She slowly made her way towards the area of the cafeteria where one would get their food, making sure Ruby was keeping up with her.
