This game opens with you waking up in a strange place with little to no memory of how they got there as well as quite the headache. Come to think of it they can’t even remember their own name or where they live. Certain items you can recall as well as skills, almost as if selective memories have been blocked by some strange means.

In your hand is a small note tell you part of a contest of sorts. The object of the “Game” is to survive a certain amount of time while collecting a few items. But here is the kicker, there are others Players in the arena as well. It is up to you if you wish to group together, go it alone, or even kill them all. Players may likely die, this will give the strong survival feel but should make the “Game” quite enjoyable and keep Players on their toes.

In addition to items that might be found among the arena area, you have been given a special gift. In your right arm a device has been surgically implanted that will imbue you with a special ability beyond your possible dreams fueled by a powder called M.A.D that has been hidden around the arena. Think you can survive to the end? Will you use brute force and tear through the arena? Will you forge an alliance that sees you to the end with few death strokes? Or will you simply find a way to kill all the others around you?

Think hunger games meets limited magic.

Building a Character

Name: (You have a metal wristband on your non-dominate hand that has an etched token, this is your name. You are free to make up you own or roll a 1d50 and choose from the list below)

Appearance: (A brief description of what you look like to get a picture of your Character, an image is also acceptable.)

Personality: (A brief description of how your Character acts normally, as much as you can remember that is to say.)

Last Memory: (This is the last thing you remember before being abducted.)

Possible Occupation: (This is what you think you did before being taken, the details are fuzzy. With the acquisition of M.E.L.D. your memories are restored and you gain more skills in game. A small write up may be made public, but a more in-depth of who your character thinks they are should be made private for the DM.)

Ability Roll: You will roll a 1d100 to be assigned an unknown power as well, thanks to the infusion of M.A.D once you awaken. This ability will be boosted through the game as you kill others, find more M.A.D powder, or just really kick ass roleplaying.

** A note on combat, a combination of simple wrting and dice will be used in PvP combat. Reasonable attacks that can't be blocked should hit the target. I prefer if then attack statements such as, "...My fist launches forward, aiming to strike John Doe in the face in the hopes of crushing his nose." instead off "...I smash John Doe in the face, causing blood to spurt out all over that fine white suit."

Questions?
@MelonHead Alright I have the 'Improved" Allomancer back up and running. I think she is mostly T3 with a few abilities that might make her T4. Anyone want a match to test her out?
@Doc Doctor I have an Allomancer/Feruchemist character that will very likely die by fighting this guy, but I'd like to try. I'll get the sheet up today. Yea he seems pretty strong and sounds terrifying in combat :)
Human tier is like the old tier one correct? Human abilities, of near peak level? I have a lesser Lizardman I could thrown out. Most of my (old) characters are medium-low powered, some special abilities with different combat specialties.
@Natsucooldude

You make some very valid points!

I had the idea of perhaps a group of four or so banding together and winning the game. I was going to have additional M.A.D or M.E.L.D be rewarded with each death, but with out the elimination requirement the entire group might simply work together, and kill off any of the NPC or Arena threats. This will need to be altered, and I am open to ideas :)

The supernatural abilities are rolled at random, so someone can't pick what they want. But the limitations would indeed need to be stated along with the power reveal once they have rolled. I was thinking each ability would have a simple statement as how it could be used. Example: You gain the ability to launch a fireball up to 10 feet doing (x) damage, however you take (x) damage of cold due to the exertion. Let me know what you think about that and how it could be tweaked.

Lastly I do understand and agree with you about the system itself. I didn't want to leave it to pure writing, because inevitably with all PvP there is one writer whos attacks are always "I hit him in the face", instead of "I aim for his face". However the dice rolls are all that are really needed.

Thank you for the feedback, I am very much open to the idea of altering the original design! Anyone have any thoughts or comments to make this a really fun game?

Dunno, our fight in the NoW is still available, but finding the CS's might be a little harder.

Hey Melon! Was that my Mass Effect guy Tanis and your Clockwork Man?

@Sikako J

We could have a good warmup match to get your engine oil boiling again.

Sure! I don't have any sheets up yet, what or who would you like to use?
Hey arena peeps. Sikako j stopping back by. Been a few years, but looking around and checking if anyone would like to give me a chance to dust of some of my..well dust. I take it there is no way to recover anything from the original site, characters sheets mostly?
*secret-ish*
Might give me a chance to throw out ole' Lucky "Nine-fingers" Sparks, the Irish bomb maker. Has a real love of explosioves, demolition, and shotguns.
This sounds very interesting :)
