@Legion02The nudge was what had chased away the dreams of her dead mother. Bringing her back from the hazy of sleep, to the reality which was before her. She expected to see Splatter's playful round face. Instead the frightening sight of gleaming silver met her pink eyes. Fear, sharp fear, sparked through her. Shinning from her pink eyes. Widening the eyes that were elegantly embellished with long, dark, lashes. She could not move, her body refused. The fear of the weapon in front of her eyes froze her. Thalassa felt like her stomach was filled with stones. Causing her to sink beneath the bitter waves of fear. Disappearing into the darkness. Her eyes slowly traveled up the blade. The light from the cave's glowing plant life shimmering off the steel. Her eyes Coming to meet the human she had saved. Father was right, humans were dangerous. They would only kill you if given the chance. That's what he had told her. She had always wished to give humans the benefit of the doubt.... But now she was going to die.

Slowly, in what she though would be her last moments. She studied the males handsome face. Noting each small detail. The human looked confused,
Shaken beneath a mask that tried to deceive her. For some reason, as she looked into his eyes. She was calmed. Never before had she unfrozen in such a manner. It was shocking it her. That she was able to speak. "Please don't hurt me" the words were not a command. But a quiet plead instead. Being a princess, she had never before had to ask for her life. The guards had always been there to protect her.

She had always been a bit 'flinchy' when it came to strangers. Those she did not know, where hard for her to trust at all. And more than often, she felt as though she was in harms way. She had to remind herself that her father would not let her come to harm. However, she was on her own now, with Splatter sleeping besides her. If she spoked to loudly, she would wake the seal... And if he saw this human threatening her. She could not hold him back. But she also knew, that he would stand no choice against a blade. The playful seal had no natural weapons of his own. He was not a killer in nature. He wouldn't be able to fight. If he was killed, she would be heart broken.

@Legion02
She held the helpless creature close to her as they swam off. Wishing to object. But by the time that the courage had finally came to her, to speak... They were already swimming off. Disappearing through the ocean, leaving her alone with the human. Glancing down at him, she knew it was only a matter of time before the bubble ran out of air. She had to return to Splatter as quickly as she could. Although figuring a position to hold him in was difficult, for he was nearly two times her size. The moment he was shifted properly into her arms, she zipped through the water. Bubbles exploding behind her in a trail of shimmering pearls. He was limp in her thin arms, his breath soft and steady. Against her own chest. The corals around her grew more and more familiar. As she recognized the coral kingdom that she had explored since she was a small child. The fish and sea creatures, who normally swarmed playfully around her, raced from her path. Scared by the strange alien that lay limp in her arms. Her hair shrouded her face as she came to a stop above the darkness of the ravine. It's blue strands if hair waved around her, painted with yellow at the tips, allowing her to stand out from the water. She glanced around, to make sure that no one was watching. Before dipping down into the darkness. Being careful to keep the jagged rocks away from the soft skin of the man. Merging into the darkness of the tunnel, the gleaming light from the small cave glowed through the water in shivering lines fading through the darkness. The air bubble popped in a wave of salty breeze as she broke the surface. Splatter's eyes gleamed at the familiar sight of her. But suddenly grew aggressive as he saw the male. "Shhhh," Thalassa whispered "It's okay Splatter, he needs help" she assured him softly. Slowly he slunk back into his sea grass bed. Whimpering in disagreement. He clearly didn't trust the two legged creature. Trying her best not to scrape the fragile skin of this creature, she hauled him up onto the small rock island. On the the other side away from Splatter. She laid the human down onto a small extra bed she had prepared earlier. Than slipped onto the rock, moving to Splatter. The seal nudged her shoulder gently. Nuzzling her with his whisker surrounded nose. He was worried, she could tell. The seal had grown protective over her. And if he were better, she would go no where without him. "I'm fine Splatter" she assured him, her voice quiet, as she gently rubbed his back. His blubber was rubbery to the touch, but dry and smooth. She curled up on the seaweed bed. Slowly starting to drift off as she curled close to Splatter. Her tail curling close to her as she drifted off to sleep.

"Mommy I's scared" she whimpered up to her mother, cuddling close to the comfort of her mothers chest. The water was dark as they sat in her bedroom. The little girls eyes caught on the window. Where she could see lighting whipping from above the surface. "It'll be okay Lass" her mother's voice was gently, quiet and soft. And her mother's fingers were caring as they pulled through the child's blue silk like hair. "God will protect us" she whispered, Slowly as she ripped her wide eyes away from the Storm ocean. And to the gentle gaze of her loving mother. "Wats Gwod look like?" She asked her mother, curiosity helping mask the fear from the Storm. Her mother smiled, and took a moment to think. Careful of what she said, as to not scare the girl. "God... Is the father of us all. He is the one who makes the waves move, and the wind howl. He is the one who created all of us, and put the fish in the ocean. He watched over us, and takes care of us." The mother assured her child "Tan why is he letting Iwts be scwary?" She asked innocently. "One of gods children has died Lass, he is only crying" her mother whispered, rocking her child gently, holding the small three year old to her chest. "Why has they dwied?" The curiosity of a child was a never ending pooling of excitement and magic. Always wishing to know more. "Sometimes age takes the lives of his children, and sometimes his child hurt one another" the child's pink eyes widened with shock. "B-But why's mommy?!" She asked, to a child, the idea of murder to a child was not even comprehendible. Her mother slowly shook her head. "Guilty, regret, revenge, and greed can make anyone not themselves."

On the Edge of War

The peace that had fallen between the dragons and mankind was very thin. Everyone accepted this, that the balance between war and peace has been, and always will be easy to shatter. And now. a foolish outcast has decided to toy with this palace. Dragons use to stay in their forests. Until, a small group of royals, unknown to the king and queen of the Sunscales and Nightmares. Has used their unique power, to transform from their dragon form into humans, to bring chaos. Terrorizing villages, and slaughtering innocent. Toying with their prey, before devouring them. The king has been reduced to one option. If the Human king was to send his men to hurt these beasts, a war between humans and dragons would break out. A war that humans would undoubtly loose. So has sent requests out. To gather a hero from each village. And create a group of men(or women) to travel through the dense, dragon filled forests, to talk to the Sunscale King and Queen. Who will hopefully help them with this issue.

Foundation magic

Humans, the foundation of most other creatures, are the least gifted in any form of magic. They traded talent for capability, for each and every human can learn every branch of magic. Ranging from Druidism to Necromancy. Though the last is frowned on. The easiest for a human to learn is elemental magic. Controlling and casting spells with the aid of air, water, earth and fire.

Branches Of Magic

 • Water
 • Fire
 • Earth
 • Air
 • Restoration(Healing)
 • Illusion
 • Druidism
 • Necromancy

If you wish to create a branch of magic, please make sure it is okay'd with either me or my CO-GM

Draconic magic

Humans never learned this sort of deep rooted magic. They never got access to it, though to most dragons, it comes natural. It manifests itself in breathing fire, ice or acid. Or in commanding the rays of the sun or moon. It is strongly connected to an inner burning 'flame' and the will of a dragon. Among dragons, a true limit to this power has yet to be found. So far the only existing barriers have been a lack of will for something. In the rare Occasions when Humans and Dragons become allies, and become a sort of dragon Cult, the dragons may reward the humans with a tiny bit of what is called Shared Flame. Which allows the human to cast Draconic Magic.

About Dragons

Most often, dragons live in solitary. Claiming small areas of land in which they hunt in and raise their offspring. Larger dragons may allow smaller dragons to live within their territory if they follow certain terms. Depending mostly on personality, some live in small packs of 2-5. Females are in season to breed only once a year. And like most things, this time depends on what breed the dragon is. Females normally have a single egg that takes three months to hatch. While some females have clusters of eggs, ranging from as low as 2, to as high as 10. Once hatched, the mother will provide for her offspring for nearly two years, until they have learned to defend themselves. Most mothers are caring. While others become cannibals the moment hunger creeps among them. One dragon year, is equal to almost 5 humans years. Giving dragons a longer life span. Within each type of dragon, there is one royal family. The royal families often have special abilities that normal dragons of their own kind would not have, they are able to take the form of humans. And have wings, while ordinary dragons do not have wings. Royal families live from one generation to the next, and stay close most of their lives. Living together in groups up to twenty.

Dragon Rider

Humans have exsisted only because dragons allow them. But because of certain humans wishing to eliminate these dragons, there has been a growing tension between the two races. Dragon Riders are very rare. There are three ways that a dragon and a human may become partners. The first is the human raising the dragon from a youngling. This is one of the best ways to become a dragon rider. It creates the deepest bonds between the rider and his/her dragon. Another way, how most pairs come to be, is that their is a human wishing to understand dragons, and a dragon wishing for a partner. This is most common in Metal Clank Dragons, because they find it an honor to be partners with a human. The last and finally way that one may become a dragon rider is through prophecy.

Species of Dragons

Metal Clank Dragon

Metal clank dragons are rather huge compared to other dragons. The males can reach up to twenty feet, but averagely only make it to 16 feet tall, while females range between 12-15 feet tall. And are 1.5 their height in length. Their scales are larger than average dragons. Made completely out of a substance that is stronger than steel. Giving them the appearance of armored dragons. When they walk, the clanking and clattering of their scales against each other echo's through the air. Giving them their name. These dragons have seemed to be made for riders. Because between their scaled shoulder blades, is a hollow space, a small bubble where their scales do not cover. This is their one weakness. However, dragon riders can weave riding leather and equipment into this gap, to make it easier to stay on their companion. While it also benefits the dragon by allowing them no weakness. Most other dragon would think it insane, but Metal Clank Dragons often go in Search of a rider. They see it as a honor to have a companion to help protect the weak humans with. Metal Clank Dragons have no special powers. They cannot breath any sort of fire. It is their armor that makes them so powerful, not to mention their brute strength. And often at the ends of their tails there are weapon shaped metal.

Toad Dragon

Toad dragons are normally not as thin as other dragons. They have a little extra meat on them, and instead of the usual rectangular nature of most dragons. They are more square when it comes to height vs. Length. Just barely longer than they are tall. They are a smaller breed of dragon, considered medium sized. The males can stand seven feet tall, while averagely the females only reach five feet. Instead if scales, these dragons have slick skin, like that of a toads. They have long, webbed toes, with frills on their cheeks, that beneath hold their ears. Their snout is short, and they have three feet long tongues. Although the length of their tongue may vary. Often living in swamps, these frog like dragons come in many different colors. With slime naturally coming from their pores, they are not To be touched. The poisonous level varies from little pain, to death. The more colorful the toad dragon, the more deadly their slime. Typically females are more poisonous than males. Toad dragons do not eat red meat like most dragons. So that means they do not eat people. Instead they eat fish, and bugs that they find in the swamps. Some have the ability to change the poisonous level of their slime, or have the ability to breath toxic gases.

Sunscale Dragons

Sunscale and Nightmare dragons are very similar. In body shape and size. Males are averagely 15 ft tall. While females are normally 10-12 feet tall. They are longer than they are tall, normally double their height in length. They are thin dragons, with curved spines, and long whip like tails. Their scales come in various shades of warm and bright colors or very bright shades of golden, orange, white, and red. They have a set of horns on the top back of their heads. Coming in various different types, from long and pointed, to wavy shaped, to even ram horns. Their claws, horns, and teeth are golden. Males are normally more muscular, but the females make up for their lack of size with weaponry. Females have large golden clubs on the back of their tails, like a mace. This species of dragon is very rare, being the one of the original dragons that all others descend from. Sunscales and Nightmares all have one king and queen. That rule over all other dragon. Together, the two sets of mates work together to keep the world balanced. Sunscales have different powers. Normally to do with light. Some can glow, some can bend light, some can even heat up. Many breath a golden fire, hot enough to melt rocks and steel within two feet of the fire. Some Sunscales also have the ability to slip into the dreams of others.

Nightmare Dragons

Sunscale and Nightmare dragons are very similar. In body shape and size. Males are averagely 15 ft tall. While females are normally 10-12 feet tall. They are longer than they are tall, normally double their height in length. They are thin dragons, with curved spines, and long whip like tails. Their scales come in various shades of black or very dark shades of green, blue, or grey. They have a set of horns on the top back of their heads. Coming in various different types, from long and pointed, to wavy shaped, to even ram horns. Their claws, horns, and teeth are silver. Males are normally more muscular, but the females make up for their lack of size with weaponry. The females are more aggressive than the males, with silver blade like spikes at the end of their tails. This species of dragon is very rare, being the one of the original dragons that all others descend from. Sunscales and Nightmares all have one king and queen. That rule over all other dragon. Together, the two sets of mates work together to keep the world balanced. Nightmares have the abilities ranging from blending into the shadows, to entering others dreams. Some even have the ability to breath pure dark energy.

Lich Dragons

Long before humans had built cities, a great breed of dragons roamed and ruled the mountains' frozen peaks. Each was even more proud than the other. They ever so often battled among each other, establishing dominance. Though after ages, the fights grew fiercer. Surrender was no longer an option. It were fights till dead. And thus, the dragon's ended their own breed. With a few who died in died of old age in exile.
A Lich found one of these exiled dragon's corpse and thought it would be a rather good idea to try and possess it. The physical result was horrible. The flesh melted away from the bones. A cold blue flame filled their chest and wrapped around the dragon's spine and limbs like tentacles. Eventually it spread towards the head, where it filled the skull. Though the Lich was not powerful enough to resist the Dragon's magical capabilities and thus perished. Giving its life force to re-awaken the dragon. This exiled dragon returned to his land, where he found his brothers and sisters, all dead. He shared parts of his own life force with the others. And soon a new breed of dragons were born. Though sadly, they could only be born from the dead of the old breed.

Earth Dragons

Earth dragons came in many different forms but more often than not the come in the form of a large Trex. Earth Dragons are a very old race of dragons, they build their nests in the earth itself by digging holes. Earth dragons are often quite large, with massively powerful mouths, and extremely tough skin, yet they are very agile on land. They are carnivores and more often than not end up eating any creature that comes into their territory. Earth dragon’s often have the ability to dig into the ground and even control the earth itself when needed. The royalty of the Earth Dragons don’t actually have wings, instead they have multiple horns and spines on their back, they even have the ability to turn themselves into a sort of bolder and role at high speeds even faster than normal earth dragons can run.

HydroSurge Dragons

The Hydrosurge Dragons live in hidden in surface caverns in the sea throughout the land. Males average to be 20ft tall and 32ft long, while females average at 17-18ft tall and 28-29ft long. Royalty Hydrosurge have wings, and very large horns, ranging from 5-6ft long. Hydrosurge have terribly strong jaws, and inside those jaws are 3 rows of 30 5inch razor sharp teeth awaiting for prey. Even though they are quite menacing, the Hydrosurge, are actually, quite friendly. Being very relaxed in territorial matters, they will let almost anything go through unless they sense it as a threat. They use their 9inch razor-like claws to dig into the rock in the side of caverns where they lay their eggs. They are only very territorial around the nest or the babies themselves. As defense mechanisms the can extend their claws, to a foot long, flash their tail frills, and blast water from their mouths at 90mph.

If you wish to make a dragon type, just pitch me the idea, and if I okay it, make a paragraph

@Legion02
The words of Arios beckoned her. Causing her to withdraw from hiding. From her perfect shelter, where she was safe from those prying eyes of any others. As she approached, she felt all the eyes lay on her. Some curious, wondering what she could do to help this situation. While some where unpleased, as if her very presence stank of a vile smell. Her shoulders pressed close to her, her hands closing onto one another. In a small and vain attempt to attack unphased by the many eyes staring into her very soul. This fear of many eyes upon her had always been with her. Since she was a young child. It had not grown any worse, or any better. The sharp glance of more than one person simply made her skin crawl, and heat up with embarrassment. She felt as though the water around her would turn to vapor from the heat that swelled beneath her chest. A swift second came when she glanced at the human. Unconscious among the waves, looking asleep. He was surprisingly peaceful looking, his soft lips slightly opened as he breathed. His skin slightly tanned from days in the sun. There was something about him, now that she could see his face clearly. That captivated him. That caught her interest,
And sparked her mind to life. She could not take her eyes off of him. He was simply to... Mesmerizing. She had never seen anything like this. Even the simplest of features among his body intrigued her. His tail, for example. Why was it in two pieces? Maybe that was what allowed them to walk correctly on land. Instead of slithering like a Naga. Finally her eyes drew back to Arios and a whisper escaped "What do you need?"
Thalassa

@Legion02
Thalassa at first thought that loud splash was one of the dolphins. The splatter was loud, and when the dolphins suddenly scattered... She knew something large had entered the water. The thing the ocean had tried to warn of. Dreading to think it might be a shark, she glanced up, and bubbles escaped in a gasp of shock. A human. In the water. Never before had she seen one so close, even if it was quite a length above her. Clearly it was some sort of male... And among mermaid standards, a handsome male. Without a second of hesitation she hid beneath the coral. Out of view of the human. For a moment her mind reeled, where was Arios? Why wasn't he doing something... As she watched the male, she found he was sinking. Thrashing helplessly through the water... Could it not swim? Her heart thumped in her chest. She was horrified of these creatures, but could she stand idly by and watch it be consumed by the waters. It's struggles were desperate, tugging violently at her heart. Could she swim away, and allow him to die? If she did... Would she ever be happy with herself? Thalassa helped whatever animal needed it. Just like how she had helped Splatter with his injured fin.
@Legion02Thalassa felt something was greatly off as she joined the patrol. Something in the waves, a itching darkness that pulsed through the rolling waves of salty water. Thalassa was certain something would go wrong, but this feeling was chased away the moment that she saw the dolphins. Although her connection with tropical fish, such as the ones at the reef, was much greater, she got along with any sea creature. Dolphins were no exception. She zipped through the water, towards the pod of slick creatures. The wooden hull of the ship cut through the water, and she was careful not to get to close to the surface. Just enough below the starboard side of the side to be unseen. The dolphins splashed in and out of the water. Clicking and playing with the princess. She laughed, as they spun around her, clicking at her to join them. And so she did. Being cautious of course, she zipped through the water with them in the depths. Curling through the warm waves and spinning. Dancing with the dolphins through the water. The threat of humans was still on her mind. Simply stored in the back, where she was still aware of it. But it was not stopping her from swimming. Though her cautious nature was still clear, as she did not come close to piercing the sight of men.
