I thought you were with the group fighting the Molboroba and not the group with the baby Molbo.

There's about 100 year distance between both groups and also a ton of trees in the way of seeing each other.

Oh well I guess xD
Mikone's eyes sparkled in the light. This was another moment to prove herself and outdo her peers. But at the same time she felt nervous. Walking up a tree was way different than holding a kunai still. Nonetheless she was gunna try and fail at the very least. Looking at Masatake run up and mark his spot, she wondered how he was going to get to the top, or rather when.

"Ok. So no tools except to mark the spot. Got it." She pulled out a shuriken from her pocket. It was obvious that she wasn't planning on using it for a fight, proved the earlier test. However, this was one of those moments when it was gunna be useful to her for once.

Mikone remembered that feeling of holding the kunai. It was similar in application but now reversed since she would be the one sticking to something.

Breathing in a moment before attempting, Mikone picked a tree then tried clearing her mind. She closed her eyes to channel chakra through her thighs, then knees, then shins, and last her feet. The flow moved inside her like a stream ending at pools in the soles of her feet. When she took a step forward she connected to the earth underneath her. Just like using one of her ninjutsu, the feel of the earth below her extended outward like pressing down on a sponge and seeing the earth wrinkle with each step. When she raised her leg up she opened her eyes. The ground wasn't the same as the tree at all but similar, like cousins to each other.

This was a moment of faith more than anything. Picturing her actions before she made them, it seemed like she wasn't going to do it, but then she let her weight sit on her raised leg. A surprising amount of strength went into just transition from one surface to another. Yet there she was able to anchor herself to the wall, slowly but surely taking the second step onto the bark. She could look directly into the air, like star gazing but instead a the clouds. Not trying to scare herself she pictured the world turned on it side. The tree was right side up and she was walking forward and not up. Keeping her pace slow she was able to move, higher and high a single step at a time until she reached nearly ten feet from the ground.

However, the earth pulled at her. Like a cautious mother it wasn't going to let its child stray from its side. But there Mikone was defying the earth's pull. Only ten steps until the top. Moving around a tree branch she was able to keep herself anchored. Then the top of the tree was in view. Holding up her arm she had the shuriken ready. With a little hole in the center she would place it on the tip of the tree.

Inches away from the very top her footing was comparable to standing at the end of a plank. The tree swayed as she walked closer. Bending forward and closer to the tree Mikone was able to place the item at the top. All that was left to do was walk back down. Turning her head slightly she kept the image in her head. Running back into the arms of earth's pull wasn't a good idea unless she planned on breaking a bone. So she took it slowly careful not to move too quickly this time. When she turned around she could see the bend of the tree. Her weight pulled on the top of the tree so that it was curved.

Breathing in again she paused just long enough to feel the slipping. If she didn't keep it then her chakra would cause her to fall instead of stick. Bringing in the reins of control, she moved down the tree slowly, less quickly than walking up. Getting to the middle allowed the tree to unbend. She felt safer in the center where the width was considerable compared to the top.

"And now... turn." Mikone reached one foot forward to step on the dirt. Without letting go of her chakra she stuck to the dirt too and felt it soak up the stream flowing through her body. Angling her body back up and letting gravity tilt her she released her chakra control. Her muscles ached with a sudden heaviness. The whole time she was tense and serious but getting out of the mindset and feeling relaxed revealed how difficult it was.

"I'll.. I'll have to get that down later, won't I?"
OHHHHH, I have an insane idea but its ALMOST verging on godmodding...

tell me :o

@SiliconColt How about the sword simply fell to the ice instead of being eaten. I honestly have no idea what to do without it. Maybe punch it's body from the ice? Meh, sounds stupid.

stupid but technically the same damage mechanically, if you want to make it so your weapon is bonus strength you'll spend character growth on it. otherwise its just a cosmetic piece, that's pretty much how I've set up having more than one form of attack at the start of the rp.

Masks give you double what a weapon does since you transform into something but only lasts 6 rounds. Inherited Weapons on the other hand do +1 strength at their appropriate range. Because your mask is the bonus, even without your sword you fists do as much damage as before.

Pallus's telekinesis could pretty much be him punching and kicking with the same damage effectiveness... then there's Rida who has a butt load of strength for her summons yet could still knock a monster down with her fists, despite that not being how the character is written.

<Snipped quote by Crimson Raven>

Pallus could use you as death fodder and hurl you at the Octoroaka

that sounds fun.

When the battle ends, which it probably will next round, everyone who participated can undergo mechanical growth.

Then depeding on the enemy you can earn various other rewards like rupees, heart pieces, strength bangles, magic potions, and much more. In the case of octoroaka I'm planning on giving everyone the party 5 Heart Containers, 3 Strength Bangles, and 160 Rupees to split among themselves.

Because there's only 5 heart containers and 3 strength bangles, everyone has to talk among themselves to decide who gets what. It helps us understand each other a bit more in character. Someone taking more than one reward would be seen as a total jerk who's being selfish unless someone was giving up their reward.

Its not just bosses that drop these sorts of items, its also npcs who can give you something interesting. I'll probably talk to Cas about a very special potion which grants +1 point in a person's magic stat. It could become a quest to get very specific ingredients and return them to the potion merchant.

In the future there's going to be a merchant who sells items that characters can use like shields, swords, and ammunition. They have a certain number of uses but many can be upgraded or repaired to make them better.

One item which Im planning on you guys purchasing in bulk is the mighty bomb. Yes bombs, exploding and destroying all the false walls!

The dungeon that I'm designing requires them to be used, but just like the games they can be found growing in the wild (for some weird reason bomb plants have evolved and flourished despite the environmental hazard they are.)
Its a standoff to see who will post first.

i believe that it would be meta game but...

10 hearts. that's all it has left.

SHOW ME YOUR MOVES :o
Well, thinking more on it, the sword beam in FD mode is not a magic spell, but dependent on his health, So it wouldn't take any magic, but for the purposes of this RP, we could make their strength dependent on his magic stat.

that's what i was thinking too, since it was a long range ability and kinda magic anyway. Also, your weapon is currently slicing up someone's digestive system soooo it's hurting it from the inside right now... could you imagine swallowing a knife? that shit would hurt so bad.

You can retrieve it if you... jump inside the mouth... o_O or manage to punch your way through the skin... ok that would be gross. I think I'll do something to get it back to you.

On another note, I hoped to start some team synchronization. I'm not going to force actions together again so I hope we can start doing it ourselves with various combo attacks that we think of on the spot.
@siliconcolt all of the above, I like how you changed our actions, but i dont like that you did but its fine, you are the GM.

<Snipped quote by SiliconColt>

I think it's fine, I like how everyone interacted considering there is absolutely no teamwork involved. The only thing I don't like, is how you made Araris lose his sword.

*writes these reactions down in a notebook*

hmm ok. I will keep these in mind. thank you for filling out the survey.
Choosing the right path, they headed through thick trees and low branches. Ducking several times they found it easier to crawl in some parts. This path hadn't been used in years.

"An old trade route?" Kanobu asked quietly.

As they traveled around Gallade and Ralts discovered a demon ahead. This one was unware of them, walking in a slow sway left and right as it moved along the path. Hiding seemed possible but that choice was left to Gallade and Ralt's master who would be made aware first.

That word she used to describe those following her, Magpie, had Leon thinking. Worried more than anything he knew predators hunted for food. Yet it was much different for sentient creatures. Hunters of people planned their battles ahead of time. So naturally Leon thought about when the Magpie were planning their battle. It seemed obvious, to the young man, that a huge group of allies just made hiding a lot harder. Leon wondered if she was counting on their great number to hide her. Among the people were a mix of people: a gladiator, a couple odd entities, and even more people the young man hadn't meet.

Time passing to the night reminded him of the long journey he'd been completed to arrive at the cafe. Sleeping among men wasn't exactly comforting but he was safe among them. When morning came by he was just as ready. A bad habit but an easy one, Leon slept in his clothes with his items in pockets of his clothing. It made it easier to move on a moments notice and he just couldn't have fallen asleep without it all on his person. It didn't help the morning back ache though!

Seeing Kettle he was ready to speak with her. Yet she seemed busy managing this... this circus of odd personnel. Settling for a wave and groggy good morning he found his morning ration of vegetable in one of his pockets. Not exactly the most sanitary place to keep something, his clothes smelled a bit odd from some of the other hidden things. The air in the morning was a little chill compared to the previous day's afternoon so the hunter threw up his fur hood. Looking and hobbling around in the outdoors he spotted Grom and Kettle. It seemed she was eager to move.

"After ten months was it? No ten years... yeah ten years.. you would have thought she just heard about it yesterday." Leon said to himself watching the woman from a couple meters away. Thinking about why she looked so energized made more and more sense as he thought about it. "Did she even sleep.? I know I wouldn't if I spent ten years looking for something and it was just over there."
The genjutsu worked on the demon. So in its rush it fell flat on its face. Kanobu and his demons were careful to avoid it while moving around the body. (Dat ralts assist though.)

The forest was big with many trees everywhere. In a place very easy to get lost at night, Kanobu wondered how well the others knew the way back to Konoha. Coming to a forest path they had to choose two seemingly identical directions.

"Which way do you think it is?" Kanobu seemed tired and unable to determine it for himself. "Left or right?"

(So Im gunna be giving you a lot of choices in this next section)
Listening to Kuro made her wonder if her father would have trained her. Imagination took hold with Mikone thinking of doing push ups and other physical exorcises. Knowing that she'd done not so well in the other tests was getting to her, that was until she heard her teacher speak. Realizing that when her teacher said this test was supposed to be painful, Mikone was embarrassed as she had her pointed upward instead. letting it fall in her palm, she held it losly. Its weight felt very different compared to keeping it stable with chakra. Maybe she could use that to her advantage one day.

"No sensei." She said trying to stay on her teacher's good side. She wanted to ask about his reason for taking on another genin but she waited, patiently.
