Jack Thor-Team Building

"Raise your head shonen young man. Helping one another is what teammates do. Although I see that you will be needing a new HFV." He said, looking up at the ruined mess of machinery towering above them. "And perhaps one of my Special Training Courses. You will need to learn how to fight as part of our team if you wish to once again fly with us."

Just then his Team Dad senses went off he noticed the good Father standing by her own battlecraft, her posture speaking of one who has just had their soul savaged. He wordlessly motioned for Henry to follow as he made his way across the hanger.

Assuming that Joan missed the sound of boots on the metal floor her first real clue about her visitors was the large and calloused hand that gently laid itself on her shoulder.
All the better for normal posts.
Colabs have their place, but there is not much point to do one now.

I have nothing wrong with interaction but I feel that regular posting would be better at the moment.
Jack Thor-Coming Home

As the final shots were being fired in the skirmish/dogfight (it really depended on which side you were asking,) Jack was slowing down and communicating with Control about his landing approach into the Jannah's bay. It lacked the speed of a normal combat landing. With the pirates retreating the large man in the small Ball figured that it would be better to be safe than sorry.

With a deft touch he floated through the entrance of the landing bay, jets pointed in harmless directions until a crane came along and magnetically grasped his vehicle. Another took hold of his passenger, taking it away to where a team of expectant technicians were standing.

As he was carried over to The Ball's specially designed cradle Jack went through the shutdown list. It was almost ritualistic for him. As each function of the war machine shut down it removed him step by step from the battlefield he had left behind. The adrenaline coursing through his veins petered off and stopped, his breathing returned to normal and his clenched muscles relaxed.

With a small whine his ride shut down completely just as it settled into the cradle. Jack opened the hatch and clambered out, sending a friendly wave at the mechanics already beginning to swarm over the vehicle as he did so.

"Nothing for you to fix today friends! Now, my apologies but I must go see how a comrade is doing."

His wide frame moved with surprising grace towards the remains of the Yukine.
Beryl Harken

"Well, as long as his physical head is still attached to his body." Was all that Beryl had to say to that. There was nothing she could say to get the other girl to soften up in the next five minutes. It hardly helped that Beryl felt like the berserker caged within Gratia's icy exterior was salivating when it looked at her.

Turning, she looked Bianca over with a clinical stare, almost as if she was assessing the work the doctors had done on her. After a couple seconds of scanning her face lit up with a smile and she leaned in to gently hug the bedridden Faunus. One hand carefully avoided the wings while the other absentmindedly placed the vase of purple flowers on the small bedside table.

"I'm glad you are looking better, Bianca."
Nice.

Also your drawing speed boggles the mind.
Glad to hear you still have everything.
Jack Thor-WE NEED TO GO FASTER

The shriek of an alarm alerted Jack to the incoming piece of of high velocity metal. Burdened as he was by the Yukine and it's pilot his options were limited. The more extreme evasive maneuvers the large man would have otherwise utilised usually required more G forces than he was comfortable putting his cargo through.

The added mass hardly helped matters either.

With a grunt he shifted the Ball and it's cargo onto a vector that had them roughly half a kilometer from their previous course before the railgun round screamed by. A tiny distance in the vastness of space that was nonetheless enough to avoid a very sudden and nasty death.

As he began a series of random darts and curves Jack switched from the exclusive Paper Tiger network to a direct line with the boy he was carrying.

"Just hang in there kiddo, we're almost home."
Teamwork

It was as if the cold void has spit his words right back in his face. The battle had barely started before a fellow pilot was almost killed. And no matter how much his instincts screamed for him to dive in and rescue the boy Jack knew it would only mean death.

But that was what teammates were for.

The rest of Paper Tiger quickly burst into action, drawing away and distracting the pirates swarming the Yukine enough for the Sword Shroud to swoop in and rescue the beleaguered HFV.

He was already swooping towards the pair when The Persian's voice reached out across the emptiness on electronic waves to sound within the cockpit of The Ball.

"WITH PLEASURE!" Came the resounding call as the spherical combat repair vehicle matched speeds with it's fellow team member. The magnetic grabber arms clasped onto what remained of the Yukine and The Ball's considerable number of thrusters opened up to full, adding to their previous speed and sending Jack and his new charge even faster into the protective envelope of the Jannah's guns.
Wonderful to know.

On a totally unrelated note, Beryl is equally good against both Grimm and people.
