Herik barely reached the table before Ellie grabbed him and they were gone. His stomach lurched, he vomited on the concrete, the fresh air cleared out his lungs, and his eyes stopped burning. He coughed up the rest of his breakfast and looked up through blurry eyes just to not see Ellie. She went back. He leaned against the wall to wait get himself together and wait for her to come back, but she didn't. Alright, time to get up. He stood, legs wobbly and his shoulder worst for ware. He didn't think the ace bandage worked anymore. He walked around the corner and recognized he was a mile away from the casino at a convenience store. Okay. It shouldn't take him long to get back. The girls were in trouble and it wouldn't do if they did something to irreversible. The we wasn't on the same street he parked his car for his run. Damn. He would have gotten back quicker if he was. He was half way to the casino when he realized he didn't have his car keys anyway. He set them down on the bar counter...he thinks. Now's not the time, he'll figure it out later.

It took fifteen minutes to get back just in time to see Maya and Lyss walked back inside and the FBI truck was down the street. So they left and no one was hurt, right? He hoped so. He jogged inside, everyone was around the table. Emily was yelling about her cuffs. The mood was somber at best. Half the members looked worse for ware. He took a seat at the table and listened to Lyss explain what happened. They got in trouble for the vampire incident yesterday. It was a bad idea after all. He sighed, of course it was. Violence didn't get anyone anywhere and now their lives were on the line. If they messed up again they'd end up dead. He took a deep breath in and let it out. This was a lot more than he bargained for. He wanted friends to practice magic with. Now they're on the radar of the government and could potentially die. If he goes, then who will look after his mother? What happens if she wakes up and he's dead? He didn't want to think of her grief. Tears welled in his eyes at the thought of her being alone. He's all she has. No other family than just them.

"I agree with Lyss. We've had trouble two days in a row. I don't want anything to happen to any of you. So far our actions almost got us killed. I think we should avoid funerals for at least another sixty years." He might have to bury his mother if he can't figure out how to help her, he doesn't want more lives lost, especially to senseless violence. They needed structure, rules, like in wrestling. Illegals moves were called and could lead to disqualification. They needed something like that. "What if we had rules for when we do things and when we don't, and for how to handle situations like today? If Lyss is correct and there might other groups out there that might come for us we don't want to be unprepared."

Oh shit. I thought it was OOC.
My bad.

Today was not a good day. No, this weekend wasn't a good weekend for his friends. They fought yesterday, within the group and with vampires, he's hurt, Sin got hurt, Madison isn't doing well emotionally and is now off to probably do something that might potentially get her killed. He wishes he could go, but Babylon said it wouldn't just take a life, doesn't mean it won't do something irreversible. He's sure Emily insulted him, but he couldn't really follow. Something about being lonely, but weren't they all lonely that's why they're here? More infighting today, a lot of harm words and criticisms. He wished they'd all get along. No two people are too different from each other. They all have a lot in common, maybe if they recognized that they'd get along better. They should go to the beach. Unwind, have some fun. Yes, fun is what they all needed right now. Can't fight when you're having a good time. He opened his mouth wide to yell, only to inhale burning smoke that made his eyes teary and red and hard to see.

"FBI!"

Herik got off his barstool and hit the floor. His mother always said to just to as the authorities said and there'd be no problems. He couldn't really see them through his cloudy eyes, but it looked like there four and one of them was big, like probably bigger than him. He's not worried for himself, Herik can take a hit, even if he's rarely not the biggest guy in the room, but his companions are tiny things, even the ones nearly as tall as him.

"Just do what they say!" He called out, then coughed hard into his elbow. Some of the more volatile members might cause more trouble than they're already in and he won't be able to protect them if they need it. Even so, he crawled towards the FBI, maybe they'd see him as more of a threat than his companions. He put most of his weight on his uninjured shoulder, his chest getting carpet burn, he ignored the pain. He didn't do much to protect them yesterday, but maybe he can protect them now.
I'm in. This is my favorite rp rn. I'll PM you my sheet. I might not change anything. Idk yet.

Herik was satisfied what the Hound wouldn't kill them if it wasn't their time to go, but he still didn't want to go chasing the reaper. It could change its mind. If Babylon's taught him anything about ethereal beings, it's that they don't follow rules other than the ones they make themselves. Madison dropped the topic, but he could tell she wasn't going to let it go. He still wanted to help her somehow. Maybe not with the Hound, but even if she confided in him that's all he'd need. He'll approach her after the meeting if he got the chance.

Agatha called the meeting to open. A new member wouldn't be bad. He didn't see why someone else couldn't join. Seemed like they all needed someone to care about them and this new person was probably in need of the same thing. He couldn't turn them away. "I think a new member would be great. The more in our group, the merrier, right?" He smiled, the prospect of a new friend was good.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, I'll leave ya'll with a question: if you bang your counterpart is it:

1). Masturbation?

2). Incest?

3). Normal sex?

4). Selfcest.

A lot happened during the fight. Sin got shot, a big vampire tackled him and he landed on his shoulder wrong, but he punched it in the face. They grappled on the concrete, until Kayla called the fight to end and Claudette turned the street dark. Herik kicked the creature off him, then ran towards the tree, since it was his only point of reference in the darkness. From there he managed to make his way back to his car. He peeled off the street, but didn't follow everyone else. Instead, he went to the hospital, because he'd done wrong. He shouldn't've been in that fight. His mother wouldn't have approved. Sure he went to support Kayla, but he didn't expect more than a little fighting, like a bar brawl. Not a bloody battle. It was too much. His mother raised him better than this. He's sure he hurt the vampires he fought, maybe beyond repair. His stopped at a traffic light and looked at his bloody knuckles. He can't go see his mother like this, but he was barely holding it together. He parked in the hospital lot and he wiped his hands the best he could with a cloth in his bag. The process to check in and get a visitor's bag took a few minutes, then he was in her room, sitting next to her.

She didn't look any different than when he last saw her a week ago. Still blonde with a gray strands, her laugh lines were frown lines, the wrinkles around her eyes looked sad without her liveliness. He placed his hand next to hers, because he couldn't bring himself to touch her with the blood on his hands.

"I got in a fight today. I know I shouldn't've, but a friend needed help." He shrugged, and tapped the bed nervously. "But that's no excuse, is it? I broke a man's jaw for my girlfriend. You'd think I'd learned conflict resolution, but I didn't and I'm sorry. I just want to protect the girls, y'know. They're young and lost." He laid his head down on the bed. "I'm the oldest I should lead by example. I can hear you say it now, but I wouldn't be in the Coven if you were awake." He sighed and closed his eyes. "I'll do better. I promise. No more violence, unless absolutely necessary. Right."

~.~

Herik stayed in the hospital all night, until the nurse woke him up the next morning. He went home, eat, showered, and put an ace bandage on his shoulder, the pain finally hit him. He changed into a purple mini jersey shorts and started his work out. He switched between one arm push ups and sit ups in his living room, until a half hour before the Coven meeting. He got half way there, before getting out his car with a water bottle in his hand. He hadn't worked out the shame from yesterday and his workout at home wasn't enough, so he jogged the rest of the way to Lucky Strike Casino. Most members were there when he came in. He smiled the best he could, then sat away from everyone else at the furthest end of the bar. He didn't have to wait long for Madison and Claudette to come in, Madison asking for help with something called the Hound. From the way Babylon explained it, the creature didn't seem like the type to throw fists at. A grim reaper of sorts. Sounds like something best to avoid. He barely flinched at Madison's Jaws.

"I'll help you with anything you need. I'd help any of you, but I think we need to be careful. Some of us got hurt yesterday." He looked at Sin. She got shot and could have died. "This...Hound doesn't sound like something we should mess with. Babylon said it takes souls to the other side." As much as he doesn't trust Babylon he couldn't see a reason for her to lie about this. "What if it takes one of us? Is whatever you're looking worth your friends' lives?"
Nope. I'm good with them knowing each other. I like the dynamic we have so far.
