Glancing up as Jess sat down, Ryan grinned a greeting, tugging of her headphones and pausing her music. "Sure I'd Love to see you necklace." she stressed the word love a play on how the necklace was supposed to reflect the same as your 'one true love'. "I think I have mine here somewhere." Fishing through her pockets she hooked the grey-stoned necklace out, letting the light glint for a second as it dangled from her fingers. "As for me keeping it, are you sure? I mean I can hold onto it if need be, but let's not burn it, much as that would satisfy me, the fire and all, you know, but if it's anything like mine they are kinda pretty, ……if not something I really believe in." She smiled here, lighting up her face. "I'll keep it for you. Rex is stunning by the way, he brought me another bird yesterday, why can't he just catch rats?!"
She didn't have to wait long. Reading Jess's text, Ryan's grin grew even broader. The park huh? She flicked a quick text back agreeing, before bounding up and sorting her stuff out. Unplugging the phone she grabbed her brown-grey satchel, dropping her phone in and swinging it over her shoulder, letting it sit on the opposite hip. Grabbing a blue hoodie from her room Ryan pulled on her soft brown army boots, lacing them tight. Leaping down the stairs she called a goodbye to anyone who might be in the house, before swinging her way up the pavement.

The park wasn't too far from her house, so she made it there in good time. Dropping down on a bench she waited, Jess would know where to find her, they had often sat here before, complaining about the world, bragging about new stuff, generally just being friends.

Reaching into her bag, Ryan withdrew her ipod and headphones, slipping them on she thumbed through songs till she found one she liked. Singing softly along she leaned her head back, her foot tapping to the beat.
Ryan swore loudly; of all the times her phone could pick to die on her, it had to be now. Grumbling she dropped downstairs, plugging it in, before collapsing on the couch. Today looked like it'd be an inside day.

Scowling in protest as Rex started attacking the sofa, Ryan batted him away, blinking her eyes open, she yawned and dragged herself over to the fridge. She'd fallen asleep in the middle of the day, never a good omen. Taking a swig of milk, Ryan headed back out to the lounge and checked her phone. Two texts were waiting for her attention, one from Blake, reading it she realized that there was no way Blake was still at the school. Biting her lower lip, Ryan flicked to the other text from Jess. A small grin slipped across her face, tugging at the corners or her mouth.

Hey Jess :), I found my necklace, I'd lost it under my bed. Typical me huh? :) I don't believe in them that much, well at all. Are you doing anything today? Or this evening I guess. :) Let's meet up. Anywhere in particular you wanna go? Bring your necklace and show me, yeah? Ryan

She sent her reply, humming softly, hoping Jess would reply soon.
Having resurrected her room to a vaguely clean state again, or close enough anyway, she decided surveying the clothes hastily shoved in her draws and the paper littering her desk that hadn't been touched for weeks. Shrugging she threw herself down on her bed, a favorite thing she liked to do, letting the mound of lose blankets swallow her whole for a few seconds before the springs in the mattress repelled her out. Sprawling on her front she grabbed her phone, an old style for texting, calling and pretty much nothing else. Scrolling through her list of contacts, she paused for a sec on Blake's number, they weren't the best of friends, but they got along.

hey. you doing anything? :)
i hate to double post but will someone interact with Blake, idk text her go see her or something pleaseee and thank you <3

Ryan can. "they weren't the best of friends, but they got along" ……sound okay? Ryan can come practice soccer, even if she herself doesn't play. :)
Oh hell, I go to one measly robotics lecture and you guys literally doubled the posts. Gimme some time to read then I'll post. :)
I might have taken a few liberties there. Oh well.

Please come back.

"S'alright Maggie, anything for a friend." She grinned, although it wasn't technically true, anything for a friend like Maggie, sure, but only cause she trusted and respected her, others? only a little.

Slipping outside after Maggie, Luck slipped away from the small group, finding a way up to the roofs and following them from there.

The tavern itself looked a little rundown from the out side while the inside was …… pretty much the same. Having rejoined the group, Luck fished a single muted copperish coin, about the size of a hole in an egg cup, out of a small tightly latched pouch at her side. Technically it was a fake purse, with only a few coins, used as a distraction, a bluff if you will, so anyone trying to nick her money with sticky fingers only ever got a tiny amount. Striding up to the bar she placed the coin on the counter, holding it down with her middle finger. "Coffee, thanks love." She asked of the slim girl behind the bar. Twisting to glance over at Maggie she used her free hand to beckon her over, "Hey, what do you want?" she asked, only offering to get Maggie a drink. As she had said; anything for a friend like Maggie, and anyway, Maggie was the one who came up with the whole heist in the first place.
Please don't tell me it's cause Fate attempted to eat a zombie that you guys all disappeared? What happened to the mad headlong rush of posts that started this thing? Where is everybody?

It took another few moments of staring for the whole picture to sink in, things seemed to be happening far too fast, like a speed up movie. Two more people had appeared from ……somewhere, although she couldn't say if anyone was to ask, even if there was no one else to do the asking. It looked like at least one of the others here could actually fight, although it wasn't entirely reassuring Alex decided, that worm would take more than one person to defeat. As she thought that, she realized that meant she was going to have to fight as well. As it was, her short blades probably wouldn't do much damage to something with that bulk.

Coming to a decision, Alex dashed across to where the three others had gathered, skidding slightly as she threw on the brakes. She stumbled to a stop next to them hearing the last of the second man's words. "……what could happen if it decides to infect a hospital. I can't let that happen." Stepping forward with a slight grin fulled by building adrenalin Alex questioned, "So, do you have a plan? Or are we just going to wing it?" She hoped she hadn't startled them too much, but it was a bit late to worry about that now. "I don't think that thing is going to wait much longer." pausing for a breath she charged on, "If you don't have a plan I reckon that if I was to be 'bait' and distract it, you could get it from behind? Possibly." It looked to Alex that one might be able to get rid of the face-plate-armour-thingie if they were to get on the neck at the back of the head, but she wasn't really sure about that.
