Hiya! I'm Tabitha, and I'm in college. I've been role playing for about 12 years, and I plan on pursuing a career in writing. So any feedback on my posts is welcome and appreciated. But I also do this because it's a lot of fun.

Paige turned her head at the sound of a screaming match, only to see one of the teachers break it up. The same teacher then went and explained everything they needed to know for their first night here. Chewing softly, she tried to pay attention to the information she was being given. She constantly had to remind herself that this wasn't a tour, this was the real deal. Picking up her bag, she waited for the first couple of people to head inside. She wasn't sure if there was gonna be a race to the rooms or not, and if there was going to be a stampede, she did not want to be involved. Just the thought of destroying her boots to go to bed, was enough to send a shiver down her spine.

She started heading into the building when she saw someone walking towards her. Normally, Paige wouldn't stop for anyone, but from the corner of her eye it looked like someone she knew. Turning her head, to get a better look, her eyes brightened and she smiled. "Nya!" Of course Nya would be here. Ever since her brother came, and became one of the best in his class, she had been itching to do the same. It would have been the biggest mistake of the century not letting Nya in, even worse than some of these people's fashion sense.

Hearing yet another scream, Paige turned her attention to the girl in the white--or what should have been white--jacket. "Oh, poor jacket." She said before reaching out to give Nya a hug. "I don't know why I didn't find you earlier. How have you been?"

Since it is uneven, I can just room with myself. If that makes things easier.

You can room with me, I don't have a roomie yet.

Paige drummed her fingers against her kneecap waiting for the limo drive to be over. It wasn't that far for her. She was just going from one part of Focal to another. Pulling out a piece of gum from her pocket, she unwrapped it and popped it into her mouth. She was surprisingly nervous about arriving. This was the first time she was doing something for her benefit and not someone else's, specifically her parents. Balling up the gum wrapper, she stepped out of the limo. She flipped her curly hair over her shoulder before walking over to where the group was gathering. This was definitely an experience you couldn't be prepared for.

Looking around at some of the other people, Paige resisted the urge to wrinkle her nose. She wished that the Guard training facility wasn't in Focal, then all these other people wouldn't taint her home. But, at the same time she couldn't imagine leaving Focal for something less than amazing. Blowing a bubble with her gum and popping it loudly, she dropped her bag at her feet and crossed her arms. "This should be an interesting time." She mumbled to herself. She looked down at her nails and picked at the day old nail polish. "I need a new color." She held her hand away from her face trying to imagine what color would best suit her.

Theo woke up peacefully with the sin tickling his face. Wait, peacefully? Shooting straight up and ignoring the rush to his head, he ran to the shower trying not to trip over all the junk covering his bedroom floor. After breaking the record for quickest shower, he hopped around his room getting dressed, two articles at a time. Luckily, he only fell once. Grabbing his wallet, headphones, phone, and keys, Theo ran out of his apartment. Taking the stairs two at a time, he rushed to unlock his bike from the street sign pole. Hoping on, he pedalled with all the strength he had in his body. His shoelaces flirted with the bicycle chain the entire ride. Innocent pedestrians very kindly saluted him with one finger. But Theo was only focused on the slowly enlarging building. Going uphill, he rose off the bicycle seat and pedalled even harder. Sweat beaded on his forehead and his hair became stringy, sticking to his face. He hopped off at the top of the hill and chained up his bike before running inside. The first couple of volunteers who spotted him stared strangely. Theo ignored them looked for a middle-aged balding man with a clipboard.

He slowly walked over to him, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. The manager was talking with other group leaders. Clearing his throat, he tapped the man on his shoulder. Turning around the man broke into a smile. "Theo, it's great to see you! I was afraid that we weren't gonna have your help this week." Theo returned the smile. "Not if I could help it. My alarm wasn't working properly, but I got here as soon as I could. I just wanted to let you know that I was here before I headed over to event coordinating." He explained before turning around. "Kid, wait." The manager shouted after him, before jogging up to meet him. "That section is full today, I'm sorry." Theo's face dropped noticeably. "But, my story. It...the events, I always help!" He stated in a fresh panic. The manager laid a hand on his shoulder. "I know kiddo, and I'm sorry. I know how long you've been coming here. But, hey, we could use some extra hands packing if you still wanna stay." Theo nodded bleakly. "Yeah, sure." He turned and headed in a different direction. After freshening up in the restroom, he walked into the packing section. Looking around he found an unsorted section of food and started loading them into the boxes without blinking.
