Name - Bert Hughes
Alias - Quicksilver
Powers - Mercury Mimicry (can become like liquid mercury, can hit with force, can expel bullets and things made of iron)
Weakness - Very heavy/dense and sinks in water, prolonged exposure can poison people.
Experience - Doesn't have much experience apart from stopping some environmentally unfriendly corporations.
Appearance -
When not on patrol, Bert has a shaved and shined head and no facial hair. He has an emaciated look, with good musculature under skin that ends up resembling sweaters in a vacuum bag. When he goes out to fight crime or perform espionage, Quicksilver wears a set of resistant black pants and a pair of black steel toed boots. He wears a black glove on his left hand, which helps keep the weighted punching hand intact when hitting something or someone hard. On his torso, he creates the alchemical symbol for mercury on his chest like an emblem with his mimicry powers so that it stands out in dark silver. Similarly he manipulates mercury to cover his lower face with something that resembles a mask of silver mercury and manipulates his eyes in the same way.
Age - 25
Brief Bio - Bert was raised and lived in a landlocked city surrounded by fields upon fields of crops. He worked at a law firm that specialized in environmental issues, and when a food corporation known for its use of GMOs set up shop at a local farm, he went out to snap some photos and see if anything was being done illegally. He was horrified to learn that they were using a good portion of their land as a landfill and a facility. In the pursuit of truth and justice, he slipped into the underground facility to find a complex in which there were a large number of seemingly different experiments being performed. When an alarm went off, he quickly darted into a room to hide, but ended up exposed to a variety of chemicals and energies in an experiment room, which lead to his powers. After draining through a floor grate, he reintegrated and woke up outside and naked -- and confused -- but soon learned the extent of his abilities and used to it pursue a combination of revenge and environmental justice. He came to Millennium City after hearing that the same corporation who was operating in his home city opened an office there.
Commitment - At least once a day, with only a slight hiccup once I get a job again.

It seemed to Shade that no matter how many of these cyborgs she killed, there were always more, and since she was running out of arrows, it was a big problem. She fired off a standard arrow, which pierced the casing of the cyborg nearest her with a loud sound. It made some erratic movements, before its legs locked up and it fell over. Shade dashed over to it and pulled the arrow from its body. I cannot continue doing this alone, she thought to herself, thinking of Black Canary's order to not engage any metahumans or their compatriots. A bolt of plasma whizzed past her head, making her face tingle. She turned to see the cyborg who fired the shot taking aim again. She dropped to the asphalt as another blast of plasma jetted through where she just stood. Using her arms and her acrobatics, she bounded up into the air and landed on her feet a meter back and waved at the cyborg, to which the machine responded with more plasma fire.
Shade darted out of the way, causing the plasma to strike two cyborgs behind her. She bolted towards the commotion where she'd seen the other heroes arrive, cutting hydraulic ligaments in the legs of cyborgs as she went with her blade. A liquid squirted out from the ligament tubing and they fell down behind her, trying to get themselves back up with little avail.
"Which of you is the commandant?" Shade asked the group of heroes, moving with them as they provided covering fire for one of the others. She fired off another two arrows into cyborgs, before she decided to feel the arrows left in her quiver and realizing she only had five left. If she wasn't careful, this fight would prove to be much more exciting than she'd initially intended.
"Sad jojokhet'shi…?" she muttered, seeing the grotesque form of what the heroes were calling Brick. This was definitely not what she was expecting her first time out.

Moved things forward. Incorporated everything I could from more recent posts for both Star City and the D.C. settings. Post people! Noobs can go ahead and show us what their characters are made of. I don't mind if you post three times in three days so long as none of them are back to back! ~KL~
Well then. I'll certainly take advantage post holiday!
I keep checking back every day, but I don't want to post so frequently no one else has the chance to run with it first.

I just realized three people on the team are archers: Apollo/Lucien, Shade/Siti, and Armory/CW. If the above quote is the reasoning for Armory's, they've made silencers for guns for years now. I'm sure 2021 is no different. Apollo's whole thing is Godly weaponry and he fires arrows made of light. Shade has more trick arrows but also uses blades all ninja style. With Armory I'd focus more on the tech side of the suit and make it more like a ninja Ironman/Deadpool combo. Sam - Do you love bows and arrows so much you'd bring three archers to the group while I was away?~KL~
