Current Been practicing drawing for a few months now. Biggest tip I can give so far is copy, copy, copy. It really helps you learn the basics in a very hands on way,

Finally caught up on Rick and Morty. Pretty good shit. It's not every day a cartoon reminds me of my existential crisis.

The Boarder Patrol in Vermont has more important matters than illegal Mexicans. They have to stop the White Walkers.

Sounds like a neat idea. I could see some sort of pirate faction existing.
I've been looking around for awhile now and have not seen much on this topic. Its all either super realistic RP, medieval fantasy, or space. Each to his own, of course, but I was disappointing not to see any fantastical Diesel/Steampunk like NRPs. So what I propose is a custom world where the setting will be very similar to the early to mid 1940s. Something like Valkyria Chronicles, Skycrawlers, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, that sort of thing. I would like it to focus on having fun, so as part of the rules, the game will have its crazy giant improbable tanks or flying contraptions that can be overpowered! BUT! This is because they SHOULD be allowed to be defeated through some impossible odds or whatever! I think the Roleplayer Guild so far has a very trustworthy community, so I would trust that people wouldn't just abuse that freedom.

Anyway, who else is interested in this sort of thing? Some over the top, fantasy tech filled, simple, fun, NRP? More details about the world, map, ect. will come as more people show interest.

Oh and be warned! This is my first time ever GMing.... anything really, so I appreciate any tips or pointers to help the NRP grow and thrive.
Yeah.... I just couldn't see the rational thinking, generally friendly Krauss being the racist type. But racial tension is the best kind of tension! :D
Got it and replied, had a little server lag did ya? XD
No worries! I am in no rush. So how should my character enter the scene since you guys appear to be somewhat down the road now?
Krauss returned the handshake and said with a smile. "Well Sergeant, it seems we have our work cut out for us. We are in for one hell of a ride."

"Well then..." Krauss stood up next to Sergeant Harald gave a nod to the squad as they assembled. "I'm Corporal Krauss Helfer, and as the good Sergeant here said, I will be your deputy squad leader. On top of that I will be the Sniper of your squad. I feel confident in saying I'm a crack shot, so you scouts best tell me when you see a target of interest. Was in the actual army for a little while, now I've been in the Militia for two years now, saw this was inevitable, joined up early, so my gear is all set. Don't mind my accent though, I ain't no spy for the Empire." he said in good humor. "No but really, please don't accidentally shoot me during some night op when I call out friendly." he said, now only half joking. He was somewhat cut off by the sound of a distant explosion, the general crowd went quiet for a little bit before returning to the usual talking. "Well now, looks like the Empire's scouts are becoming a bit more troublesome.... Anyways, I do hope you will all function well as squad."
Just chillin and waitin for a response is all.

-Name-
Alicia Martin

-Cosplay-
Katou Keiko of the anime series "Strike Witches"

-Age-
20

-Gender-
Female

-Occupation-
She works as a courier pilot, i.e. she usually transports mail and such around in a twin or single engine rotary plane. Pay is fairly low.

-Personality-
A friendly, social individual who always tends to be rational and straightforward when dealing with any sort of situation. Alicia keeps a clear and focused mind about her and is fairly knowledgeable and clever. Sometimes she may come off as a bit bossy or controlling as she always tends to naturally fall into leadership positions if given the chance to, but overall she is someone who is willing to listen and change her opinion.

-Short Bio-
Alicia has always loved flying. She stared as early as the 6th grade and hasn't stopped ever since. One could probably safely say that she is a flying prodigy of sorts. Her parents where a big influence on this outlook, with her father a former Air Force pilot and her mother who worked as an Air Traffic Controller. Sadly, however, they died in a drunk driving accident.

Alicia at the time had a close friend named Caroline. Caroline was..... for lack of a better word, a total anime freak. She completely buried herself in manga, anime, and the merchandise that came with it. Alicia served almost as her rope, pulling her back into the real world to remind her friend its pretty awkward when she goes out into public wearing a cat ear headband or some other form of costume. When Alicia's parents died, she ended up staying the rest of her high school career with Caroline's family. Caroline's family had happily taken her in and enjoyed the positive influence Alicia had on her friend in making sure she didn't loose touch with the social world. Eventually they graduated high school and moved out of the house into an apartment together, with Alicia working hard to get those valuable hours of flying in and Caroline working at a cosplay cafe in the nearby city.

Alicia, through her otaku friend, was a casual fan of anime. She always enjoyed a good story or plot, but would probably be the first to point out all the ridiculous fanservice, sexualization, and just plain weirdness that also accompanies that genre. Nevertheless, she still watched her fair share of anime with her friend. One day, Caroline challenged Alicia to a bet while they argued over laundry day. If Alicia could beat her in a Naruto fighting game, she would do both of their laundry for a whole two weeks, but if Alicia lost, then she would have to come to the next Anime convention with her int the cosplay of her choice, no questions asked.

After a long and hard battle, filled with many ties and close calls, Caroline won, leaving Alicia to hold up her end of the bet. Since Alicia did put of a serious fight, Caroline decided to go easy on her and choose one of Alicia's favorite animes, Strike Witches, as the cosplay. Still, Alicia had to cut and dye her hair brown, and dress in an outfit that not only had fake fox ears and tail, but a somewhat uncomfortably breezy skirt.

"Aaaand there we go! We're all set to go!"

".....Ughh... Well, I do have to say, I definitely look a hell of a lot like Keiko....."

"Yep! You'll attract a lot of attention from the fanboys! He he he..!"

"I hate you.... I hate you soo much."

-Other-

She carried a fake Type 99 bolt action rifle as part of the costume as it was one of the main weapons the character used.

Cool! My CS is on the way
Corporal Krauss Helfer sighed as he waded through the crowd of new conscripts and officers trying to organize everyone. A few months before he had transferred over to the newly formed "9th Regiment" and was assigned to the 12th company. He looked again at his transcripts, having only just now been assigned a new squad leader. "Sergeant Harald of squad 4." was apparently his new go to man. He sighed as he glanced around, desperate to find someone of that name. After asking around for an hour, he simply gave up and headed over to the nearby pub to wait for the crowd to die down a bit. It was a nice day, so Krauss decided to sit outside.

He sat in front of a young gruff looking soldier with blue hair and simply ordered a glass of water as it was a bit early for drinking in his eyes. The landlord raised an eyebrow at Krauss, who was seemingly oblivious to the fact he just sat with with a Darcsen. As the landlord left Krauss leaned over to the smoking militiaman. "Pretty amusing ain't it? War is on the horizon and the army is being led and fought with kids who barley remember their training." He leaned back, taking a sip from the glass of water the landlord had just given him and sighed. "Ahh well, whatcha gonna do? I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I'm Krauss Helfer by the way, nice to meet you. What squad are you part of in this semi organized chaos?" He asked with a smile.
