Personality: Depending on the person you ask, Orion could be a no-nonsense type, or some aloof guy you'd mistake for a crazy person if you saw him on the street. When he's doing work, or talking about something he considers to be serious, he's the former. This is usually when he's doing his research, or talking about topics that have made him think.
When he's with friends, he's usually more aloof, cracking stupid jokes whenever he finds an opening. With friends who like to talk about topics more in his area of interest, he can have a calmer and more thoughtful manner of speaking, yet with also a strange excitement.
History: Originally, Orion lived in a region named Ardosia in one of the bigger cities where he studied at a school for orphans. That was his home, where he grew up, and got a family. There, he was treated well, educated, cared for by the his peers with whom his bond he considered stronger than that one could ever have by blood. They shared the same rooms for the entire time they were there, which was, until the year they left, almost their entire lives.
Children under the age of six would be taught to read and write and would mostly be more at leisure. Once a child turned six, they would start taking courses according to their age and progression in a competitive environment. Mostly, younger students would take courses on simple arithmetics, science and geometry, along with history and lingual courses. The older students would usually specialize, courses sometimes on the biology of pokemon, philosophy, mathematics.... Once they'd completed their mandatory courses and reached the age of 16, they would be allowed to catch a pokemon and go on a journey, or even work as an aide for someone the school would lead them to in the area they want to continue learning about or work in.
Orion chose the latter, choosing to work for a professor at a university in Ardosia. He studied under the man for a year before he was sent to do field work and record data on pokemon. So he came to Fordis, in order to use this chance to go see a new region in the meantime with his pokemon partner.

Wye turned to Celes and nodded. "It is," he said. "That's actually where the Dragon Type gym is. And...." He took one of the pokeballs from his belt and tossed it. "Walden here is actually from there. I met him when I returned to my home recently."
Blu looked down at the other pokemon with a bit of skepticism. After a few moments of thought, she decided to jump down. <Are your trainers going to go for Viore's League as well?>
<It'll be my first time battling a gym once we find one. I can't wait!>
Looking over at the two pokemon making their usual noises, Wye gave a light sigh, smiling. "Blu has been with me for quite some time. Even though she hasn't evolved yet, she can give many evolved pokemon a run for their money. I'd want to see her grow up but she seems persistent not to."
Wye looked at Devon's Zoroark with glimmering eyes, wondering how the battle would go down between the young trainer and Brooks.
"Hm? Oh! I'm actually from Viore - from Dracotia Village," he said. "Though I spent a good part of the last decade abroad." He scratched under Blu's chin, looking over to the Totodile. "She's my dad's Feraligatr's child. He put her under my care so that I could help "help them with some research" - though at first, I suspect it was just so I could get a chance to go on a journey." He looked over at Brooks. "That's actually why I try to find strong trainers and pokemon to battle," he said, pulling out the recorder he had earlier, the keystone covered and out of sight. "I battled Brooks earlier too, so that was quite helpful. That's actually why I'm doing the Pokemon League challenge, even though I'm starting half-fresh for this journey. Most of my pokemon are back home with my parents, but I didn't want to leave some of them behind. Like little Blu over here."
Is an event happening before they go to sleep? Otherwise, I think it might be a good idea to do a skip to keep moving. We're in the same day as the beginning of the RP if I'm not mistaken xD
Wye looked at the returning young man with surprise. As he listened further he got a flustered look on his face. "That sounds like quite the exciting battle down on the route," he muttered to himself. He turned to Brooks and spoke. "How many of these clowns are there anyway? 16? That'd be rich..." He chuckled at the thought of there being eight pawns and eight admins on a board.
He looked over at Blu, who seemed equally frustrated, clinging on to the young trainer's shoulder.
