6 people, hmmmmm.Well, when you mention about the egg, do we dictate Egg Group (human-like, field, flying, etc.) or Type (poison, electric, ground, etc.). If the latter, will we receive a full-type Pokemon (say I pick Ground, would I only end up with Sandshrew, Diglett, Cubone, Phanpy, Trapinch, Hippopotas, or Drilbur?), full-type and primary (which is the previous list plus things like Rhyhorn, Gligar, and Stunfisk), or any Pokemon with that type at all (so all the above + things like Nincada and Gible and Numel)? Would just help to determine the likelihood of getting the Pokemon you want.

Any pokemon at all with that type, with includes pokemon with secondary types.
Haha, okay! :D
*Hi-Casual, or exceptional grammar and acceptable length.

Just to get us in that ol' pokemon mood...

Welcome to the Pokemon Ranger Association! I can assume you're here because you received the boat ticket, correct? The Pokemon Ranger Association (or simply PRA) is international, so if we had out headquarters in only one region, that wouldn't exactly be fair, would it? Wondering where you are now? Well, you're at the PRA HQ! We're based on a special nature preserve that very few researchers are able to visit! There are tons of cool wild pokemon to be found here in the Nature Preserve, but we called you all here for a different reason.

Your applications to be pokemon rangers have been accepted! We've carefully inspected each and every one of them, and most applications didn't make the cut. What's that? Why do we need more recruits? Well, in addition to the normal criminal activity worldwide, there have been sightings of mythical pokemon! Intriguing isn't it? Some of our more experienced rangers have gone missing from missions to further locate the legendary pokemon, so it was necessary to find more youth to undergo training. (We're not just some second-rate operation, you know... we're here to save the world and stuff!) Though since you took all the time to fill out the application, please allow me to brief you on the basic rules of being a ranger.

First of all, all rangers have ranks. Based on how experienced you are, you can be rank 1 to 10. Of course, you newbies are rank 0- the lowest rank, mind you! As Trainee Rangers, you'll have to accept the dirty and tedious, mindless jobs until you're able to take an exam to earn a promotion. In addition, you're not allowed to have a partner pokemon yet. Don't worry, though! That used stylus we provided you with will do you just fine to temporarily befriend weak wild pokemon. Plus, once you take your first mission, we'll give you a pokemon egg to carry around! Cool, eh?

As far as the pokemon egg goes, no you cannot choose what pokemon you get. This will be your partner for your entire career, so once it hatches you're encouraged to name it and be as nice as you can to him or her. ((However, I will allow you to choose the TYPE the egg will be...))

Next, all rangers work in groups called squads. Depending on our haul of recruits, squads may be anywhere from 2-4 people. The captain of a squad, chosen by a senior ranger, will have some authority, but will also have full responsibility for the squad's mistakes. (Sounds like a double-edged sword to me...) Squads that have similar average ranks are known to often have friendly (or not-so-friendly) rivalries with one another. In addition, just to make everyone a bit more competitive, squads that do better in their missions have more privileges. Likewise, squads that do worse... Well, you don't change or pick your squads, so you had best work something out!

There are three types of pokemon rangers: help, hurt, or hunt. Once you become a rank 1 Rookie Ranger, you'll be allowed to declare your specialty. There are some missions and tools that only certain rangers can use! Help rangers specialize in rescues, escorts, assistance, and the like. Hurt rangers specialize in taking down the baddies, human and pokemon alike. Hunt rangers are expert trackers- they're hired to recover people, rare artifacts, and just about anything else!

While here at HQ, you live in a structure known as a bungalow with your squad members. Don't worry, everyone will get their own rooms! The PRA is actually quite wealthy... Since you are all new recruits, you'll all be Trainee Rangers, making you the bottom-feeders of the Mission Board.

The Mission Board is updated regularly, and will have a detailed description of exactly what the client needs you to do. Since we are a primarily good organization, we don't take damage or assassination requests, nor do we take thievery or other dishonest quests. ((However, you can take one of those secretly via the Dark Mission Board... but be warned if you are caught, your ranger license could be stripped from you!

Hm... I think that just about covers everything you need to know about life here at the PRA HQ! Remember, there is more to pokemon than most trainers realize...
Please Pick up your Application Here... *this is the Cs, guys... If you want to get ahead, go ahead and fill this out. Answer in first person, as if they're actually filling out an application. This will also help me gauge if you're suitable for the high casual standards of the roleplay, so hit hard on the grammar and stuff! :D No single section should be longer than a paragraph. If it is, you're doing something wrong.

OOC-
I'm really sorry if that was confusing in any way, shape, or form. To be blunt, this is a pokemon ranger roleplay that will have the golden 'Accept, Complete, Repeat' plot line where the characters continually take on missions and improve their skills. However, as previously mentioned, there have been recent sightings of legendary pokemon... (Psst! That's a plot device...) I'll be looking for a co-GM to help me with modding the universe and stuff. Control NPCs, dictate capture rates, and make missions. I just wanted a pokemon roleplay that wasn't your usual trainer one. This will have the pokemon, the romantic drama, the compelling stories, and the memorable plot twists, so please say so if you're interested! :D

I think I'll need many people for this, but until a minimum of 6 total players (including myself...) are interested, I won't be creating a roleplay thread.
The seven year old boy shakily got to his feet. Since he had been sitting, his legs felt prickly as he got up. Davis's eyes still panned around uneasily. He was sure he had heard a howl that came from the woods, but it wouldn't be safe at all to go toward it. Would it? No, he was fairly certain, that in terms of his strict Grandmother's rules, running toward the blood-curdling howl was a big no-no. But what if something needed help? From what he heard from the household staff, Grandmother was keen on helping people and animals. He would make her proud if he did something like that, wouldn't he? Of course he would. Nervously, Davis rubbed his hands together and flicked some auburn hair from his face. It felt like he had a reason to now, but it didn't make him any less terrified.

Slowly, Davis began to walk toward the invisible line where meadow transitioned into forest. The underbrush was dark, with fallen leaves, twigs and more forest gunk littering the floor. Cringing, the young child heard yet another chilling howl and his lip pouted as he hesitated. Shutting his eyes for a few seconds, Davis then quickly dashed into the dark woods, careful to avoid the plies of moist mud.

Cursing aloud, the man hit his fist against the window of polished reinforced glass, hanging his head only for a moment as he watched the grandson of his mistress make a mad dash for the woods. Didn't he just tell him to stay in the meadow? And, more importantly, why was he in the yard by himself? Sakuya placed the cloth he was using to wipe the windows on the windowsill, and called out rather loudly, "Ryuu! Come with me to fetch Davis!" He called out as he began to head to the door. Were he on the second floor, Sakuya probably would have just popped open a window and hopped out of it, but it would be useless if he just came out of the first story.

The man had light pink hair tied a bit in the back and looked to be in his mid-twenties. He was wearing a black and white waistcoat, and his coattails flapped as he hurried. Finally throwing open the door, pink eyes narrowed. What was Davis thinking? He was young, yes, but usually never this impulsive. He heard it as well, the cry for help, but... He could feel an evil presence present. This could all be a trap. Grinding his teeth together a bit nervously, he decided to hurry and retrieve him, and with Ryuu's help, he probably catch him before anything bad happened.

Meanwhile, Davis was way deeper in the woods than Sakuya had originally thought. He was trying to follow where the howling was coming from, but after a while, realized that everything just looked the same. And that had started to scare him. "Hello?!? Is anyone there?!?" He screamed, a bit of panic in his voice.
Same here...

Yea, I'm using it for a short film that I'm making. (For class, mind you. It's actually more of a chore than anything else.)

In other news, you can make fake blood out of red food coloring, baking soda, and corn syrup.
The boy's eyes flickered as Augustine and Cassius exchanged glances. The prince then moaned softly in anguish as the general's verdict was revealed. There was no escaping this hellhole, at least not anytime soon. And that was assuming they would make it through. Though his brother was undoubtedly one of the best generals in the kingdom, what use was a king without subjects? As of now, the four only had each other and the vicious mountain that, Frey was convinced, was making him lose his mind.

Gritting his teeth, the adolescent nodded. "Let's hurry up then!" He snapped, feeling something in his throat tremble as he raised his voice. Then, more hoarsely, he added. "Please..."

As Augustine and Cassius hurried ahead, Frey followed. However, before he was completely out of the area, he felt something hard hit the top of his head. It wasn't until after whipping his head around to see it, did he realize it was some sort of pinecone. Abesntly, the prince rubbed the spot where the pinecone had struck him. It was sore, though other than that, was hardly damaged.

Regardless, Frey felt his blood heat up as he flushed with fury. Too sore to scream anymore and too tired to strike anything, he simply whispered, "Scum..." before leaning against a tree and hurrying to catch up to the others. He left too soon to see that he had left a bloody hand mark on one of the trees. The burning sound it made almost concealed the maniacal laughter of the unnamed creatures.

Dragging his feet sulkily through the dark forest floor, Frey 's eyes flickered up curiously as his hand was fondled and, for a brief period, held. He had no resistance, but at the same time, no eagerness. The prince's fire had not been extinguished but rather doused. And, for whatever reason, Asbel's warm hand made him feel the least bit better. "Th-" He had meant to give some gratitude, voice his thanks, but he hadn't a chance to. Augustine, for whatever reason, had decided to speak to Asbel about something, leaving Frey's hand a bit emptier. He didn't try to sink his fingers back into his flesh, though.

Frey then trudged in the wet forest along Cassius, and the next six or seven hours passed with a gray tint. After a while, everything started to look the same, and his feet were wet from the water soaking through his boots and wooly socks. Frey wanted nothing more than to just strip the socks off; they were an annoyance more than anything else! Cassius wasn't a very vocal person, and Frey was in no mood for his usual snarky, unnecessary commentary.

"We're close to the North' aren't we?" Frey nearly pleaded.
The mansion was big, and thanks to Grandmother's hatred of dust paired with her servants' almost obsessive need to be doing something, was always spotless. The young boy's eyes had -widened in shock when he saw what a big place his Grandmother lived in. It had dark wooden floors, and sparkly stained glass windows. What caught the seven-year-old boy's attention the most, however, were the many strange and wonderful artifacts located all over the house. There were paper lanterns, strange garments called 'kimonos', and scrolls and paintings of every size that decorated the mansion's otherwise empty walls.

Constance Mirandar, his grandmother, was previously a journalist who worked in Japan. Though Davis didn't know much about what she had done there, his grandmother loved to tell him stories about her adventures. She made living with her fun, even though Davis had never been so carefully watched. His Father wasn't joking when he warned him that living with Grandmother could be both exciting and scary. She couldn't stand dust- or dirt. Once the child had tracked a bit of mud into the foyer. In response, grandmother had him polish the skylight over the dining room, which had scared away any thoughts of ever angering the old woman again. Nevertheless, Davis loved her very much.

Constance was a woman in her mid-seventies, with cool grey hair almost always in a complex-looking braid. She wore comfortable aprons and indoor-wear, saying 'There are no cameras here, anyways...' She had several servants who appeared to all be fairly young, or at least younger than her. Constance was the mother of Davis' Father, and lived far away from them. The boy only saw his grandmother at very special occasions such as weddings or reunions. In fact, living with Grandmother wasn't a simple vacation; it was because Davis' lungs were bad.

He had really bad asthma, and living in the smoggy urban city with his parents wasn't good for his health. He had almost died from an asthma attack a few months ago, and that was the final straw. His parents sent him to live with Grandmother until their insurance was approved for surgery and he could move back. It had been about a month since his move, and the boy had grown rather comfortable in the mansion, with the fun and often eccentric servants and his adventurous grandmother!

Davis tossed the paper ball into the air once more, but it landed on his dark auburn hair. He had it cut short to keep it out of his way. The child had slightly tanned skin and big brown eyes. He was playing a short distance away from the estate, where perfect, level meadow transitioned into ominous forest. Even though he should be by himself, he could feel Haruo or Sakuya staring into the back of his neck from inside the house. Since it had been ages since his last attack and Grandmother kept him fed, Davis didn't look sickly at all. It was one of those rare moments when Grandmother let him play outside, though he was positive he should have to take a bath as soon as he came inside. Maybe Haruo would cook him up something yummy when he got back inside. Smiling dreamily at the thought of the cook's dishes, the young boy was brought back to the present when he heard an eerie howl.

Instinctively, he gasped and turned around, his new toy forgotten and drifting slowly to the grass. His eyes searched the woods fearfully, looking for a branch out of place. 'Be still, child, for not all monsters are to be feared...' He could hear Grandmother's motto as he took a deep breath and looked around. Something had to be out of place.
Okay, so we'll start eight years prior, where Davis rescues Y. I'll go first.
They held hands! (However briefly!) KK, posting soon. xD
