Once moment, Frey was sinking to his knees and the next he let out a shocked scream as he was tackled. Augustine was strong, and it didn't seem like he took down the young prince any different than he would do to an enemy soldier. Frey closed his eyes on instinct, though his cheekbones were numb from the mere impact. Frey was never used to getting slapped around, so this was more of shock than anything else. He felt numb inside, though his mind cleared as the anger melted away. He had thrown a mallet at Cassius. He had tried to kill the dragon. He had tried to kill his... his friend?

That is, if Cassius even considered him a friend anymore. As the youngest prince's face was pressed against the cold, wet oil of the forest, he felt like crying but couldn't bring himself to. He never would have thought Augustine had it in him to be so explosive. In that way, his reaction was similar to Asbel's. Even after his elder brother got off of him, Frey felt the weight of the general heavy on his back and the angry grip on his wrist and shoulder. Feeling tears well up in his eyes and his wrist and shoulder throb, Frey shot a wounded glare at Augustine, who was being restrained by Cassius. He blinked slowly, then opened his mouth as if he was about to say something. However, he closed it right away as he ground his teeth together angrily. Then, looking to the ground angrily, not believing what had just happened. Augustine's words hurt nearly as much as the pulsating pain of his take down.

Biting his lip, Frey shakily got to his feet but didn't look once at his brother, his brother's dragon, or the phoenix. Suddenly, turning slowly, Frey ran the opposite way into the woods, and into the darkness. Night was falling fast in the forest, but the young man didn't care. He just wanted to get away. Frey didn't look back once as he ran deeper and deeper into the woods, until it was so dark he couldn't the trees a foot away from him. Was it midnight?

Curling up into a ball and feeling helpless, Frey's orange eyes darted around, hearing sounds everywhere. There were howls and scratches. His legs felt like pudding and his throat like sandpaper. Slowly, his eyelids began to flutter. "W-What? N-No... C-Can't fall asleep..." He murmured stubbornly, lightly slapping his cheek. However, much like his running blindly into the woods, it was pointless. The prince slumped over as he fell asleep and found himself trapped in yet another nightmare. Little did he know, ever since he had been attacked, everything had changed.
Okay, thanks! If he doesn't come by tomorrow I'll post a thread in the Interest Check forum or something that we can use later if needed, as well.
Oh, just saw the original quest! Let's keep that on tabs if we ever need to make a spin-off. Having a quest with a prerequisite sounds cool. Maybe I'll ask you guys to send me missions in PMs in the future. Save me some work, y'know? >u<

Edit: Does anyone know of someone who'd be interested in playing a similar character to Hao? I hope Ekirei comes back, but now would be a good time to start searching for a replacement.
Posting ASAP.
Dirge's eyes lit up a bit as he heard someone speak to him. "Huh?" He asked instinctively before grinning once more. She looked to be a woman with fiery red-orange hair. The brunette spoke loudly, but (miraculously,) didn't yell. "Yeah! The Capture Styler is the most awesome thing ever. After all," He began, but quickly caught himself. "I've always loved traveling." He said, though it appeared he was about to say something a bit more obnoxious. The shadows of the lush rain forest were ever-changing, and that amazed him somehow. Vaguely, he wondered how much farther they would have to walk through this dirt path, and if this path was the only way in and out of the island. If that was so, it was a good thing he had no issues with running. Still, he would have to change into his tennis shoes later- hiking boots were good for... uh... hiking but walking long distances required something a little lighter.

Slowly the forest began to clear and branch out into several forks. The rangers seemed to know where to go and lead the trainees with confidence. In little time, they arrived in a clearing where there were many bungalows. They appeared very cozy. "U-Uh, if you would, line up when I call your name...?" Annemarie nearly pleaded fearfully. Luckily for her, nobody was too unruly and anyone who was was given a harsh death glare from Kyler. Once everyone had lined up, the girl rummaged through her bag until she pulled out a cream flashcard.

"Ah, if it's not too much t-t-trouble, t-these are your g-groups... y-yeah? U-uhm... We'll pick the leaders of each squad and y-you can n-n-name it if you'd l-like..." She coughed once more and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Squad one. Dirge Burlesque, Noah Scarlett, and H-H-Hao Ryota... Squad t-t-t-" Before she could continue, Viva rolled her eyes and snatched the card from her hands and read it herself.

"Squad two. Lylis Newton, Rebel Cornelius, and Leonardo Silverstone. Squad three: Mai Taniyama, Cecelia Rielly, and Rainer Spades. And last but hopefully not least, Rena Sato, Derrick Richards, and Regan Hiryuu." Smiling as she finished, the girl pocketed the card and nodded. "Take a look at the people who you'll be stuck with for your entire career." She declared with a laugh. Then she whispered a few things to Kyler, who arched an eyebrow. She tapped a foot against the unpaved ground abently, resting her eyes on the barren bungalows that smelled like wet paint.

Dirge looked up as is name was called. The walk here wasn't a short one, though he didn't really mind. As the black-haired girl took over for the brunette, he couldn't shake the feeling that she seemed familiar somehow. Had he seen her before? Nevertheless, as he was called, he put on a big smile and lined up, waiting for the others to as well. Once everyone had lined up, and Dirge has checked over his teammates- a girl and a boy who looked to be around the same age as him- and waved excitedly. So these were the folks that he would be having all his adventures with. He thought of saying his name, but didn't the other two realize that he was Dirge since he was called first? Maybe they weren't paying attention, but he didn't want to sound snarky... "My name's Dirge Burlesque." He said as friendly as he could, trying to make a good impression.

Yup, yup~ that's what I was leaning toward. :D

Alright, great!

Edit: Made a post, and edited the first post par requests for editing in links.
So the Flygons are doing moonlight ritual and the Lucarios are doing Armor Prototype. Got it. Chezka, are you alright with doing Nevermelt? I have a bunch of ideas for it.

Well, I'm not sure which yet, but I know for sure it's a Hurt mission. Both are fine anyway, loads you can do with them. I'm too busy trying to will Ekirei back in here to pick right now~ XD

It might have to be just us that decide. If they don't post in five days, I'll be forced to drop them and try to get a replacement who's willing to play a similar character.
Alright, thank you. Wait, Armored Playdate? Is that Unscheduled Playdate or Armor Prototype?
Wait, who gets what? Sorry, just returned from class. Could someone list it out for me?
