GM, if you could bump things along please that would be great. The non-posters could simply be a bit late to roll-call.
Hoo boy. Powers isn't going to take working alongside regular grunts very well. This is gonna be interesting.

.A couple of minutes later she stomped heavily out of the hangar, still uncomfortable in her newly issued A15 Crusader Unit. To date she had only ever used recovery or transport units, nothing remotely powerful as an actual combat unit; it was like going from a truck to a tank. Siobhan reached their fall in position just after another Land Witch who seemed to be... eating sandwiches..? She checked the rank insignia on the Witch's arm; Sergeant, likely Liberion from her uniform. 'Feeling peckish, Sarge?' Siobhan tried to sound both friendly and respectful; chances were she was one of, if not the lowest ranked Witch present... Might as well get used to talking with deference.

Powers turned to look at the Britannian girl as she spoke up whilst chewing down a bite of spam and cheese. She looked young, fairly new to the frontlines too. Her gut reaction was to give her the cold shoulder, but a sharp reminder from her conscience kept her from falling in that old habit and make her try to make conversation instead. She's a fellow Witch Powers, not a grunt. Treat her nice. Your going to be fighting alongside her too.

Swallowing, Powers shrugged in response to her statement. "Can't help it corporal, my magic runs on my stomach. Besides, few things are better than starting the day with a nice bite to eat. Something I hope we can get despite the looks of this place." Powers said, trying her best not to sound like a flat machine with audible effort. The usual Liberion swagger was rather forced, and anyone who was listening could tell. Better divert focus before she started questioning. "The name's Sergeant Rosa Powers. Formerly attached to Rommel's panzer-witches on tank destroyer auxiliary duty. You?"

As she said that, she took the other half-sandwich out of her pocket and held it out in offering to the young girl. Best way to bond was food in Power's opinion, plus there wasn't exactly time to have a snack on the road with that Neuroi attack.
Powers snapped into action upon receipt of orders, saluting and passing the paper over to the next witch before running to the open hangar. She'd shove her bag over to her tent later. The ride to the airbase was certainly "eventful", and reaffirmed Power's own concerns about putting her faith in someone else's driving. She hated being a passenger. Next time, she was wearing her striker to base so she'd at least have a gun. In the hecticness of the ride here, she hadn't had a chance to get to know her new sisters in arms yet either. Another failing she'd have to make up for after this inspection. Maybe over a stack of sandwiches? Food was always a good way to open up a closed bunch.

Sliding in front of her familiar Hellcat land striker, Powers started giving it a once-over seeing as the base mechanics hadn't gotten to it yet. Even if they had, she always did her own maintenance checks. Especially for some of the little tweaks she made to it for comfort.

Treads: clear
Radiator: check.
Binoculars: check
Goggles and filter mask: check
Cannon firing block: check.
Electrical vertical-stabilizer cannon-assist: check.
Ammo Stock: 5 MHVAP Rounds in gun mag, 15 HE in left hip ammo drum, 15 AP in right hip ammo drum. Top up ammo at supply depot ASAP.
Sandwich grill: dirty. Wipe, then grease after inspection for snack time.

Taking a cloth to wipe off some of the sand off a tread gear before clambering up the Striker bay to hop in leg-first to the tank destroyer chassis, she then gentlely picked her cannon off the waiting rack as she was waiting for her Striker's engine to warm up from its cold start as it started to draw upon her magic for fuel and make her lion ears and tail come into existance. Come to think of it, she needed to top up on fuel herself. A little fumbling through a shirt pocket produced a paper-wrapped pair of triangle sandwiches she made just for the occasion in case she needed a top-up.

Munching away on one of the still slightly warm melted cheese and spam concoctions (she wasn't able to find proper ham in the last base) with one hand as the other slung her trusty 76mm and ammo drum clips over her shoulder and on hip pouches, Powers began to gently skii over the sandy ground over to the designated assembly line to assume ready combat stance as ordered, and awaiting the rest of the unit to arrive. If it weren't for the obvious snacking, one would think she was a Karlslander in her precision of action.

Ryuunosuke took a moment to think about his options. He then said “My dear Uncle, I am thinking that I should meet with the Boar Clan envoy first considering the fact that we share borders with them. I would like you to entertain the Dragon Clan. With their naval presence, they are practically our neighbors as well, so ignoring them would not be wise. After talking to the Boar Clan, I will talk with the Horse clan, but before all of that I think it would be wise to invite the village elder and the representative from Otawa to have dinner with me, personally. I will essentially be pushing them until last, but because of that I want to guarantee them substantial time to talk and show them that they are important to me. As for my new acquaintances, I will let them decide if they wish to accompany me or not. What does everyone think of my plan and reasoning?”

"I have no reason to argue with my lord on the order he wishes to meet his guests, they should respect your wishes on this day." Said Hana, maintaining her position near but not too close to Ryuu with her red book still in hand. "But I would urge you to treat the meeting with the Horse clan with respect, we have need of their trade. Your invitation for dinner with the elder and representative of Otawa is a also a wise move, but I urge you to also consider how others may feel slighted by the lack of a similar invitation should they catch wind of it. Your thinking is sound and yours to decide, but for every action there is a reaction to consider.

Should my lord desire it, I would gladly lend any experience and knowledge I have to your service in these meetings. If nothing more than a ready scribe to record all your dealings with clarity." Hana openly fiddled with her preferred stylus to emphasize the point.
Updated my CS with history and more personal details. Not a badass yet, but she's working towards it.

Ryuu then turned to Hana and said "Well, both of our jobs are now really about to start. Tell me while we wait for the dignitaries and diplomats to arrive. What did you think about the heir to the Boar Clan?" Although it seems like it, Ryuu was not just spending this moment to simply create conversation. This was the first of Hana's tests. Ryuu was a person who could not trust someone until he learned about how a person thinks or usually acts. Therefore, Ryuu was going to pay close attention to how Hana was going to answer to this seemingly casual question.

"He was honest my lord." Said Hana, eyes firmly locked on the paper in front of her as she was rapidly writing down a summary of the transaction and meeting. "And I do not say that lightly sire. I felt he was telling you no falsehoods about himself and what he desired to achieve here, an unusual thing to see for a person wise to the ways of merchants such as I, but I felt it was so. But such traits do not make a good noble, let alone a man of the Boar clan or its heir, and one can understand why the heir to the clan was sent to learn from us, when you have become quite a leader regardless of isolation. I think there is much you can teach him my lord, and not just fighting. He is someone worth keeping an eye on, if only to gain a better appreciation of who he really is. I cannot say anything more besides that until we may meet again."

Hana gently blew upon the ink on the paper to dry it, before holding it up to show her lord she had wrote an abbreviated transcript of the meeting for his future reference, mostly several points on what Kitsune asked for and offered. With another transaction entry marking the acquisition of the medicine and an approximated value of silver below the recording, once again in a double-entry with notations along the sides. She then set the paper aside and removed another piece to prepare to record the next meeting, before gesturing to a maid to get more paper. This was going to take a while.

Oh man, I didn't think of that plotline when making my char. That'll be fun to play with.

For some reason, I can't help but imagine some of the recent events in an exaggerated anime form. It's actually pretty funny.

So do I. Although if this were anime, I'd probably be backing up my character with a medieval powerpoint to illustrate her financial savvy. I am also picturing Hana's opening scene to be somewhat like Maoyuu Maou Yushaa's opening.

This RP is certainly getting to a good start.

Ryuunosuke was a bit flustered by Hana. He was not expecting her to come so close to him. To be quite fair, Ryuunosuke never really had much experience interacting with the other sex who were around his age. So, he was a bit uncomfortable when Hana had come closer to him. In fact, he couldn't help but shuffle a bit on his cushion. However, what she told him also made him uncomfortable as well. How did she know that Ryuunosuke was concerned about the activities of the branch family and was thinking about it at this moment? His suspicions were not eased one bit by her comment. Still, there was no evidence to prove anything, so he could not be hasty in his decisions to judge her as friend or foe. For now, he would have to continue to monitor her with a close eye. Ryuu responded to Hana's question by saying "That decision will be up to you. If you wish, you may stay and advise me while I meet other visitors and dignitaries. However, I understand that you are likely wary and tired from your travels. You may excuse yourself and rest or maybe explore the grounds of your new residence. I will leave the choice to you. Now, I don't want to keep the other guest waiting too long." He then got up and walked to the door. He slid it open to address the attending servant and said "I am now ready to address the next visitor. Will you please bring him here?" Ryuu then returned to his spot and sat back down in seiza.

"I would wish to remain by your side my lord. I am rested enough to serve." Said Hana as she shifted her position to Kyuu's side. Apart enough to retain due formality without being mistaken as a consort, but positioned so that she could watch both her lord and whom he was speaking with. Placing her ink and turning her book to a blank page, she bid a maid to provide a sitting table to work upon. She would record these sessions for her master's convenience, and to show a little of her writing skill.

Watching Ryuu greet the heir to the Boar clan and begin to converse with him, Hana jotted down notes with rapid precision, including an account regarding the gift of medicine, which she kept to a mere single-entry and estimate of its value while mentally logging the appropriate double-entry to enter into her red book later. For now, she was a silent servant. It was not her place to speak here, only to serve.
"Of course my lord." Hana replied happily, "I accept your offer of retainership, and respect your earnest honesty, and I will prove that I am worth your trust through deeds and action, not empty promises. In fact, let me repay your truth with one of my own-"

Hana shuffled closer to Ryuu and leaned forward conspiratorially, in the process letting her kimono slide a little apart to reveal some of the bounty confined within the thick folds. While she was quick to raise a hand to recover her modesty whilst coming close to Ryuu, there was no denying there was a beauty beneath the fabric. "Master Tenzen barely trusted me more than you do because of some of the secrets I hold and refuse to share. I lose little in entering your service, which is what he commanded of me, for reasons I do not know myself. Perhaps there is something going on in the capital he did not wish me to notice? Tis something to consider."

Pulling back and returning to her formal posture, Hana returned to her original calm serenity. "Do you wish me to sit with you during the rest of your meetings sire, or would you wish me to settle in and await your commands as a retainer in your service?"
