Name: Cadel Bursen

Background:
Cadel was born to an impoverished family, their only source of income was from Cadel’s father, a Mechpilot in the armed forces, but when he died, their income dried up. He never knew his father. When Cadel was 7, his family was approached by Enterprise. They offered them a new life, a new beginning, as colonists. The catch was that they would potentially be going to a very hostile planet. The Bursen Family, with no other options, took Enterprise up on their offer.

The planet they arrived on was definitely hostile. Enterprise would provide supplies and defense equipment, but everything else was up to the Colonists. It was called Hurik, a jungle and swamp deathworld rich with resources on the edge of human space. Cadel grew up around mechs, eventually operating cargo mechs at the age of 13, helping the warehouses. When he was 16, he joined up with the Colonist Guard. defending the settlements against repeated attacks from Hurik’s natural predators. At the age of 18 he volunteered for the Explorer Rangers. Squads of mech pilots who explored the lands of Hurik, searching for resources and possible settlement sites. The Explorers often came under attack, and often suffered many casualties.

After four years of exploring, he became an expert pilot, fighting against a plethora of foes. Ranging from massive crustaceans to train sized armored worms. He was considered one of the Veteran Rangers. While on another run, he learned about the politics of Hurik. There was a green movement, that demanded that the colonists stop exploiting nature and instead to coexist with it. Just recently they had gone violent, becoming a terrorist movement.
This began the Hurik Civil War. With the Explorer Rangers now becoming the Hurik Rangers. Cadel fought through years of war, becoming a war hero for the Hurik Colonists. Until a Green Movement spy forged and planted evidence that he was a fraud and a coward. The people of Hurik turned against him, exiling him.

He was given a week to gather his things and leave the planet. Instead of doing that, he spent his week gathering his trusted allies from within the Hurik military to go on an unsanctioned mission to strike against a suspected major Green Movement headquarters. He lead this attack from the front, destroying the suspected headquarters, which turned out to be just what they had thought. A headquarters. He was still exiled however, and had to leave, with nothing. Seeing all of this, Enterprise decided to ensure that they stayed on good terms with Cadel.

Personality: Cadel is a fairly friendly guy. He’s cool under fire and has the temper of an iceberg. He often makes jokes, often with slang. He likes to help people out, and has a strong moral compass. Despite his skill with the mech, he often downplays his abilities, especially now. He is wary of xenos, but is fascinated by their cultures.

Gear:

• Enterprise Armories Kyros-8V Pilot Suit. A pilot suit designed to be viable in a light infantry or survival role. The suit itself regulates temperature, is radiation and fireproof, has a built in communications system, basic HUD, respiration system, a small tank of air providing up to 5 minutes of oxygen in a non-breathable environment, and the suit is rated for EVA activity. Terrible at stopping bullets though.
• Enterprise Armories LMW-50E Handgun. A fairly typical sized pulse laser handgun. The strength of the laser is equivalent to a .50 Caliber handgun round. Useful for both combat and hunting, although not extended combat. The handgun has an internal energy cell that charges at a rate of one pulse per three seconds, with a capacity of eight pulses. Useful in a pinch, but has limited use in a combat zone.
• Small rucksack containing basic medical box, water canteen, food, a small radio with universal charger, and some extra power cells.
• Two charges of coolant flush. Coolant flushes are an expensive liquid that when pumped through the mech, eliminates most heat. Allowing the Pikeman to fire more weapons more often.
• A3MX Pikeman

The A3MX Pikeman was created by Enterprise Armories and Labs as a one-time only Mechsuit, a favor from Enterprise to Cadel. The mechsuit is one of the more advanced human-made suits out there, but however advanced it is, it is not invincible. It features advanced composite armor plating, providing protection against both ballistic and energy weapons, but unfortunately it's a jack of all trades sort of thing. Armor of the same grade that focuses on ballistic or energy protection will out-perform this composite plate. The suit itself also features communications systems, a heads up display, and multiple backup cameras in case the primary camera is disabled. The suit itself is rated for EVA activity, and is designed to be able to perform on objects with no atmosphere.
The mechsuit is actually more like a powered armor. The armor enhancing the users strength in order to help move the suit, and carry the weapons. Currently the A3MX Pikeman is armed with two MMW-920B light pulse lasers for short range anti-personnel work, an MMW-950A medium laser for when bigger enemies appear, and a HMW-740L Particle Projector Cannon. The HMW-740L PPC is a weapon that fires a concentrated bolt of protons. Observers have commented that it appears that PPCs fire balls of lightning. While powerful, the PPC generates a considerable amount of heat, the Pikeman only able to handle four shots without overheating, the fifth shutting the suit down.
The suit is powered by a miniature fusion engine, which powers everything in the suit, from the weapons to the electronics. Despite it being a fusion reactor, special attention has been made towards making it safe. The developers have done nearly everything to cause it to meltdown, only to fail because of the safety systems built into the engine. Internal and external heat sinks have been built into the suit to help prevent overheating, when the suit does overheat, it will automatically shut down to the prevent generation of additional heat, so the heat does not damage any of the systems. When the suit is not firing, or is idle, heat gradually goes down.

A Grapplehawk is a flying eagle like automaton used by bounty hunters and arbites to literally lift people off their feet and carry them to somewhere else where they can be safely detained. It is VERY metal. They have shock claws.

Yeah alright then. One or two + the grapplehawk thing(Still not quite sure what it is) is good, and bringing out the rest on a hunt is fine.

Zhevon turned around, having just laid out his ingredients and gathered his cooking utensils. "Yeah, I just have a lot to think about. Cooking helps me think." He explained, he turned back around and took off his leather gloves, revealing pale skin. He put them on the counter and picked up a kitchen knife and began to peel some of the apples over the sink. "Thinking about sending some messages about that shield, and our next move."

A moment later, the Sister came into the room. “Good evening to both of you.” She picked up one of the apples, “You never inquired about my personal rank Inquisitor Zhevon, so I will take the liberty of informing you myself about this information so we may become better acquainted."
"I uh-"
"I am Aviza Niskaru, Celestian of the Adepta Sororitas, Ebon Blade.” She introduced herself. She then turned to Stukov and discussed something about Arbites and Sisters. To which Zhevon looked at Stukov and shrugged. The Inquisitor didn't have the slightest idea of who held more authority over the other. She spoke very quickly, leaving little room to reply. “I can assist with whatever you are planning on making. From an educated guess, it’s clearly some sort of dessert, perhaps a pie, cake or another baked good. As a side note, I am wondering what that shield is, it's nothing I have ever seen anyone carry before and seems to give off an aurora of purity.” She began to peel the other apples, "I have a recommendation for the top of this pie or cake that we are making. It's a coffee cake crumble with brown sugar glaze, will go perfectly with the apples." She took a quick glance around the room, "I was wondering if you by chance may own a guitar, adding some ambiance seems like it's much needed and would be appreciated here."
Zhevon took this time to speak up, having stopped peeling his apple, "Celestian Niskaru, slow down." He said, then moving over to a cutting board and began to cut the apples into slices. "It's a simple apple pie for now, we don't have the ingredients for your recommendation. Perhaps the next time we visit one of the safe houses, we'll make your coffee cake." He explained, "And no guitar, I'll tell the guys to add guitars to the other safe houses." He looked back to Stukov, "As for the shield... It's an Astartes Stormshield, often given to Terminators or Veterans. I don't recognize the Chapter colors either, so I'll have to make some calls. It's a relic, that's for sure. Somehow blessed, it would likely disorient daemons and repel the influences of Chaos." He explained to Stukov and Aviza, after a second, he spoke up again, "Say, Psyker Velenthin has a Servoskull correct? Perhaps the skull captured some useful footage, we should review it."

Mechadendrites

Manipulator- Modified specfically for his work with cyber-beasts. The smaller pinsers allow for more accurate and precise articulation and control.

Utility- Modified to give him an array of tools for the completion of his work. Also allows minor repairs on his beasts as well as other minor repairs.

Combi-Tool- A secondary tool mechadendrite giving him a wider range of technical capabilites.

Fyceline Torch- Originally meant for cutting/welding of shipyard repairs, Malus has modified for much smaller jobs. Has also been used to conflagurate Hereteks.

Plasma Cutter- A stronger version of the Fyceline Torch intended for one purpose and one purpose only, to cut through anything that it is put in front of. Weither that is the thick metal of starship plating or greenskin flesh is entirely up to its wielder.

Medicae- Seeing a distinct need for a "battlefield surgeon" Malus quickly picked up this mechadendrite to heal others in his party.

Auspex- Implanted within his skull, Malus uses this in conjuncture with the Auspex systems within his Mastiffs and Grapplehawk for an unrivaled tracking skill.

Baelful Eye(s)- A rare piece of technology that was gathered during one of Malus' heretek hunts that he had implanted for rightous work in the name of the Omnisiah.

Concealed Bionic Weapons- Hidden in each of his arms in an Inferno Pistol again taken fron several hunts.

Skitarii Alpha Power Sword- Engraved with the symbol of the Adaptus Mechanicus to be used as a symbol of authority. It has also been used to cleave a heretek in half.

Noteable Deeds:

Heretek Hunter- Malus has spent a great deal of his time hunting down hereteks within the Calixis Sector wielding his cyber-beasts as tools. Unbeknownst to the Mechanicus Malus kept some of the tools wielded by these foul Tech-Priests and uses them to continue his hunt of criminals, both Heretek and not.

Master of the Hunt- Deciding to work closely with the Adeptus Arbitus maintaining their stables, Malus frequently traverses the Calixis Sector with the Judges during their manhunts for fugitives. It is through his creation and maintence of his cyber-beasts that gives the Arbitus their edge when hunting scum throughout the Sector.

That's kind of a lot of Mastiffs, and I'm not quite sure what a Grapplehawk is.
I don't really have a problem with a pack of 5 Mastiffs following you around, but it's going to get crowded when we get into a transport.

Having concealed inferno pistols is kind of really powerful, since they are exceedingly rare, 'close to impossible to recreate and are rarely used as only a mere handful of them may exist in each Sector of space.' Quoting from the lexicanum. Maybe swap them out for other things, like plasma pistols/hand flamers/laspistols?

Other than the concealed inferno pistols, everything is A-OK.

Thanks to Switch01, the op now has an armory page listing the ammo count for common weapons. Note that these can change with certain upgrades or modifications like expanded batteries, extended mags, etc.
