Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

@Sierra Great! I'll happily accept. Let me know if there's anything I can work on in the meantime to lessen the load.
@SierraI know I'm last on the waiting list, and that's fair, but I'd volunteer for a co-GM spot if you're up for it. I'd like to think myself pretty adept at handling the genre; I've hosted/participated in a number of mech-centric roleplays. In doing so, I've done a heap of research on modern ballistics and vehicular combat, details that add some realism and character to RPs.

You can find my past work here, if you're interested. Ordered from oldest to newest:
FRAMEs
FRAMEs: Chapter II
Mobile FRAME: To the Stars!

I've also worked to respectable extent with Silverwind Blade on the background and technical details of his GEARs roleplays, going back to OldGuild.

In any case, I'm pretty enthusiastic about mecha RPs and would like to volunteer to help the project along.
Dang, look at all that interest.
I love anything and everything to do with mechs; especially when realism and 'real-robot' mechanics are taken into account. I used to run a series of mech roleplays on the Guild, but didn't have the time or drive to keep them running for long. I'd be down for this!
So it's been stated and alluded to that a race of elves, or feylike peoples held dominion over the world at the center of the continent, where the Merinteri is now. These elves created many other races to serve them, being the progenitors of many peoples.
I was thinking that these elves might worship Taranis to the extreme, going hand-in-hand with their despotic lordship over the slave races and the material world.

The idea I had for my people, the calendians, is that they were offshoots of these elves that rebelled, with the help of Horomund, god of chaos. Their allegiance to chaos, and to Pathar and Sidhe, gradually led them down the path to their current debased, 'Chaotic Evil' state.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Mind if we clean up the Piratepad a little? Like under Mythology, we've already got gods and cosmology fleshed out, so the brainstorming bit isn't totally necessary. & the Races discussion can probably go. It'd just be nice to have a cleaner workspace.
I'm not one for lengthy exposition, so here's a little recollection of the nightmare stairs and a reasonable suggestion from Ezain.

I've gathered a few ideas regarding his SPI ability. The first is precognition - being able to perceive events before they happen. Now, while we're still weak, he might only be able to glimpse a half-second or less, but as we progress, the length of time can extend well into days or longer, and might show multiple possible outcomes.

The second is simple teleportation - warping himself short distances, and eventually, instantaneously traveling football-field lengths on both X and Y axes in rapid succession.
Ezain was the last to emerge from the stairs, trailing after the rest, who were already awakening and exploring the new atrium. He'd heeded Nera's warning to keep his eyes shut during the trip between realms. Though he'd been unable to see the horrors that swam about him, he could certainly hear, feel and smell them. Gods, he swore he could even taste them. They had pressed around him like wolves to a carcass, yet unable to take a bite. Although Nera assured he was quite safe, Ezain was sure they'd reach out and defile every fiber of his being, if they could.

But the next moment, the throat between the stairs finished swallowing him, ejecting him into a place very similar, but clearly not the same room from which he'd come. The terrible sensations of the passing lingered, but grew weaker with each moment. It was like waking up from a nightmare and realizing it had not been real. Or had it? Ezain quickly emptied his overactive mind of lingering visions, then gathered his bearings and moved to rejoin the more headstrong members of the group.

"Hey, how many more people are we waiting on to arrive?" one of his companions asked, to no one in particular.
"I'm it," Ezain spoke, stepping to join the group. Then, "It looks like the last room."

Turning his horned head about, Ezain could make out the four tunnels, roughly adjacent to another. They formed a 't,' like a compass rose, and two opposite each other both gave off a faint light from further how their lengths.

"I say we try one of those," he offered, pointing to the pair of lit halls. "At least we can see where they go."
