@vertigh0st Please try to keep them 18 to 28 in human years. They are young apprentices to start out, yes. If you can make a case as to why your character should be older, then I will accept it within reason.
@vertigh0st Demi-Spirits are now being referred to as Ethereals. I just changed the name because I wanted it to look less like a first draft.
Anyway! Yes, they CAN look human in appearance, but some of them do exhibit other characteristics like horns or wings. My character has fox ears. Just don't go too too overboard. They are humanoid.
@ShwiggityShwah They have been closed off from the world for a long time, so I don't imagine they would have much of a relationship with humans. I kind of feel like they have a protection in place when humans do show up. Because the town itself isn't closed off by any means. It's just inaccessible by anything but train. Like when humans show up, they don't really see the magic of the place unless they're more susceptible to it or unless they look too closely- which most don't tend to do.
The Ethereals I think would be still deeply hurt by the events that transpired to get them sealed in their small town. The wounding of the girl that led to the killing of humans. Most of the older ones are still very bitter about it because they lived through it. While, I imagine some of our characters might take their parents' stances on the matter, I feel like they would be more open to breaking the curse and trying to leave so they don't all die off. If that makes sense.
Cerulia- a mystical town that everyone thought was abandoned long ago. It isn’t a household name, and with one good look at this seemingly abandoned town, one would instantly know why. It’s a secluded town- only accessible by train with the tall mountains that surround it making it almost inaccessible through other means of travel. Cerulia has often been called "The City of Clouds" as it is high above sea level. During its early years of being founded, Cerulia thrived- as did its residents. Though, as the years went on, and the economy and times changed, the prosperity soon vanished.
The weather here has always been fair, and it always seems to be cool and foggy. The residents here have grown fond of their little alcove town- hidden away from the rest of the world. Many in the outside world have cited supernatural reasons as to why the population of the town dwindled down to a mere 3000 citizens, and dropping each year despite new babies being born.
Unbeknownst to those who spread the rumors, the stories are true, and far darker than they could have imagined.
The Ethereals who inhabit the town of Cerulia have been cursed to be forgotten by time. Thousands of years ago, they were blessed to live among the humans as long as they remain unseen. Living so high above the humans, it was easy to carry out the tasks they were known for- the changing of seasons, the sun, the sky, the weather patterns. But when a human gravely wounded a curious Ethereal who strayed too far from her path, they attacked the humans and killed a fair number of them in retaliation. For this transgression, they've been cursed to spend the rest of their days sealed away by human witches.

This roleplay will be conducted episodically. When the first tapers out, we will introduce the second, and so on and so forth. If you have any ideas for future episodes, I'm very open to listening, and I very much encourage it! My hope is that there will be 26 episodes in total (if we get that far) from a to z. I want to challenge myself to come up with creative titles using the alphabet that pertains to the rp topic.
In the sleepy hollow of Cerulia, it's that time of year again where the masters choose their apprentices. It's a time of festivities and celebration. Despite the happy times, several well-known and well-to-do of them have been going missing. The Elders try to keep it under wraps, but the curious ears of the young are burning with the secrets that the town has hidden for so long.

➽➽➽ ** I am red/green color blind, and have a hard time seeing red text. If you wouldn't mind, please use this sparingly if you have to use it. ➽➽➽ Please read all of the information. If you have any questions, please ask them. My moderators or I will be happy to answer them. ➽➽➽ If you join the thread, please commit to it. I'm very tired of my stories dying because people leave midway through. ➽➽➽ Our characters are Ethereals. Later on in the story, I will be opening the floor to human OCs as well, but for right now, I would like to start with the fantasy aspect. ➽➽➽ On the topic of OCs, you may have a total of TWO characters to start out with. This is to ensure that we don't have a bloat of characters right off the bat. Please take some time to develop these characters. ➽➽➽ Art/anime/illustrations for pictures please. Nothing too big, blurry, or overused. ➽➽➽ This RP is going to be rather lax. I understand that we are busy people, and that real life comes first. That is why there will be no set posting speed. All I ask is that if you must step away for any reason, that you come to me and tell me that. That being said, please do not turn the thread into a one on one. Once you've posted, please wait for at least three other character posts before you post with that character again. ➽➽➽ Respect the mods and each other. We're all human after all. ➽➽➽ Please no flower pot characters. Make interesting characters that are fun to interact with. Not someone without a backbone.

Welcome to Cherry Falls. It's a picturesque town where people seem to flock from all over the world. Situated on the coast of Oregon, this place has seen a lot of strange phenomenon throughout the years. The Cherry Falls Inn is rumored to house the spirits of those who were wrongfully murdered in the Inn. It's been a well known haunt for people to visit and experience the supposed supernatural happenings.
Truth be told, Cherry Falls in is a supernatural trap laid by evil witches. For some reason or another, you've found yourself in Cherry Falls, and find the inn there the only one with any vacancies. Upon arrival, you find the inn to give you a strange feeling, and notice that after dark, the attendees seem to become hostile- even feral. There seems to be infinite rooms and floors- even though you could have sworn it was only a small hotel from the outside.
Eventually, you find a group of lost souls like you- lost in the maze of rooms. They've set up a base in the only safe room of the Hotel- the Penthouse. They show you the note from the mysterious "management" that seems keen on leaving playful notes for the guests. It reads:
We're giving you the tools to find your way out. There is an exit; feel free to find it. Love, Management.
The randomized rooms full of horrors as tame as holiday store decorations all the way to eldritch horror abominations from the tenants worst nightmares don't help much when you're trying to find your way out. Can you work together to get through the puzzles, and manage to work your way out of the hotel?
