Prometheus The Light Bringer
Appearance:Prometheus is tall and powerful like all Primarchs, however when compared to them he is noticeably smaller and less muscular but still a god amongst men when around Astartes or simple Human beings. Prometheus is olive skinned, like that of the ancient Mediterranean empires with closely cropped black hair. Beyond the impressiveness of being a Primarch he actually looks rather plain, as if someone had simply taken any scholar and made them larger. His most distinguishing feature is in his bearing rather than appearance with infinite patience and understanding like that of a scholar or tutor. Going so far as to allow his Captains and Generals of the Imperial Army build a system wide battle strategy with merely suggestions and advice from the Primarch.
Psyker Status: Iota - Prometheus possesses a bare hint of psyker ability which largely comes in two areas. The first is Divination that manifests itself as a simple hunch or feeling. This is usually during planning or discussions of strategy that a plan will seem flawless tactically but he will modify the plan to counteract an unknown threat. It is understood that this is part of his psychic ability but is not something he has any real control over.
The second is an inspiring presence when he chooses to use it. He only uses this ability on the battle field to bolster his Astartes and Imperial army units around him. Its effect is to inspire heroic bravery and fervor for glory pushing even the average imperial infantryman into an unyielding fighter stubborn in the face of any danger.
Ideology:Prometheus is a scholar and a mentor more than he is a warrior. While he understands the necessity of the great crusade, he longs for it to be over. He would prefer to advise and teach rather than bring war and death. His vision or dream is that one day day his Legion could disperse through the Imperium acting as wise counsel to those who need it, advising planetary governors and founding scholas, but maintaining readiness to reform the Legion to defend the Imperium.
Aliens are a mixed subject to Prometheus, creatures such as the Orks should be dealt with harshly. However, the Eldar for example are ones he feels no ill intent towards. If the offer the Imperium no threat and are happy to converse and exchange knowledge Prometheus would be entirely happy to leave them be. Psykers on the other hand pose a threat to the Imperium and he is distrusting of any significantly powerful Psyker. In his opinion they should be carefully controlled and even more carefully trained in the use of their ability.
Wargear: Every Primarch is a Demi-God. They are always armed to the teeth with the most cutting edge of weapons. What legendary weapons and armours does yours wield?
Other: Life and Times: Prometheus' clone pod fell upon the world of Crete, at this point an idyllic world of beauty and natural wonder. While there were thousands of city-state nations across the planet very few of them were terribly large or used technology potent enough to wreak great damage on the natural world. The infant Primarch was found by Agathocles of Syracuse the king of Syracuse, a small city-state somewhat more remote from other islands. For years Prometheus was raised in a very peaceful environment being educated in the ways of math, logic, philosophy and politics. This was no environment for a Primarch however and the gods seemed to agree, While Promenteus was still but a child a raid from another city-state attacked Syracuse in a wildly successful attack they slaughtered the vast majority of the population including the King. Prometheus reacting on instinct killed several of the attackers and rallied a small unit of soldiers to drive the raiders out. It was a futile display, as the kingdom of Sytacuse was razed.
Prometheus collected what few soldiers remained and found several intact naval ships, He adventured as the Boy Pirate for many years growing his pirate fleet, teaching and training his pirates into the most fearsome band on the seas. When he was 16 he took his band of pirates and invaded the nation that slaughtered his home kingdom capturing the island in mere hours. In the Vaults beneath the city held the most precious artifact of mankind, An STC fragment. Even for the Imperium it would be prized but for Prometheus and the backwater world that hardly used firearms it was an unstoppable advantage.
The STC fragment was the plans for a simple Las-Carbine. Why the weapon was not produced and used is a mystery, though it seems likely that the owners did not know or did not understand what it was. After capturing his first City and finding an STC fragment for a weapon far greater than any other on the world he quickly built the manufactorum to mass produce the weapon. Within weeks the Manufactorum was making Las-Carbines and Prometheus took the powerful weapon and equipped his soldiers deciding on a simple phalanx formation to make a wall of las fire to make it impossible for any enemy to stand in their way.
It took many years of bloody war for the conquest of the planet, but his advantage of intelligence, tactical ability and firepower each city-state fell before him one after another. Once the world was his he grew the planet quickly technology that was on the verge of being lost was reclaimed. Simple star ships and construction methods rediscovered made the planet a powerful world that grew quickly and made the conquest of nearby planets possible. The system of Olympus supporting several colonized worlds that Prometheus conquered for himself and the Empire centered around Crete.
