Personality
Perhaps as a result of his difficult childhood, Alex is a cold individual, both paranoid and borderline sociopathic. Most notably, prior to his human death at Penn Station, he released the deadly Blacklight virus simply to spite those who denied him information. His motivations and plans are utterly personal and he rarely takes human cost into account, being able to murder scores of humans without remorse or hesitation.

Unfortunately, after repeated betrayals and mishaps during his time away from NYZ after the initial outbreak, Alex's worldview became increasingly cynical and nihilistic. He decided that stopping the outbreak was a mistake and started a new one himself to usher in a new race; he claimed he was making a better world by doing so. In his new role as the leader of the Infected, Alex pursued his goal of spreading the virus in a far more active and aggressive manner than Elizabeth Greene ever did, even inserting spies within both Blackwatch and Gentek and using their resources and scientists to do so.

Backstory
In the beginning...he was Alex J. Mercer.

A scientist working for Gentek Industries, the business that would be his downfall. The events that had caused this transformation is...hazy, but everything after that is a bit more clear. He had woke up...in a morgue, with scientists talking over his cold body. Out of shock, surprise, and fear, Alex had killed and consumed the scientists, not even knowing what he had done. Shaken from this event, the Virus shambled through the building, attracting unnecessary attention until he found the exit and entered an alley-way. There, he learned of some of his power, hopping an incredibly large steel fence and taking off running at scary speeds not long after. To make an incredibly long story short, Alex went through many betrayals, hardships, and quests, until he was finally killed by the very man that he had infected with the Virus. Then...he woke up here....

Equipment
Alex carries a small photograph of his sister, Dana, but other then that he keeps nothing permanently on him.

Default Level of Ability

Superhuman Strength - His incredible strength allows him to lift cars, trucks, tanks, APCs, and helicopters and throw them great distances. He is far stronger than any normal human or most basic Infected. His true strength is unknown, but it is thought to be Godly.

Superhuman Speed - Alex's speed is likewise enhanced. He can achieve running speeds surpassing sport vehicles, and perhaps faster..

Superhuman Agility - He can perform amazing parkour feats such as flips and rolls and maneuvers over and around vehicles and debris with little trouble.

Superhuman Endurance - Mercer's endurance far exceeds that of a human's by leaps and bounds. His body no longer possesses weak bones or vital organs, and thusly, most physical harm doesn't harm him at all..

Superhuman Senses - Alex's vision and hearing is enhanced, allowing him to see beyond the visible spectrum and hear across great distances even with physical insulation.

Regeneration- Alex's regen allows him to instantly regenerate from most wounds as soon as they happened, thus his endurance..

[I]Shapeshifting - Alex can shift into anything he has consumed, and he regains the knowledge of the thing he has consumed. Similarly, he can turn any parts of his body into anything of his imagination, although he mostly uses his Blade arm(s), Claws, Whip Blade, Hammer-Fists, and anything dealing with tendrils and spikes. He has consumed millions of people and creatures as well.

Fujimi Academy

The starting point for when everything went to absolute Hell. A school, originally funded back in 1997, and now the monumental, highest-rated school it is today. It is located in Tokonosu City. The school is filled with a variety of students, some all the way from America. The school's original foundation is the basic cement/stone mixture you would see in any other schools today. The former material used for Fujimi Academy was wood from a Sakura tree, but the staff quickly reinforced it with actual sturdy material once an American student set the whole academy ablaze. Large iron gates separates the school's courtyard from the outside world, which is, in this case, a long blacktop road surrounded by forests on both sides. The road leads both North and South, where North is where Tokonosu City lies, only a few miles away, while South leads far away, somewhere into the mountains.

It was simply another day inside of Fujimi Academy. Birds were chippering amongst siblings, teachers sat inside of air-conditioned classrooms, boredly taking role, while students meandered the halls, either skipping, or carrying out an errand for a lazy professor. Unknown to the populace...this wouldn't be a simple school day, like the rest of the days. It would be a Hell of a lot worse...'cuz zombies n shit.

Appearance:
Kazuto is a tall young man, standing around the height of 6 feet, give or take an inch. His skin is rather...peachy, not pale, yet not exactly tan. It sort of has that tone you would see out of someone that spends an equal amount of time outdoors as he does indoors. His build is also peculiar. While most in school are either bone thin, or a bit overweight, Kazuto has a very lean, streamlined, and muscular look about him, from years of Martial Arts and Kendo training. He weighs something close to 160 or 150, as this goes hand in hand with his build...let's just say a kick or punch from him will send you flying with broken bones and broken dreams. Similarly, due to his surprising strength and speed, Kazuto has been seen slicing right through targets with his dulled bokken. This has caused investigations to go out and see if he has sharpened his homemade wooden sword, but that is not the case. It's just Kazuto's skill when it comes to swords to come out into play.

A narrowed, half-lidded appearance his chestnut brown/amber eyes hold, they are lashed by thin eyelashes. Kazuto's features would be described as 'angular' or 'mature', with chiseled cheek bones and a sharp, yet defined chin.

His hair is an orange, silky, and feathery pool. While it isn't curly, his hair wouldn't be described as straight either. It can be called wavy, because, as stated, it was a mix of the two. It's also rare to see Kazuto comb or brush it, as he prefers the mismatched strands and such. As for the accurate color description, it's orange. His eyebrows, sharp and arched, matches his hair color, as in most cases. Due to his hair color, he often gets teased about it...which, even more often, ends with the assailant being kicked through the window of the high school.

Personality:
In general, Kazuto is a stoic, distant young man who would rather date a knife, rather than an actual living, breathing female. As long as you're respectful, kind, and generally not an abominable hindrance, then you can expect him to treat you at arm's distance - sure, he can joke sometimes, but he's not your friend. If you're an idiot, then you can sort of expect a severe tongue lashing and a disdainful flick of the middle finger. Anymore than that? Well...let's just say that he won't be as forgiving. He's rather easy to get into an argument with, due to him coming off as aloof and uncaring to the lives of others, and despite him staying calm, he's also easy to anger and annoy. Kazuto is inwardly 'kind' despite his hard exterior, and he doesn't mind helping others; although he may seem gruff about it. He is a nice enough guy - maybe a bit too cold and uncaring, but if you're not, in his eyes, frustrating, than he'll be kind to you as long as you return the favor. Under stressful situations, Kazuto is usually the guy who takes charge, unless someone else does, which, in that case, he sits back and observes the proceedings with an analytical air.

Kazuto could be pretty laidback if you catch him on a good day.

Biography:
Born on the streets of Kiriyoto, a rather urban, violence-driven city, Kazuto's parents weren't very...famous people. They were middle classed men and women, with his father, Saki, being a firefighter, and his mother, Lucy, being a teacher for mentally challenged children. Life growing up wasn't all that exciting. Kazuto spent his time either studying with his mother; he was a very intelligent and sharp boy growing up, and despite his mom being a handicap teacher, she was also a genius, and taught Kazuto better than what most college professors could ever hope of doing. When he wasn't studying, Kazuto spent his time at the nearby dojo, learning self defense techniques with the old sensei there. Turns out that the young orange haired boy had a knack for fighting, and he quickly went up in ranks, being invited to the Championship Kendo Tournament at the young age of ten. Of course, he won it, and was rated number one youngest Kendo Champion in all of Eastern Japan. The prize money allowed him and his family to move out of their shitty home, and after moving, Kazuto continued his training, becoming the Kendo and Martial Arts leader of his new school, and generally working towards a future. That is...until all of this happened.
