Finnos was still increasingly busy at work as all of his siblings and Father were bestowing their gifts, some that would aid, some not. Finnos was on the earth now, crouched by a small river. His tanned feet dangled in the riverbed, as he was sitting on an overhanging branch. This new feeling of water between his wriggling toes was extremely satisfying.
His hands, though, were sculpting with astonishing speed. The micro organims he again picked and prodded at, and with the help of mutation that his chaotic brother had given, he was able to shape humans in multiple ways. Like his animals, he wanted their race to be diverse and beautiful. He had already created several species of Man, some darker skinned, some olive skinned, a few tall and a few short, with different facial and body stuctures, and their bodies lay beside him in a trance-like state, not yet having been given Life or Wisdom.
Content with his creation of more Man, Finnos leaned forward and scooped some mud from the riverbed. He tossed it in mid-air, and as it fell towards the water it began to take a humanoid-form. After landing in the water, it emerged. It's skin was chocolate in color, and it held the form of a Woman, except with animalistic mannerisms. It looked confusedly at him with wide amber eyes. Water slipped off Its figure, and the river continued to calmly flow just as before. It could easily be said It surpassed the beauty of the Humans he had created.
"Hello there!" Finnos waved at his frightened newborn creation. It's eyes roved around, trying to determine where it was. Finnos explained succinctly. "I took a piece of my essence and bestowed it upon you, so that you may assist me in my fine Task. You are not a god, but not Human, and neither Animal. " He paused, and It nodded for him to continue.
"You have the abilities of animal creation, and you will go forth as my emmisary and spread my gift of Instinct to all my Animals. After you have completed that, you will start your own Work making my Insects. Begone."
"What is my name?" It asked, eyes narrowing. "What will my people be called if You see fit to have us also fill this place I walk upon?"
"It is up to Ybris my brother and Balsis my father if after you are done to continue living. If so, I will create for you a mate. For now, oh singular child bourne from a part of my very being, you will be called the Faenos."
With a bow of its head, Finnos dismissed It and It teleported away to start the job commanded.
Looking to the side at his inanimate Humans, Finnos thought of his Brother Ybris, and how he would ask for Life once more for these new creations. In that instant he appeared.
"Brother..!" He started, but trailed off when he saw the despisable thing in his hand. His face contorted from cherubic to infuriated, utterly confused and unhappy.
"Did you Twist this Life I had made with your aid, brother? Why would you?" Finnos felt betrayed. He had never intended for any of his creations to end up this way. He saw the blood on it's beak, and sensed far away that one of the other 'birds' he had made was gone from this world. Finnos let out a feral growl. "This abomination cannot be allowed to live." His white teeth clenched, and he held his hand out. "Give it to me."

The first Faenos wandered, and wherever It went, it blessed animals, bird, and fish with Finnos's gift of Instinct. They were no longer worthlessly dumb, but not gifted with Wisdom like the humans were. They would still be lesser to them. Still, It fondly looked at all the beasts that It encountered.
The first Faenos then, as It traveled, weaved from plant, water and micro-organism, the Insects It had been told to create. They flew, crawled, and scuttled about by the thousands when It was done.
Brought with pity for these dimmunitive things, the first Faenos gifted them secretly a small bit of Instinct. It watched in admiration as they busied themselves, some by pollenating flora and fauna so that they too, could fill the earth and make it beautiful.
