Welcome! I hope you like self-deprecating weebs, because you're in a topic written by one. I'm looking for one or two 1x1 RPs to get myself back into writing regularly.

Guidelines

As someone who is growing ever-further past the magic age of 18, I prefer my roleplaying partners to be in the same demographic. I don't want to go to jail for accidentally seducing someone underage with my ridiculously sexy roleplaying skills and beguiling acts of shitposting.

Romance between our characters is fine, but I have to know you for at least a bit before I feel comfortable doing anything lewd. I'm pure and innocent like that. By the by, if we decide to go this route, I can do MxF or FxF pairings, and I can play characters of either gender.

I'm fine with violence, profanity, sexual references, blood, and gore. The only thing that starts to make me cringe are depictions of sexual assault. Implications in backgrounds and "off-screen" and whatnot are fine, but actual depictions in the RP itself are just a tad too much for me. Not that I've ever seen anything like that here on the Guild, but better to be safe and open, I suppose.

I would like to engage in at least a bit of collaborative world-building before we start, so that we're on the same page. The key word there is "collaborative." I want someone to rant with, not someone to rant at.

Concerning fandoms, I prefer OCs to canon characters for the most part. Maybe the story might call for a canon character to show up as a NPC cameo or something, and that's fine. But for the most part, OCs.

I prefer partners who can handle RPing multiple characters, even if it's one main character and some side characters or NPCs. I don't want to carry the load all myself, though I totally could. I can bench press 85 pounds and then some.

I would put myself towards the upper limit of what is considered casual. I post about 2-4 paragraphs a post, perhaps more depending on the situation. It usually takes me about a full day, maybe two, to get a post done. I like to keep you updated, but if for some reason you don't hear from me, feel free to give me a nudge. I expect about the same from my partners, but if you need an extra day or so to post just let me know and I'll be patient. To prove you've read at least this, please include a picture of an anime girl and/or a cute puppy with your interest to appeal to my delicate sensibilities.

If you want to drop, just let me know and I won't hold it against you. I actually won't hold it against you anyway, but come on, do you really want to make me sad? For this handsome face of mine to be marred with sorrow would certainly cause a lag in birth rates across the world. If I start to feel bored or just bleh myself, I won't leave you hanging. I'll tell you if there's something we can do to fix it, or maybe that I just need a week or so to recharge, and we'll go from there.

I would prefer a thread because I like the organization, but I'm not against PMs. Regardless, I would like for us to get to know each other and chat about stuff not related to the RP, but if you don't like that kind of off-topic chatter just let me know and I'll understand.

Fandoms

Now with all that out of the way, on to the fun stuff. Here are a few pretty rough ideas I have.

Here are some fandoms I don't really have ideas for, but wouldn't mind RPing if you had some.

  • Bioshock (the first two games please, no time travel nonsense for me)
  • Resident Evil (the games, I've played 1, 4, and 5)
  • Fallout (3 or New Vegas based)
  • Golden Sun
  • Anything mecha-based

Pairings

I'll bold what I would want to play. If nothing's bolded, I have no preference. Feel free to use these pairings with the fandoms above, if you so desire.

  • Exorcist x Ghost
  • Modern-day Royalty x Bodyguard (Slightly Full Metal Panic! inspired, if you're familiar)

I think that about does it. Feel free to PM me or leave a post here expressing your interest with the aforementioned appeal to my sensibilities, and I'll get back to you. I'll keep this topic updated and bumped as need be.

Thanks for reading!
I know I said I was interested, but something came up and I'm afraid I won't have as much time to devote to this as I'd like. Really sorry! I'll let you know if my schedule ever frees up.
I had two link cables, and my friend and his brother had one, so we always did multiplayer. Some of my best childhood memories right there. It was a blast during multiplayer: fighting over drops, coordinating menus, shouting out catchphrases for combo attacks. Ring of Fates was a good game, but I remember being ridiculously disappointed by it. Echoes of Time was a bit better. I didn't even bother with the Wii game or the kingdom ones. I wish it'd get a proper sequel (or hell, even just a remake) on the 3DS.

I actually started a new game up the other day on my old Wii, funny enough. Lost my GBA though, so I ordered one off of LukieGames and I'm waiting on it to continue (dem bonus points).

It actually wouldn't be too expensive to get all the stuff together now (the game's like $15, used GBAs are like $25 each, and the cables are like 10$ each). Assuming you already have a Gamecube/Wii and the game, it'd be about $35-40 a person. Not exactly cheap for a 10 year old game, but you'd get more out of it than a lot of $60 titles nowadays, I'm sure.
Super interested! I'm assuming the main story will be followed pretty closely? Though hopefully each myrrh tree won't be visited multiple times. I think that might become a bit tedious unless you have something planned.

Anyways, I'll be keeping an eye out for the OOC.
Sorry! Early midterms are a pain in the ass. I'll catch up this weekend. Fortunately, Freya's not a particularly complex character to keep in the background.
Posted! A bit late, but well, what can one do? Besides get motivated faster, I guess... I'm assuming the soldiers that were in the immediate vicinity are wasted. I'll post again for Freya if Jericho or Gracelyn talk to her, but if not, I'll wait until the forward march Wednesday night.
Not one to waste an opportunity, Freya decided to go after the soldiers that survived -- yet were still trapped -- by Jericho's Blizzara spell. "Phew," she whistled, "almost makes me wish I specialized in that kind of flashy magic." She approached the soldier nearest to her, who had his arms free. He swung at her with his sword, but Freya swatted it away with her left gauntlet. She stepped behind him and embraced his neck. With a violent twist, she drew out a short yelp followed by a loud crack. A soldier who saw this started struggling, and managed to crack and shatter the ice at his feet. "Die!" he cried, as he charged at her, sword drawn. "Oh, I like this." she said with a smile. "Come, then!" The soldier swung down at her, and Freya blocked with her left gauntlet. Though the gauntlet's metal protected her from any serious injury, it was still a painful affair, and she grunted as she flung the blade away and stepped to the right to avoid the possibility of being stabbed with a counter. As she shifted, she reared back her right fist and jammed the spike of the gauntlet through the soldier's visor, causing him to stagger backward and clutch his face -- she had managed to poke out his eye and draw a considerable amount of blood, and the poison started slowly eating away at his body. Freya smirked and stepped forward to deliver the finisher, but was surprised when the soldier managed to compose himself enough to flail his sword in her direction. The blade slashed her across the collarbone -- inches away from her neck. It was a shallow cut -- drawing only a few drops of blood -- but it was enough to stop Freya in her tracks and draw her lips up in a smile. "An excellent attempt!" she cheered the soldier's effort in earnest, while he was nearly doubled over in pain. "You may take your accomplishment to the afterlife! If you have the strength, try and finish me off!" She stepped forward with her fists raised, but the poison burned at the soldier's insides. He couldn't muster an attack, so Freya ended it by driving her left gauntlet through the soldier's stomach and kicking him back. He fell and writhed on the ground, no longer any threat since the blood loss and poison would claim the last bits of his life in seconds. With no soldiers around Freya felt the cut the soldier had left her. It stung a bit, and she steeled herself. The next group wouldn't be caught off-guard by a sudden break-in, and she would need some extra protection. When the time came, she would need to shield herself with a Protect spell. In the meantime, she felt the need to regroup with her comrades. Freya appeared by Gracelyn, and watched her with curiosity. "Tasting blood, huh?" she asked. Both of her gauntlets were bloodied and she kept them held down loosely at her side, leaving a trail of red drops wherever she walked. "Well, I guess if someone eats your body's home cooking, it's only fair to take some of theirs. I prefer my meat well-done, though."
Ah, I would say go ahead and post now, Swordfish. I'm a bit swamped with work for the evening. I'll post tomorrow detailing all the heads Freya's busted while Jericho and Gracelyn have been doin' their thang.
Private Spectral, reporting. Seems to be Kissu and Dooly who haven't posted yet, Sarge.
Gracelyn blew through the door, and this was all Freya needed to spring into action. She charged past her comrades, who was earning their first kill of the night, and spotted a soldier across the way who was watching his friend's throat get cut with a wide stare. "You," she called, thrusting a pointed finger towards him. Magical energy began surging through her body, coloring her figure with a blazing green aura. "Watching's rude. Let's have our own fun! Lights out." The soldier readied his rifle, but Freya was quicker. From her finger came an orb of black that rocketed toward the soldier and stuck to his face, engulfing his entire head in an inky cloud. His grip on his rifle fumbled and he fired into the floor, while Freya closed the distance between them. Her feet met the floor with booming thuds as she wound up a haymaker with her right fist. On impact, the spike of her gauntlet smashed through the soldier's chestplate, piercing deep into his chest and injecting him with Poison magic. Freya kicked him off and he staggered backwards, clutching the hole in his chest. He fell back against the wall and slid down as the poison drained away his last bit of life. Freya spun around, her right gauntlet dripping with red. "Alright!" she cheered. "I give him two points for getting a shot off."
