@Akayaofthemoon I'm really sorry to hear that Akaya, nobody will blame you if you take all the time you need. It's awful that you have to be going through this, it sounds like it's been going on for a while. I don't have much, but maybe I could try to get some money together and send you some so you could take a day or two off of work?
@HaltingBlooper Hm, I'm no economist so I can't say. I'd have to know more about living expenses in Oregon to say for sure, but we get by with a 5.75 percent sales tax just fine in my state, so maybe it'll turn out well?
@Raijinslayer At least it was easy, but yeah sometimes that happens. Usually my professors tell us when they need to cancel a class but one time one didn't because it was a family emergency. Hope the professor has a good reason for it, especially if it's a long drive for you to get to school.

@HaltingBlooper The ground is very dry and littered with dead plants in most places, and you usually have to pay for water. I don't know if the latter thing is because of the drought or because it's an expensive state.
