Sorry for the 'have not posted yet', I'm trying to decide when to actually come in to the story.

Name: Kurono Yoshimitsu

Appearance: A small, frail frame standing on two spindly legs covered by the wide legs of his garb. Wearing standard shinigami attire, Kurono does little to stand out. He has black unkempt hair of medium length and wide, puppy-dog-like eyes that seem far too deep.

Personality: Yoshimitsu has an iron will but a non-confrontational attitude. Loud noises startle him easily but he's not quick to run away unless the situation is hopeless. Yoshimitsu isn't exactly outgoing but he can communicate information well when the situation calls for it.

History: Yoshimitsu does not have a notable childhood. He admired the Seireitei and wanted to be a part of the organization out of wonder.

Spirit Appearance: A humanoid made of what appear to be large rough chunks of vibrant green emerald, each at least 3 inches in diameter, with larger chunks comprising the 'musculature' such as the biceps and pectoral muscles. There are no physical connections between each piece aside from them occasionally rubbing together. A single chunk of emerald with 3 sockets that appear to be eye holes rests upon the stone that resembles the neck, each socket glowing with a different primary color; red to the left, blue to the right, yellow on what would be the forehead. Draped in a loose, golden robe that would cover the essentials on a normal human, it hovers

Inner world: A small isle with golden sands surrounded by an endless emerald sea. There rests a giant pillar in the center of the island that reaches up further than the naked eye can see. Atop the pillar is the same island, surrounded by the same green ocean. The water is very shallow, but cannot be seen entirely through.

Shikai appearance: A silver metallic-looking whip extends from an emerald-colored hilt. Despite being flaccid and free-moving, it manages to be sharp from any angle it strikes, and slices foes with what appears to be a round edge. The blade extends when used in a whip-like fashion.

Bankai appearance: Not Achieved

1. Silver Wind (A spinning motion of the blade over Kurono's head causes the Zanpakuto's silver edge to create the appearance of a silver dome around him. Any flesh that touches the dome is flayed.)

Long Nights, Impossible Odds - A Jojo's Bizarre Adventure / Gladiator RP

The Jojo's universe is fertile ground for eccentric characters and off-the-wall powers. As well, there is a lot of history in the universe that is left unchecked. The idea is, the universe has been written and rewritten a countless number of times (if the novel is to be believed), so wouldn't it be possible if, say, in ancient Rome, an emperor were to develop a Stand power? What if he were to come into possession of the Bow and Arrow? What if he were to shoot the losers of his gladiatorial spectacles with said Bow and Arrow to bring their own Stand to life? What if he forced these Stand-using Gladiators to fight for his own private amusement?
Oh, to the uninitiated, the rules of Stands in this RP will be as follows:

• A Stand protects its user, like a guardian. The name comes from "standing by" the user, sometimes using their powers without direct orders in order to protect the user, and by extension, themselves.


• A person can only have one Stand, though that Stand can go through metamorphosis to evolve (Echoes, for example).


• As a Stand is part of the user, damage is reflected between the two. For instance, in most circumstances, if the Stand's leg is sliced off, the user will lose their leg as well.


• Stands can only be seen by Stand users. There are exceptions, but only with Stands that are bound to physical objects.


• The further the Stand is from its user, the weaker the Stand becomes, with most only being capable of acting within three meters.


• Stands are usually bound to the user's body.


• As Stands are just images created by energy, the users are able to shrink them, mostly to enter the body of the opponent and attack its inside. Staying small, however, is very hard and takes a lot of energy.


• Most Stands have no personal goals, serving their master without question. Stands who don't have users will generally go wild. Some Stands show personality, speaking to others besides their master, but most still serve their master without question.


• Stands are named after musical bands, albums, and songs.

The general idea of the RP would be in two parts; the interaction of the characters outside of the arena, be it in the dregs that the losers are kept in or the palace that only the Emperor's most prized fighters reside in, and the combat in the Colosseum and the reactions of the onlookers. Stand powers can vary from dangerous in combat to the truly unusual, having little destructive power but a variety of uses when out of the ring. Please note that Stands only develop in hosts with strong will or fighting spirit, which shouldn't be a problem for Gladiators but still keep in mind that most users are either Capable, Noble in intent, or straight-up Psychotic.

Stands are rated on their abilities from E to A, C essentially being the ability of a normal person, in the following categories;

• Destructive Power: (Exactly what it says on the tin.)


• Speed: (Quickness of movement and reaction time.)


• Range: (Active distance a stand can be from its user. E: 2m, D: 10m, C: 20m, B: 50m, A: 100m.)


• Durability: (How much abuse the stand can take before grievous harm comes to its user)


• Precision: (Aim, accuracy, fine motor control.)


• Developmental Potential: (How much a stand can evolve or still be mastered. Most players would begin with A or B in this stat as they have a lot of potential that is not utilized on having a Stand thrust upon them.)

So yeah. I'll flesh out the actual plot information more if this takes off at all, but right now this is mostly an infodump for newcomers to the series who might still be interested.

Appearance: Broad face and wide neck with a chin-strap beard and a shaved head, a gold earring hanging from his right ear. Blue eyes that are often just open a slit because his toothy grin is so wide. Has beautiful, perfect teeth. His shoulders are extremely broad, outlining a heavily muscled physique with surprisingly thin-looking legs given the size of his upper body. Wears a striped white and blue button-down shirt and a pair of khaki-colored shorts. Keeps a gold chain around his neck.
Name: Hernando Santana (Prefers 'Santana')

Personality: Santana has an upbeat temperament, regularly keeping a jovial grin planted on his broad face. Though he is heavily muscled from steering the ship, he prefers to spend his time on shore slacking off and eating fatty foods. Santana prefers sweet flavors and loves fruits and desserts more than anything, though he'd never turn down a meal regardless of its content. Acting as a big brother type, Santana is very gentle with his friends and always gives troubled people a shoulder to cry on. He fights for the underdog, and will come to the defense of any child in need or beggar down on his luck. He seems to have an ulterior motive for becoming a pirate other than his own fortune, but despite being very open with his feelings he's very quiet about his past and motivations.
