Bio

Just a humble born Canadian, who has been roleplaying and writing for over 15 years, looking to scratch the creative itch and write glorious sci-fi stories of war and peace!

Not much more to say here, really. I suppose I could fill it in with all sorts of info, but who really reads these?

Here's an old favorite of mine on forums - people write a story five words at a time. It HAS to make sense grammatically, but the true joy is how people will come up with random things.

How it works: Copy-paste the previous entry into your post and add five words of your choosing. I'll start,

In the land before time,
So a while back I had this pic done up of (mostly) all my characters and aliens. The only one missing is my turian OC.

creepycatproductions.deviantart.com/ar..

Arts is not mine, is done by a pair of incredibly talented friends I have on the intertubes. Just wanted to share!

They are all mine, and I am all theirs. Copyright? Dibs? IDFK. Just wanted to share! Will try to post the actual pic here later.

I've heard about the facial expressions issue, and kinda seen it myself. Honestly, I don't care. I got the game for the story, not to stare at peoples' faces. It's a LOOONG game. Two weeks and I've only just finished the first planet.

IDK. Just slapped together.

Emerging from Miramar Station as a skilled flyer at the height of the Tryad Wars, David Turcotte quickly rose through the ranks and killboards as one of the best fighter pilots known to exist, earning the callsign of Stardust. His talent quickly moved him up to squadron command of the 102nd Silver Wolves assault fighter squadron, and he was hand-picked to be part of the elite prototype 1st Gunstar strike squadron, flying overpowered heavy gunships against hostile starships. His tactics and strategies refined the deployment and use of gunships in Terran fleets, working in concert with their carrier against hostile targets large and small.
After the Siege of Duronis where he was thrust into command of a starship, his rise through the ranks through innate skill proved meteoric, eventually assuming command of the entire Terran fleet at the Siege of Pashaddis and the Tryad Armistice. He has fought in every major war of the last several decades and his battle tactics, though unorthodox, emphasize heavy firepower and mobility and maximizing the use of terrain features. His refinement of tactical doctrine has played a hand in shaping interstellar combat for decades to come. He is well versed in all forms of combat, from unarmed hand-to-hand, flying fighters, commanding starships all the way up to full fleet operations.
@Agathon Glad you like! I have no real set requirements in mind for post length, I'd assume that it's in the advanced thread board that it would imply long, thought out posts with good grammar and punctuation. Not too long though, don't want one person telling the whole story! (Note to self!)

I should add that players don't have to be human, either. One of my characters is avian; she's the executive officer of the ship. So if anyone wants to be, say, a Klingon, or Turian, or Eldar, whatever works for you.
Granted. But it happens to someone else instead.

I wish I had a cookie.
I ban all previous posters for playing the banning game! :P
@ EVERYONE

Welcome! :D
HEY! Another Mass Effect fan! Have you played Andromeda yet?

Also, I've posted something in the advanced interest check forum, please feel free to check it out!
Situation: Pirates have overrun the garrison defending the planet Central, the regional hub for commerce and trade within Sirius Sector. Planetary population held hostage and system is effectively blockaded.

Opposition: Approximately two battlegroups of pirate cruisers, raiders, and boarding carriers, led by an old assault carrier, the Acheron. Planetary defenses and civilian reports confirm pirate forces are concentrated in and around planetary orbit, but sufficient strength present patrolling the outer system to prevent a sneak deployment in the system’s outer regions.

Assets: 1x starship of no greater than capital-type designation max per player(ie, battlecruiser, battleship, or heavy assault carrier), plus attendant assets such as fighters, boarding craft, etc.

Restrictions: Limited use of strategic weapons (antimatter bombs, dimensional interrupts, etc.) no godmodding and no superweapons.

General idea for plot is above, for interested players. (Second time writing this as my browser crashed!) Some roles interested players could fill would be those that participate in the fight in space, and maybe a couple people to go to the surface and find out why the mercenaries, it is later revealed, are working for a group of people who faced off against players' character in the past and lost, and now seek revenge, but also how they managed to secure control or otherwise deactivate the surface to orbit weapons. This is if someone's more comfortable in an urban combat setting than in space. (Infiltration and stealth ships are totally a thing!)

I should also point out that this can be cross-universe as well. Anime, Star wars, star trek, Babylon 5, Warhammer 40K, Battlestar Galactica, Mass Effect, all are welcome! My characters and ships use a mix of all of them.

Also, this would be PvE; all participants would collaborate to move the story along; the end goal is to stomp on the pirates, but not before they put everyone through the wringer. I have some ideas on an endgame but don't want to put anything concrete down; I'm just looking to see who might all be interested and where we take it!
