JEMMA
The poor girl put her things in her backpack and stood from the chair, walking towards the teacher's desk. Theodore O'Callaghan was intimidating. He was someone you could tell not to fuck around with. And she honestly had no intention to. It was now a matter of survival and she was determined to make it out alive. She didn't even want to know what happened to the other assistant. She was too scared. He didn't wait for an answer when he asked if she knew where the teacher's lounge was, but she nodded her head anyway, and exited the room right after him.
It was maybe a five minute walk to the lounge, and she turned a few hallways before getting there. There were a couple of teachers in there but they didn't seem to care about her presence much. Staring at the empty coffee machine, she realized he didn't tell her how he took his coffee. So she made a new pot and checked her phone for a few minutes while it poured.
Do you remember that professor I told you about? The one that made that girl cry? Well, he made someone else cry today and chose me as his new assistant! I'm screwed!, she quickly typed a message to Caron.
After the coffee was done, she poured it in a disposable cup and placed a lid on top, putting a sleeve around the cup so she wouldn't get burned. She wasn't sure where his office was, so she timidly looked at the other professors.
"Um, excuse me? Do you know where Professor O'Callaghan's office is?"
The woman lifted her head from the paper she was reading and looked at the coffee cup. "Are you his new assistant?" Jemma nodded yes. "Oh, my poor child. I'm sorry."
Jemma didn't know what to say. She just looked at the woman while she offered her a condolent smile.
She took too long and she knew it, she didn't even want to imagine the things he'd do to her because of that. She would be murdered, for sure! She knocked on the door carefully before entering. "I'm sorry for the wait, there wasn't any coffee left in the lounge, I had to make a fresh pot."
