Appearance:
Regular; 5ft 5 short spiky black hair soft facial features and a rough beard, bright blue eyes and wears glasses
Specialized; Black saber suit with a Deep red tint the words "as i march through the valley of death none shall oppose me but myself" written on his left arm. the suit is Compact and lightweight sacrificing protection for mobility
Personality: Derek is a Foolhardy intelligent man, He looks at everything in as many way as possible. and tries to evaluate every possible outcome before he acts
Biography: Derek was born on a small settlement on the Moon, His family had been one of the first to settle there during the first wave of expansion. Many of them had been engineers and scientists. No one in Derek's family had been in the Military for years, But after a Jupiter Freedom Alliance attack on a near by Settlement Derek enlisted in the Marines at the age of 18 as an intelligence expert. He wanted to put an end to the fighting and believed that he was the one to do it.
His missions included hacking com lines decoding encrypted messages as well as more mundane tasks as wiping security camera footage opening locked doors and background checks on targets. Derek though had never taken part in open warfare. He had killed a fair amount of people that stood between him and his objective
His combat career has been one full of success having been deployed on 26 missions often alone with each mission being reported as complete success.
With each Mission he completed he felt like he was meant to be here fighting. He Often wondered what would happen if he failed, and this really worried him but through his determination and skill Derek kept winning.
On his 20th birthday the Jupiter Freedom Alliance hit his hometown with a suicide bomber killing his family. This event made Derek more determined to rise through the ranks and avenge those who had been killed in this war. He was selected to Join the Saber program at the age of 22 For his computer warfare skills, and was trained up to be able to fight in more combat situations.
Specializations: Derek has a great ability to determine the best course of action for the mission, as well as the ability to think quickly in combat situations. He also has a uncanny way with computers and is able to find any weakness within that system and exploit it.
Augmentations include Electric shock resistors to minimise shocks from computer overloads and doors, DP13 nuron adaptors that allow him to think faster and therefore react faster to situations. a HUDEU which gives him a heads up display in his eye with wireless transmitter so he can hack into any computer on the move and without the need to find a mainframe or server room and in a sense become that computer.
This allows him to know any enemy movement plans and give the ability to sabotage them. as well as hide saber teams movements and create distractions
