I'm still working on Red with Roo, I'll post when that's all done and dusted.
Nope, that wouldn't work at all. In fact, that's even more likely to get violet killed...if people tried to force them to stay abi and Brooks would see them as a threat and probably 'get rid of them' before running away themselves.

Also, how the heck is a 15 yr old going to throw a truck?
Abi and Brooks are very...practical people, I think that's the best way to describe them. I don't think they particularly want to get to the bottom of this; they really want to keep their heads down and wait until everything blows over. Given the chance, I doubt either of them would use their powers at all unless they're in a life-threatening situation. The plan was always to get out, disappear for a few years until their names are no longer on the news, then regroup and rebuild. Wandering headlong into trouble isn't on their to-do list, and so far the group's been nothing but trouble. In the collab, Abi's going to spin the situation so it's less "These people want to kill us" and more "if we play our cards right, we'll have free food, free lodging and a team of superpowered bodyguards, and we have nowhere else to run to" but even that's only going to keep them around until whatever fight AcerRo has planned comes up.

The most annoying part is the inability to use sentimental/emotional excuses to keep them around. I doubt Brooks is going to make friends at all, and Abi may be warm and friendly on the outside but she's also 100% ready to bail if things go south. They don't give a shit about the group, only each other. There needs to be an incentive for them to stay. I only know of one idea, and I want to avoid that unless I really have to use it, and that'd be blackmail; whoever Julian Guiderone is he'd probably know who Abi and Brooks really are. One quick phonecall telling them to stay put or face the cops and they'd co-operate. But...it's just a really clunky, forced way of doing things and brings in an NPC who seems far too important to delve into such petty matters.
@Stitches
You guys post again. As intense as Eli is, he's not gonna hurt or shoot anyone without reason. Move slowly and don't make him think anything is going on and all will be good.

So you guys want your characters to be somewhere, get there now. My next post is gonna move things along. If your character as a fighting bone, we're gonna need it.

After holding them both at gunpoint, throwing death threats and reducing one of them to tears I -highly- doubt Abi or Brooks will even consider helping in the fight. I should actually bring this up now; neither of them have any solid excuse to remain with the group at all, let alone help them. I'm going to try and make some bullshit up to keep them around but the only reason they haven't gotten into the truck and headed out of the town is because Eli was too busy pointing a gun at them. Idk if you want to bring in your pal Julian, or maybe I can work out a way to wound Abi/incapacitate her so she can't be moved away from the group as she recovers, but we need some concrete excuse to keep these two from fleeing. Any ideas that any of you have will be much appreciated.
@AcerRo If me and Biscuits do a collab, can Brooks move over to Abi and stop being held at gunpoint? We literally can't write anymore, since we're running out of filler for posts that are essentially "Brooks/Abi stand there with their hands up." If you could just tell us OOC if Eli's going to lower his gun in his next post then we'd save a lot of time.
Who's up next, then?
Why'd Nate throw a death threat to a 40yr old fat man? He's the least threatening thing in the world! Unless you want Brooks to scowl him to death.
.... anyone's. Vin is long overdue, biscuits is waiting for a moment to see what's goingto happen. I wouldn't mind an Eli post to sort things out and get them settled, because then we can move on to bashing Nate and introducing the new people.
If the mineshaft gets caved in the whole structure will probably be compromised, making the safehouse uninhabitable purely because it's liable to collapse at any moment. Be careful with our new house. Why don't you and Joseph collab and join together? Once Eli's stopped threatening Abi and Brooks, maybe we can stumble in on you two training in the woods - after all, one of you has super speed and the other one can...uh, control speed? IDK. I don't even know what a vector is, let alone comprehend your power.

It'd save a lot of hassle because then at least we'll know you're both in the Unwanted Squad and you won't end up staring down the barrel of a shotgun trying to make frantic excuses without admitting to the fact you're a superpowered mutant. Learn from our mistakes.
I'm fairly certain it's inevitable that, eventually, they'll find out the truth about our gangster duo. I wonder if mr. Guiderone will use it as leverage later on, or if the FBI/CIA/MI5 whoever's chasing after us decides to try and openly bargain with Abi and Brooks, reducing prison times if they lure the others into a trap...who knows. It'll come to light eventually - just not in the near future.

EDIT: I should probably mention that Abigail's deceptive nature will probably be obvious VERY early on as I have no doubt we'll be needing her acting skills to get out of sticky situations. Hell, if she can get Eli to lower her gun, the world's her oyster...
