Fixed it up for you @DeadbeatWalking!
Ah, that's because I'm working with my buddy with Dr Graham before I submit my edited sheet. Just fiddling around with trivial parts of the backstory - if I only get one rewrite, I have to make Alice's history work with Elijah's even if he has to change it around a little. Thanks for the help though, we should be done by tonight!
@DeadbeatWalking How many traits is too many, would you say? I've knocked it back to 6 positives and 4 negatives with a total of 3. Also, I've bumped her age up to 27.

โ€œNice to meet you Mdazi,โ€ Abigail responded cheerfully. โ€œSay, if you're the doctor, did all my paperwork come through okay? The captain wasn't aware of my condition when I first met him.โ€ She was going to say more but the only remaining crew member had just popped out of his room and Abigail turned to look over at him and wave him down. โ€œHold on,โ€ she mumbled under her breath, โ€œlet's find out a little more about our crew.โ€

โ€œHey, hey mister!โ€ Abigail called out to Finn. โ€œIโ€™m Abi, who are you?โ€
Ah shite. We've already got a doctor, don't we? I might have to completely rewrite Alice again...

EDIT: We found a way around it, but my buddy's sheet is going to take much longer than anticipated because of it. Here's Alice in the meantime.

Quick update on the sheets - I've had to alter Alice's history to be singer turned nurse for my friends character. He's making a doctor. We're almost done on that front too, just need to flesh out our bullet pointed history and get Dr. Graham some traits.
I wonder - is it possible to play a character who is not incredibly racist in this time period? I'm thinking more about my singer/flapper girl; you'd think that the dive bars and gentlemen's clubs of the time would hire African American performers, coupled with the fact the whole purpose of a flapper was to turn social norms on their head, would allow a character that at least doesn't treat people of colour with open hostility? I'm thinking my Alice will view them as objects of curiosity as well as trying her damnedest to treat them 'normally', even though her upbringing makes it difficult.

EDIT: Actually, whilst I'm here - I'm looking the traits list. Are they are hard and fast rule? I put my girl down as 'Foreign' because she has 'strange customs' (see above) that, to a conservative country hick in a farm, would probably build up prejudice.

Reika walked right past her and Abigail did not seem to mind in the slightest. She seemed to be too engrossed in her work as the pilot made her way up the ladder but looked away from her holopad long enough to see the Havikka doctor struggle to even reach her doorpad. Abigail frowned a little. She closed whatever it was that she was running on that holopad and typed a few words onto the screen before re-opening the program. Her lips moved ever so slightly as she read whatever results came off it and she nodded to herself, brows creasing with frustration. She hardly noticed when the Havikka exited but did turn to face her once she started up a conversation.

โ€œAfternoon miss,โ€ Abigail responded politely. She set the holopad aside to give the shipโ€™s doctor her full attention - it beeped as it turned off, becoming a mere slab of transparent plastic once she let go of it. โ€œI donโ€™t think you got a chance to even introduce yourself back there, nobody really did...thatโ€™s the captain for you though. Iโ€™m Abigail.โ€ She held a hand out for the Havikka to shake - notably, she held it at a height that Mdazi could actually reach. It didnโ€™t even seem forced. In fact, Abigail was peering at Mdaziโ€™s door from time to time with a frown.

โ€œWe did a whole module on the flaws in human-centric ship design at the university I went to,โ€ Abigail mused miserably, โ€œand the best engineers this empire has to offer didnโ€™t even consider that any extra-terrestrial would be on this crew? I guess the empireโ€™s always been a little racist. Anyway, Iโ€™ve made a note to go around and make sure youโ€™ve got as much access to this ship as anyone else. And before you complain,โ€ she held a finger up and smirked, โ€œIโ€™m pretty sure the shower handles are even higher up than the door lock. So itโ€™s a matter of the upmost importance. Besides, this shipโ€™s so shiny and new that I probably wonโ€™t have much to do until I get enough data on how it works out in space, so Iโ€™ve got time.โ€

Abigail glanced up at the hatch. She seemed to have a way of talking, as if her stream of consciousness was more of a white-water river and you end up swept up in her ramblings. At least she spoke her mind. โ€œAlso ignore whatever that Saigyo girl was on about earlier. I think youโ€™d probably be a better medic than most humans. No doubt you had to study from the very basics and work your way up; even women like Saigyo kind of know where their brain is meant to beโ€ฆah, shit. Iโ€™m going off on a rant again. Sorry!โ€ Abigail chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. โ€œI donโ€™t even think I asked for your name. Oh god, how rude of me. Iโ€™m just really excited for this mission, thatโ€™s all.โ€
I remember when this RP's first iteration came out; I was too late to join in the sign-up process, so I'd like to reserve two spots here - one for me, and one for my friend. I'll be playing a flapper girl/bar singer who's down on her luck and has had to go running back to her farmhand uncle to find work.

Abigail took the dorm closest to the hatch to the upper floor. It was a strategic choice, as she knew that she would be up all hours working on the ship and didnโ€™t want to wake too many people when she finally manages to snatch a few hoursโ€™ sleep. She went in, the door snapped shut behind her and the touchpad on the door showed it to be locked and, within the minute, assigned to โ€œA_HARLOWโ€. A few other moments later and the steady thump of post-modern synth pop started to reverberate into the corridor. It was SYSTEM74, one of the more popular bands for young adults these days. To the uninitiated, it sounded like someone was trying to compose an orchestral piece using industrial tools.

Luckily Abigail kept the volume to a respectable volume and she wasnโ€™t blaring her music for too long, just long enough to unpack and settle in. Afterwards she leant against her open doorframe, revealing that she took her meagre lodgings and transformed them with posters, photographs and all sorts of rugs and pillows into something that looked like an oversized pillow fort. If anything, it would at least dampen the noise. She remained perched between her own room and the corridor as she was busy doing something on her holopad, a wire to the terminal within her room and an earpiece resting just outside its borders.
