- Air Magic - Abaegel can manipulate some of the air around her to move in various directions and speeds. She cannot alter its temperature and can somewhat affect the pressure.
- Observation - Due to previous events, Abaegel has been teaching herself how to spot the easily missed incongruity of the endless expanses of desert. She's now a decent scout and lookout.
- Acrobatics - some long-ingrained techniques of another life still dominate Abaegel's way of movement, making her extraordinarily light on her feet and quick to dodge attacks. She has a masterful control over her body that she uses instinctively in combat and daily life.

- Sand Skiff - a small, lightweight craft with a large sail used to traverse the desert in conditions of high wind. The cabin is sheltered for sandstorms.
- Buddy - An adolescent Dhuuna. Large and docile, these pack-beasts are around the same size as Borneo Pygmy Elephant. Their leathery skin and armoured plating protects them from harsh conditions whilst the fatty lumps hanging off their abdomen store reserves of water.
- Hang Glider - A large kite on a thin, hollow metal frame that can be used by one person to glide in the air.

Abaegel is shorter, stockier and more amorphous than your usual Fae. Her skin is tan from her days spent under the sun, her hair is white and unruly but her eyebrows are a dark brown. Her eyes are a dullish pale grey. She has a potato nose and long pointed ears, often sunburnt. Her outfits are loose fitting and suitable for the climate but not for combat. She often wears a headscarf and colourful garments when she’s settled; when travelling, she wears heavy robes, sturdy slippers and a wide-brimmed hat with a full face veil. Peeking just out of her hairline is the start of a largeish scar on her scalp that she uses her hair to cover.

Abaegel bears the tell-tale signs of a woman forced to mature too quickly. She fluctuates between being self-sufficient and sensible to fooling around and making lighthearted jokes. Often restless and always fidgety, Abaegel has a boundless amount of energy that spills into her everyday life and fuels her moments of irrationality, those famous “fuck-it-let’s-give-this-a-shot” ideas that every young adult has been guilty of before. She’s a bit of a show-off and enjoys rampantly abusing her magic to the detriment of her energy levels, becoming quick to tire as her constant little party tricks accumulate on top of the more complex and fatiguing spellcraft.
Abaegel’s perfectionism is probably her most defining feature. She’ll literally work herself to exhaustion if left unchecked and sets herself nigh-impossible goals to attain, as if she’s been recently deprived of strength and power. She adapts her demeanor somewhat to suit the company she is in, though more often than not she will remain warm, friendly, playful and welcoming to strangers. Her keen gut instinct means that even if she can’t exactly avoid trouble, she was well equipped for getting herself out of whatever screw-up she inevitably lands herself in. Even if she acts like a dumb-ass from time to time, no-one is more aware of their own fragility than Abaegel. Almost everything she does is humbled by the constant reminder that she is weaker and less experienced than most of the people around her. Abaegel isn’t afraid of running away from fights she can’t handle and has a healthy amount of common sense that inhibits her impulsive behaviour from time to time. This common sense is in a constant state of conflict with her curiosity, which sometimes gets the better of her. Her eagerness to discover and learn often gets her into weird and dangerous situations.
