Sender: Your Soon-to-be Very Best Friend

"Hello, Stranger! I'm going to steal your very life away... be prepared, or you'll soon be left with absolutely nothing. I'll be meeting you soon and proceed to become a dear friend of yours, so be careful of those that get close to you!"

That was all Character A got as a warning before life took a strange turn that day. The week had started normally enough in the wet and polluted city of Gehenna, yet all started to fall apart at the seams as strange events started to happen around them. First the appearance of a few old acquaintances they did not remember ever meeting despite the numerous proofs of the contrary... then Character A's very live seemed to disintegrate, one familiar gesture at a time. But who is at the source of this new found misery? Are thing merely a product of a slowly degenerating mind? Are they simply going crazy?

But no, that would be too simple, and there is an uneasy feeling in the air despite the care shown by those around them... be careful, your life is slipping through your fingers, stranger.

That's what I got, the initial idea being that a very blunt yet skilled identity thief will enter Character's A life and slowly overthrow their control over it, essentially becoming them if not stopped before the 'end'. I'm open for either the victim or the thief's role, and we can split the supporting characters between us as we need them for the plot, if you're still interested. Naturally, the two's false friendship will get REALLY complicated as truths and lies mix into an unidentifiable mess.

Hello! I've got a basic plot combining Cyber-Punk, Crime, a milder kind of Horror and VERY complicated friendship that uses a tropes subversion surrounding Scifi identity theft, if that pique your interest. Should I tell you more about it?

Do YOU Want to Play? [GMing for Single or Small Groups]

Hey there, the one who look bored by the water cooler, and you, in the basement! Do you want to play a twist at the old GMed tabletop in a completely original setting and plot? Do you want a world that revolves around your character as they make difficult and not so difficult choices that will actually matter and not e rail-rolled into a static script by a machine? Well, you're at the right place!

I'm Mangler, and I propose myself as a GM for either single players looking for a truly customized experience or small groups that want to sit back and have fun as chaos spread around them. I can do a great variety of genres, but first of all I'll tell you what you get yourself into if you state your interest here or via PM:

- CUSTOMIZATION: You can directly tweak the path of the story with your actions, and I'll adjust accordingly.
- SETTINGS: You want something relaxing? Something full of action? You want no Bad End or lots of them? Heck, you can even request the type of reward and level-up system you want before we start!
- NPCS: I take care of the minor and supporting characters, crafting a hopefully vibrant cast of NPCs so that the whole game won't be your character alone in a room or something.
- FLEXIBLE HOURS: While I will try to respond within 24 hours of your post, I am happy to discuss with you if you want longer but less frequent posts, or to be understanding if you got to be out of town for a few weeks or something.

Much more will be made available to you depending on the plot you choose, so feel free to ask and suggest! Currently, I'm both taking plot ideas to review and proposing the following plot bunnies:

Sibling Duties: As it turns out, your estranged parents decided to go on a honeymoon and left the siblings you did not even know you had on your doorstep. Now, how to manage life as a working adult with a eight years old child depending on you? This may take a while to figure out, but you do know that you got a year to be the best older sibling in the world... that is if you ever want to see the kid again!

Stealing the Arabian Nights: You know Aladdin? Well, how do you think you would like it to make your way to riches without a genie? The start is rough, and life is not fair, but the rewards are great and numerous for the clever thief in the sand-swept streets of Agrabah.

Hero from the Farmlands: Here is your chance to rise as a great Medieval Fantasy hero from the humble origins of a mere farm boy. Do you have what it take to be the leader your people need, or will you rise instead as a villainous sorcerer upon the world? Merchant, Knight, Mage, Nobleman, Bandit or Warlock, the options are near endless.

The plots above? They are only the one that were on the top of my head, and many more can be crafted especially for you with some of the following output:
Genres, Main Character Concept, Story or Setting Elements, General Feel, Cravings, Anything that pass your mind!

I'll be taking four games at a time, and as such my slots are limited to:

4 - FREE

This is to limit the waiting time and my chance to burn myself out. :)

Hi!

I'm Storymangler, or Mangler for short! I'm here to have fun and develop my ability to GM various types of roleplays, from individuals Choose Your Adventure-style stories with more freedom than you would usually get from interactive fiction to the more traditional group roleplays. I like LOTS of genres, so defining myself with just one favorite is a guaranteed failures as it changes nearly everyday. Besides that... 24 going on 25, speaks French at home and love silly things.
